Turbo header build part 2 is here and the stainless tubes are getting their final fit up. Watch and learn the ins and outs of back purging tubes for tig welding along with what it takes to actually weld them together. Theres a whole lot to learn in this video and at the end you get to see the pretty garrett turbo in place! I hope these videos give you the confidence to try and make headers or manifolds of your own for your own builds!
I am jealous of your tig skills! I've been thinking about picking up a cheap tig and making a shitbox exhaust for my bike for fun. Is that even possible or a hilariously stupid idea?
No, DO IT! its super rewarding, and its an incredibly useful skill. a cheap tig welder is all i have and good results can be had. I have a weld pro 220 if you want to start looking somewhere. It takes a lot of time to learn the ropes but, once your going there’s always more to learn.
Why is this taking you so long? You have way more people in your crew than I do.
Money, time, and my lead crew person (me) can get real moody sometimes. He’s probably only around 4 months of the year, considering firing him (me).
