@President-Caliph Dhuku It’s funny because the Quran itself also states that mountains, despite appearing firm and strong, are actually moving like waves. The Quran describes plate techtonics by giving the imagery that the natural slyscrapers we see in the world are moving.
Moreover there is nothing wrong with the way the Quran describes mountains as pegs. Maybe you didn’t watch the video enough

@Joker The main problem with your mindset is the fact that Truth can only be found via an empirical, tangible, and testable basis.
This is very dangerous because it literally would break your perception of reality and leave you in a state of confusion and contradiction, one of which being:
How can you empirically test the claim that Truth can only be found via an empirical, tangible, and testable basis, via an empirical, tangible, and testable basis? It's already self defeating unfortunately.

@Fernandez Gustavo Don't waste time on the likes of @Joker. He neither understand Islam nor the info he is regurgitating from the likes of Christopher Hitchens who said "extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence." Hitchens never bothered to define what qualifies for extraordinary; he merely made the remark to sound clever. For us, Muslims, the existence of God is not extraordinary but a self-evident truth that is inborn in every human child.

    • @ray620
      @ray620 Před 3 lety +5

@Joker You can test the Qur'an my friend:
      1) QUR'AN makes the claim, "if you are in doubt that this was revealed from other than Allah, then you would find many controdictions within it" - There's not one single controdiction within it.
      2) Quran describes the process of embryology and it's steps which involves the development of the fetus within the womb. An embryologist (can't remember his name) converted to Islam after discovering this, he realised there was no way a Bedouin Arab over 1400 years ago could have known this.
      3) Quran states that moon light is reflected light. Whereas it states the sun has its own source of light. (Bible gets this wrong)
      4) Allah SWT mentions in the Qur'an "it is we who have sent down the Qur'an, and it is we who will protect it (from corruption)" You may know that the Qur'an has been preserved letter for letter since it was revealed. This is a prophecy.
      5) Quran talks about how the planets are on their axis.
      6) QUR'AN mentions the big bang "do not the unbelievers see, that the heavens and the earth were joined together, then we clove them asunder".
      7) QURAN claims everything is made from water. This was recently discovered.
THERES COUNTLESS MORE I COULD MENTION. HOW DO YOU EXPLAIN THESE? HOW COULD A MAN OVER 1400 YEARS HAVE KNOWN THIS. PLEASE ANSWER.

This topic alone is what holds me stronger in faith of islam. We see that ring of fire, the chain of volcanic mountains, are situated at the edges of tectonic plates, which means, it must have an effect on the tectonic movements since the deep "root" of mountains should create a form of friction because outer mantle is like liquid, or viscoelastic fluid for someone who are more familiar with engineering terms.
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh.) lived far away from these mountains. The fact that he spoke these words, as he was just a mere merchant, not a geoscientist, is mind boggling. These are clearly not his words. Considering how honest he was, these must be the words from the owner of the Earth, the maker, the creator.

Since the verses (and relating verses) refer to the creation/formation of earth to make it hospitable for life, I'm pretty sure the Quran is talking about continental collision as it is a fundamental part of how the earth was formed, thus the "creation" of mountain range, the mountain range acts as the suturing that sutures the continentals together, thus hindering them from "moving". This is from a geological scientific perspective. If we look at the vast mountains ranges that exist across the globe, such as the Himalayan mountain range or the Alps, they all are created from continental collision, acts as suturing and hold the continentals in place. And for everyone not believing, just Google Continental collision and suturing of mountains.

This is simply an opinion ( could be wrong). As Qur'an describes it, the mountains and hills indeed are one of the major reasons for the stability of the tectonic plates. Afterall the frequency of earthquakes has been increasing with the large-scale increase of mining and quarrying activities ( recall the end-time hadith which talks about how 'mountains will be moved from their places'). We keep hearing about sinkholes, earthquakes, landslides. And the fact that they are being dug and moved from one place to another, to create parks, artificial mountains and what not, also means the stability of plates is being toyed with. It isn't very difficult then to believe in the verse describing the event of "Ardu zil zalaha" i.e. 'the great trembling of the earth' that is to come

That’s in surah al naba. The word awtada meas pegs or stakes. It’s the thing that stabilizes a tent for example. So god says mountains function as stabilizers of earth. And it has been proven that this is indeed true. The head of science in the USA wrote a book called EARTH. Which is recommended by almost all geology universities states that indeed the mountains are stabalizers for the earth. Quran is 100 percent correct in everything. Some anti islam geologists make up theories to reject the truth that’s mentioned 1400 years ago. Nowadays most geologists if not all agree that it stabilizes the earth. What they discovered mentioned 1400 years ago

This was tested using a model as well!. The topic of this video was by no means a fluke either, due to the fact that it has also happened with other mountains, San Gabriel mountains is an example. Nadir Ahmed said Allah threw mountains down onto the Earth in his debate with Apostate Prophet.
That’s why nonMuslims will keep bringing it up too.
Also, when tectonic plates smash into each other, there’s three things that happen, one of them is formation of mountains. So in that way, they don’t keep sliding against each other as much.

*The Quran believes that earthquakes don't exist:*
“And We have placed on the earth firm mountains, lest the Earth should shake with them”
    [al-Anbiya’ 21:31]
But earthquakes happen all the time and mountains do shake and they don't stop the earth from shaking.
Maybe a little bit in the Kathmandu valley according to the Dutch study bc of its unique topography, but not in general.

When are they going to realize science is not going to get them any where😅 they try so hard to figure out how Allah created creations while disregarding what Allah said about how he created the creations. They also change or add on to science everytime it's debunked or proven wrong may Allah guide them they are in confusion and are lost😭🌷

Let's be honest majority of these anti Islamists barely now any basic Arabic or any Arabic at all. This is why we Muslims need to be stronger in mastering the Arabic language because its the biggest shield against anti Islamists.
But if you Muslims don't know any Arabic or even the basics then I suggest to keep your tongues shut in case you say the wrong things and make things worse for our deen. That's just my opinion
