- The Mannlicher Model 1894 pistol came to be in the infancy of the semi-auto pistol era, and so while it's blow-forward design is unusual today, it really wasn't out of place when it was brand new. Available October 29-30, check out Milestone Auctions for more info.

Such a cool looking piece, loved seeing one actually get Field stripped too! Didn't realize they made them in two different calibers. I love the design and all of the machining work that went into this pistol, so cool!
Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching.
@HighCaliberHistoryLLC anytime thanks!
cool... thanks
is the inner working
of a revolver much simpler?
that seemed a similar number
of parts and complexity... plus its
thinner... how does blow fwd go
for recoil/reliability/accuracy?
Thanks for watching. Internally, the mechanism isn't much different than a double-action revolver. However, manufacturing is more complex as there are more parts: barrel shroud, recoil spring, extractor, etc. As for accuracy: it's fairly comparable. Like anything, you've just got to get used to it.
What is it that makes the barrel blow forward? Is it simply the pressure inside the barrel acting on it like it does on a simple blow back design?
And how exactly does that extractor work? Does it stay behind when the barrel moves forward?
You're correct on both parts. The pressure in the barrel pulls it forward since the breech is stationary. The extractor stays behind when the barrel goes forward.
А на русский можно перевести, хотя бы титрами?
