    Still, have the original bag (f802) from '99', a bit roughed up (gives it character) and still, soldiering on...Holds my 15in MacBook Pro, 1x iPad Pro 12.9, 1x iPad Pro 9.7, misc cords, dongles, portable SSD with room to spare. I have been a Domke loyalist since 1984, Domke produces some seriously great bags. My original F2 (after 30 years) has been retired as it is seriously battle worn, so I am on my 2nd as we speak, still have an original 1986 F3x (also showing it's age) and 1x 24-year-old 1F1-X.

      I've also been using Domke's for like 15 years. My only complaint is this one does not have much padding. I'm still using it though.

      I hear ya, but too much padding would just weigh it down and becomes more cumbersome. Remember these bags were designed by Jim Domke,
      then a staff shooter for the Philadelphia Inquirer and as a former PJ myself, grabbing a lens or body from my bag, while on the run (literally in some cases) without having to stop and dig around was the beauty of Jim's design, he even admitted that his bags lacked a lot of padding, just for that purpose.

    Amazing what fits in this thin bag. Mine holds a Hasselblad 500CM w/80mm lens and 2 spare lenses (50 & 150mm CF) with room for a chimney finder, meter and film

    Very good bag but there is no zip on the top. Dusts will go inside easily...

    Does iPad fit in main compartment verticaly?
    I don't really like the idea of the nonsecure outside pocket.

    could this be considered size wise, similar to a Billingham hadley pro?

    Does it fit and MacBook air 13"

    Hi, would a 13 inch laptop fit at the back of the bag? How about an ipad pro? Does it bulge too much when fit together (tablet/laptop) with a DSLR + 2 lenses I have been to many bag like Tenba, Lowepro, ThinkTank, Peak Deasign, but I am somehow like the simple yet attractive deisgn of this 803, Thank you
    .

    I really like your videos. Just curious: can you tell me what camera model you are using to shoot this particular video? I'd like to get the same. Thank you :)

    you said the strap wore out on your old domke bag, why not just buy a new strap?

    • @phototristan
      @phototristan  Před 10 lety

      It's built into the bag and not detachable.

    How waterproof is this bag?

    • @phototristan
      @phototristan  Před 5 lety +1

      Not much, bet the waxed canvas version for that.

      @@phototristan Pity they don't offer this in a nylon version similar to Billingham's fibrenyte. I like the Domke bag, but with no waterproofing i'm probably going to look elsewhere.
