- READ, please: This top is only my opinion. I accept any other opinions from you, as long as they are decent and respectable. I actually made this video because I have a true love for old Hollywood and for these ladies, who are really inspiring to me.
If I could change something, I would put Ava Gardner and Jean Harlow on a better place and I would add Joan Crawford , Coleen Gray and Gina Lollobrigida on this top as well.

God...my heart aches for the loss of the Golden Age of Hollywood. Grace, Glamour, Elegance, a time lost but not forgotten. I recently went on a tour of what was the old Grauman's Chinese Theater, it is one of the most beautiful theaters I have ever seen. I think about all the amazing premiers that happened in that theater...they even had Judy Garlands original dress she worn in the Wizard of Oz. For some reason...I wish I could have stayed in there for ever. That was an amazing video. Thank you.
Back in the day when glamor was truly glamorous .... they had different camera and lighting techniques also ... these woman could look flawless. I loved that era so very much and loved watching the movies from that time period and still do from time to time watch them. Ahhhh ... another walk down memory lane.

Hello everybody! I am the creator of this video and unfortunately I have forgotten my password for this channel, but I wanted to thank you all for the many many views and for your commentaries! I also want to say, since i saw some comments, that this video is in no way something 'official' and you should definitely not take my opinion to heart because I made this top 6 years ago, when I was...14-15, so I was just a kid having fun with my hobbies, because beauty is subjective and these are all beautiful women who should not be judged by numbers anyway. Oh, and Hedy Lamarr is still my number 1. :))

I had never heard of her, and recently I read she was an inventor too.

For me , the top 10 were Vivian Lee, Lauren Bacall, Gene Tierney, Liz Taylor, Maureen O'Hara, Myrna Loy, Loretta Young , Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, and my all time favorite, Rita Hayworth. She was just breath taking onscreen.

Hedy Lamarr was not only beautiful, but brilliant as well. But for my money, Vivien Lee (especially as a younger Scarlett in "Gone With The Wind") was simply gorgeously captivating. No doubt why men swooned and women scorned.

I had the pleasure of meeting the great Hollywood makeup man, Charlie Schram, many years ago in LA. He did everyone, from Elizabeth Taylor, to Hedy Lamarr. But when I asked him, "Who was more beautiful, Elizabeth Taylor, or Hedy Lamarr?," he answered in a heartbeat, "When they first come to me in the morning, without a stitch of makeup on... Hedy Lamarr. Definitely, HEDY LAMARR."
On a more personal note, if I had to choose, I think that the greatest face on film has to be the great Gene Tierney. She had this look at was absolutely luminescent on film... just magical. But I guess it always just boils down to personal taste. They're all beautiful in their own ways.
To me, the two were almost equal in beauty, but this is an opinion by one who would know more than most.

Well, everybody has their favorites. In no order: Taylor, Audrey Hepburn, Badot, V. Leigh, Garbo's face dominates the screen, Natalie is picture perfect, Of course, Hedy should be at the top of the list. "O beauty, till now I hardly knew thee." Like to put in the name of an unknown: Margorie Woodworth, a bleached blone with an unforgetful face.
Pictures of Ava Gardner with her hair longer are the best representation of her beauty. The shorter hair pics, which most people use in montages of this kind, don't do her justice.

Ava Gardner's beauty was at its zenith in this movie. Dear heavens. The part where she wore the periwinkle corseted robe and sang "Bill" with such incredible longing. The camera pans in to her face and she took my breath away. It was at that moment that I knew what all the fuss was about concerning Miss Gardner. Rare beauty. I've since heard the version where her own voice is sung rather than the dubbed professional singer. I prefer Ava's. Smokey, sultry and tinged with a profound longing... Sigh.

Great list. I watched the whole thing. It's difficult to describe these women. How can a woman be so beautiful? Some of them are not just beautiful, but disturbingly beautiful. I was raised watching old movies. The list is subjective. I agree with most of it but I would add Bette Davis who I adore. I would also add Mary Astor. Thx for the vid!
I've seen 2 of these classic beauties lists and both left out Bette Davis! I heard she was not a nice person,but she was beautiful & stunning imo. Also left off were Barbara Stanwyck, Donna Reed, Lucille Ball. I loved them all.
A really great job on this ! and the music is appropriate -, Ethereal and sensitive. these lovely ladies graced our world in the past generations, never to be forgotten. A true gift to humanity.
