"And Steven took it like a man and cried alot" LOL
Ooh so funny.
Steven: "The Doctor jumps through the mirror on the horse"
Russell: "As you do."
Daniel Petersen david said both of those things what
"I come through a mirror on a horse, as you do" I'm dying of laughter
"where I come through a mirror on a horse, as you do..."
I LOVE DAVID TENNANT'S SCOTTISH ACCENT!!!
He is scottish...
@@akamundi864 that is pretty obvious
Is it just me or does Moffat sound like David?
+AlphaDoesGaming both are Scottish xD
+Liongirl90 lol
Al Abbasi IKR?!
ALSO i dont mean the accent i mean like they just sound the same!! ITS AMAZING!
XD
it was so surprising the first time I still cant believe it
2:27 R.I.P. Headphone users :P
This just cements the fact that this episode is still one of my favorites.
That horse at the end scared me... Why...
This episode made me ugly cry at the end. There are way more emotional episodes for sure, but this one hit me very hard.
"You said it would be easy Dave >:("
Yeah, it'll be easy are famous last words in any production 😂
I cried so much with this episode , such a fantastic Doctor Who ep.
HORSE SCREAMER AT THE END!!! x3
Wow, Moffat looks so young!
This was before he took over as showrunner. I'm sure that ages a person quickly. 😂
Steven Moffat throwing a tantrum was how Hell Bent got through production.
@@LukasOfTheLight "There's a saying about the doctor of war. The first thing you notice about him is, he's unarmed. It's also the last thing you notice before you die."
Brilliant Moffat line. Explains so much with so little.
@@Kissfan96dr Yeah, probably the only good line from that episode...
Moffat's laugh at 1:22 Such a devil child. Love 'em
This was my favorite Dr. Who episode.
at the end, hi i'm matt smith and you're watching octor who on the disney channel
Doctor* just saying
I wanted to see how they actually did it.. and if David himself was jumping the horse or if it was a double.. aaaaarrrrggghhh title is misleading! Still... I loved that episode..
Uhh, Magic :D but see David riding a horse like not in the series but normaly it would be a death for me, because im a horse rider and i love David Tennant, so that combines XD
Why don't they have vids of him just riding horses? ;c It's very sad as that would be remarkable. XD
So how did they do it? WHY U NO EXPLAIN!?
TL;DR - The horse crashing through the mirror, it was CG. The ballroom was real, but the horse wasn't in there until they did the CG. It's pretty obvious, really.
Dana LaBerge haha yeah. I watched the whole confidential after seeing this clip. It was very interesting.
I was waiting for them to explain how they did it haha
EXPLAIN! EXPLAIN!
+AKO675 Y U MAD BRO???
Great editing! I never guessed in the final episode the horse wasn't in the Ball Room! I guess if the horse was formally dressed the owner would have accepted it into the Ballroom. ( jk ) This was one of my favourite episodes! Sad ending though!!
Peter Fox ik I cried
Bring back confidential!
2:27 Got the biggest shock of my life!!!
The computer background at 0:45
I swear they just did that just for this vid 😂😂😂😂
I watched these episodes of doctor who over and over
2:00 I love David Tennet.
1:23 the Moffat laugh. Spooky...
1:22 evil Moffat laughter
you did not show how it was done therefore the title was misleading, i am dissapointed
indeed, some brains are not yet suited to deduct the whole picture out of the pieces - you have to chew up the whole idea before shoving it through their eyes
Utopic Unicorn
Alternately, they could just, y'know, show it.
The horse was probably green screened and the mirror shattering was CGI.
As best I understand it there were four different layers::
1) A stunt double on a horse jumping in front of a green screen (wide shots only)
2) David Tennant on a rig copying the motion of the horse (close up shots only)
3) Blue glass shattering in front of a green screen. The blue was then coloured digitally.
4) The room full of people.
A very robotic comment.
This episode is one of my favorites. Can't wait for the clockwork androids return in series 8.
misleading title..
Awww Matt smith at the end :(
So, how did they made that?
A LOT of CGI.
*Make, verb tense is also important.
I'm from Czech Republic, so my english is not always perfect. Nobody's perfect, deal with it.
I'm guessing they busted the mirror within the hall in one shot, green screened David on the horse jumping over an obsticle, and CGI'ed a lot of breaking mirror over everything,
***** They explain it in confidential. It's hard to explain so I won't bother trying but look it up. I think they do it in miniature with a blue screen.
David's Scottish accent is soooo cuuuute!!!!!
When you are watching David Tennant & see Matt appeared at the end
the bit with Matt Smith at the end is so cool
Love Behind the scenes
That bit with 11 at the end was funny haha! XD
Allon-PONY!!!
Allon-HORSIE!!!!
At 2:08 it hilarious look at David's face
That horse had a great time !
so weird seeing the clockwork robots move like people lol
0:15 Good god, Moffat and Davies are next to each other, cats and dogs are living together!
Love David Tennant's expression... haha
I litterally just watched this episode before watching this.
This was filmed at Ragley Hall in the West Midlands
0:50 Did Julie refer do DT as "David Teninch" or was it just her accent making it sound like that? 😉
Also, re: the horse not being allowed in the ballroom, there's a story about King Frederic II. of Prussia and his favourite horse, Condé. Being the King's favourite, Condé was allowed to freely roam the castle grounds and one time they even let him into the castle itself. That was just the one time though, because Condé's body weight and metal horseshoes damaged the expensive tiles the floor was made of.
On-set nickname. Apparently, Billie Piper came up with that one, hah.
@@somerandomguy2073 xD
1:23 I love his accent
As someone who just started watching Who about a month ago and have made it all the way through Eccelston to episode 7 of series 7 I can say with that shot crash course all the wrongs of Moffatt era stand out even more. In very stark contrast. Him in this clip shows me exactly why.
What
Can anyone tell me what exactly is the name of the Song in the final... Thing, You know where Matt smith Uses his sonic. You know, Anyway. Whats the name of the song. I believe its part of the "I am the Doctor" soundtrack but I could be wrong
Thank you
Matt at the end ^_^
I now know Netflix or Virgin Media shares my info with CZcams or CZcams knows what I'm doing on my internet. I was watching The Girl In The Fireplace yesterday and CZcams recommended this video to me. I don't even mind!
Moffat is a genius.
David didn't actually ride the horse, as it broke through the glass. That was a stuntperson with David's head added over theirs.
Good bit of horseplay.
0:16 MOFFAT!!!
Oh well
+BonusPoints, it is part of " I am The Doctor" ...
does anyone know where I can watch all the confidential episodes? x
The easiest way is to buy the DVDs. They are on there. They are quite expensive but the episodes+confidential is worth it in my opinion. ^^
A lot of them are also on CZcams. Just search for "Doctor who [Episode] confidential" or "Doctor who s[x] e[x] confidential"
Cool.
Author the horse
1:13 I thought it said Phil Coulsin
Me at 2:17 - what a well rounded, fantastic incite into behind the scenes of Doctor Who
Me at - 2:27 - DEa R LoRd, wHAT CrEAtuRe SpELLs ThEse HaRROwinG SHriEKs !?
how on earth did they do that?
How did they make the horse look like it was in the ballroom?
what they did was they painted the image of a giant carrot on the mirror, didn't feed the horse for a week then...well, you get the idea
2:27 Jumpscare much?
+Jakkals WHY DID THEY PUT A HORSE IN THAT BIT OH MY LIFE I AM DEAD SO RANDOM.
Interesting.
Song on the outro?
Sounds like "I Am the Doctor," 11's theme.
Whoever hasn't subscribed do it now, if that ending doesn't make you subscribe I don't know what will
Weeping angel? Daleks? Silence?
Slenderman?
EnderGamingMC
nope.
If I were him I would say,
Hey, I jumped through a mirror while riding a horse. What did you do today?
Arthur looks like my loan pony Elite 😂
trot aroond a li'l bit end save the dee...again *rolls eyes
July 4 2007
2:27, I thought it was a scream for a second.
it's a horse scream :P
Soooo... How did they do it..?
0:14 O_O
1:03 why does Moffat sound like David Tennant?
Both Scottish
I love how they actually had to figure out the logistics of physically getting a horse through a mirror, when today it'd probably just be done with cgi
And would probably look terrible
2:27
horses
I do eventing!! How to train it to go through the mirror....... Hmmmmm. Let me think for a while on that.
Moffat sounds like Tennant. It's creepy.
Doctor Who is the best show in the universe!!!!!!! +Lightning LJS if you think so to.
Allons-y pony!!
This is not the TRUE Versailles Castle :( The Doctor *ALWAYS* lie...
When Moffat was still good.
well they might not be able to afford the real matt smith or something or dont know where to find him
What a misleading title. They didn't even tell us how it was done.
Is this horse the zygon horse?
Horse screamer. v_V
I had no idea David was so very Scottish. He's not that Scottish as the Doctor. I love it.
His Doctor is not at all Scottish (his accent is called 'Estuary', which is from south east England), but yes David Tennant is 100% Scottish in real life.
2:27 JESUS CHRIST
David tennant has scottish accent
David- starts talking
Me- *swooning* that accent. (I'm such a fan girl)
The 11th Doctor at the end cg or real?
Why would he be CG?
jak harkins True. He probably just filmed it.
God I miss real doctor who. What happend to it. RtD save us
Goat's back.
@@Comicbroe405 nope...now it's woke Disney nonsense (12th Doctor: "Doctor I LET YOU GO".
Sexists comment in the show: "I wish you were still women, she would have caught on, something a male presenting timelord would never understand, Just let it go".
Yes Moffat did many Sexists lines during his run, as did season 11 onwards. But this line was not needed more factually correct...)
Bet you regret saying this😫😭
@@ahamilton3435 oh you have no idea. Woke sexist garbage writing...they destroyed DT and Donna noble. Though its not surprising since DT's daughter is LGBTQ+XYZ...and the current studies on physiology suggest the reason why parents are pro this stance is because it is the only way they can justify to themselves for doing irreplaceable damage to their own child...
I LOVE STEVEN MOFFAT! like i don't get why people critize him for the deaths HE"S BRILLIANT!!
Yes he's brilliant, but he jumps between god and devil in my opinion. Take the Torchwood series as an example - the devil side of Moffat created that one.
+Stormtrooper Torchwood was created by Russel T Davis when Moffat got Doctor Who, actually.
Oh! I thought Moffat atleast directed it? Or psrts of it..?
Moffat had literally no involvement with Torchwood, besides the fact that one of his Doctor Who episodes introduced Captain Jack.
Steven Moffat is a guy who needs to have someone else tell him what to do. The best episodes of his were on RTD era. Season 5 was amazing for whatever reason, but the show quickly went downhill afterwards.
He needed someone to direct his energies. He can be an amazing writer but you want some quality control on that.
Lol title of video how to jump horse though a mirror, we don't see or get told how they actually do get a horse to jump through a mirror.
Why didn't they just use special effects on the breaking glass part. Use some green screen...? I dunno. God damn it Steven Moffat.
They did, but there's several different layers to composite together::
1) A horse jumping with a stunt double against a green screen.
2) David Tennant on a rig imitating the motion of the horse.
3) A blue window shattering against a green screen.
4) The actual room with people.
