  • Just a short tutorial on how to program the Bachmann E-Z command DCC decoder equipped turnouts and crossovers into your E-Z command control center. Maybe you bought one used and have no idea how to program these types of tracks into your DCC controller.
    Hopefully this will help you program these turnouts and crossovers into your DCC control center, they also work with other types of DCC systems and are probably similar in programming into your DCC system.

    Are you building a layout? If you are, you should defiantly do layout updates and reviews and stuff like that. I originally subscribed to you because of your reviews on woodworking tools and now you made a video about ho scale stuff, I think that's awesome! Two thing I love, woodworking and model trains.

    • @soulwinner4JESUS
      @soulwinner4JESUS  Před 9 lety +1

      Yes I am in the process of building an HO scale layout, glad to hear you also like model trains :) That's a good idea, I shall make some videos of the progress of the layout build, I am going to use styrofoam to raise up the track. I just started and don't really have much done yet, I am now weathering the track and then soldering them all together.

    Nice video there. Got ask did you cut green wires off from turnout crossover ez turnout track switches remote there? I noticed i didn't see any green wires there.

  • @Eclipse1988
    @Eclipse1988 Před 5 měsíci

    Being it's DCC, do you need to juice the frogs on ez track switches to avoid a short or power loss when switching? I also have older switches im re using to avoid spending 90 bucks a piece of these things (although future add ons will be wireless switches).

  • @russcole5685

    So I'm guessing these DCC turnouts use the loco ID9 it's not an accessory ID 9. Therefore, maybe we can control these turnouts with other NMRA friendly control units

    Great video. Straightforward and easy to understand. I am using a Bachmann EZ command system for an N scale layout. Bachmann does not make DCC turnouts in N scale. Do you know if ANY other turnouts can be used/programmed in this system? Can you also please answer the question about whether you can have a locomotive programmed to address 9 and still use address 9 to control turnouts?

    • @soulwinner4JESUS
      @soulwinner4JESUS  Před 4 lety

      I don't know about the N scale stuff and, as far as I know you can not use program 9 to run a locomotive

    • @soulwinner4JESUS
      @soulwinner4JESUS  Před 7 lety +1

      I think that the speed you are asking about is controlled from the dcc board on the engine but, I could be wrong, this dcc controller is compatible to run those speeds you asked about

    Can you please share a link to what turnouts can be used so I'll buy the right ones. I found some Backmann right and left turnouts but they come with red wires and manual switches.. About $23 a piece

    • @soulwinner4JESUS

      you have to buy the EZ command turnouts not the regular wire connection turnouts like this

    • @davidtheriot3205
      @davidtheriot3205 Před 3 lety

      No you cannot use #9 to run a Locomotive if you are using it to run the turnouts. If you are not using #9 to run DCC turnouts, then yes you can use it to run a locomotive.

    How many switches can be programmed with the Bachmann E-Z Command?

    • @soulwinner4JESUS
      @soulwinner4JESUS  Před 9 lety +1

      @KZinSalida you can program 8 which consists of one working alone per channel (1-8) or you can program 16 which consists of 2 working together at the same time per channel (1-8)

    • @soulwinner4JESUS

      +Bo-Javin Griffith it plugs or hard wires into the same power track as any other power pack. so the power track of your train track will work for it.
