Shortly after I converted from Baptist to the true restored Church, I had so much enlightenment poured into my head! I realized much in the Bible is literal! Baptism for the dead means what it says, when Jesus prays to his Father, it Was His Father! He wasn't talking to himself! So much made sense, confusion was gone! Thanks guys!

While I was a Presbyterian I had a hard time reconciling the fact that our paid clergy were interviewed by the Board, who then chose who to hire to preach on Sundays. If there were disagreements between the two, if there was contention, sometimes the pastor was let go & the process started over. For me, there were too many discrepancies and feelings that something was missing. That there was more that God wanted me to know & I sure wasn’t going to find it there.
I decided to stop listening to the noise & go find out on my own. No one knew about this because I wanted to know if I could have a personal relationship with God & Jesus Christ. I did t want anyone’s opinions or criticism. Just by the reading of the Book of Mormon and the Doctrine & Covenants alongside the Holy Bible, the gospel of Jesus Christ burned in my chest & started making sense finally. I grew up bing told “Mormons aren’t Christian’s”. When I decided to find out for myself (read/pray/ponder/ask questions) I was free to make my own choice about really following Christ. That was over 25 years ago. I just don’t know how I could deal with all that happens in life if I didn’t have this very solid Gospel foundation. My love for the Savior & God has expanded. I’m grateful that the Gospel of Christ gives me a family for eternity, hope for the future, and a clear direction in my life. Signed, “Former ‘Mormon’
    Basher”

All the members i have met love Christ truly and the faith is in part about emulating Christ and being inspired by him to develop yourself on the path of eternal progression. I love the members and the missionaries they are very friendly and we can agree to disagree on some issues, mostly non-essential in my mind, and be one in the worship of God and Christ. Actually Satan did NOT “sin” or transgress any law in Heaven. According to both the Bible and modern-day revelations, Satan and Co. were cast out for “rebellion” as they sought to destroy humankind.
That’s quite different from sin. To sin, you’d have to first be under a law, and if we (being imperfect) were under a law of the gospel, we’d have sinned and not been able to remain in God’s presence. So be careful what you are playing with there. The nuance is lost on them-and you possibly-unless you understand why we were guiltless in heaven. It certainly wasn’t because we were good like Jesus. It’s because we had the power to choose but had no consequences for our actions.
That’s why we came to earth, so that we could truly have agency. Satan rejects the principle of agency and wants to destroy God and his free-agent children.

So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters.12 He says, 'I will declare your name to my brothers and sisters; in the assembly I will sing your praises.'

Joseph Fielding McConkie, in his book "Gospel Symbolism", page 247, states:
"If we are to be honest in scripture study we cannot claim for the scriptures what they do not claim for themselves.
The scriptures do not claim infallibility or inerrancy.
They do not claim to have all the answers, and
they do not claim to be all of equal worth.
They do not claim prophets are infallible.
They do not convey authority, remit sin, or call to office.
They are in all things subject to the living oracles.
Such is the testimony they bear of themselves."
The Bible does not define "Christian."
Nor does it enumerate the qualifications, requirements, regulations, standards, and criteria to claim the undefined label "Christian."

I think the biggest difference between theology isn't in the 3 in 1 concept of the trinity, it is in this: Colossians 1:17 "He is before all things, and in him all things hold together." and acts 17:28 "For in him we live and move and have our being." Traditional Christianity understands verses like this to mean that that nothing has existence or "being" outside of God. Abraham chapter 3 of course gives a very different scenario where God is a powerful being among an infinite number of other eternal intelligences that exist independently from him in a universe that has just always been, it has no creator but God has learned to manipulate this self existing universe in a way that He can do whatever he wants and what he wants to do is help other intelligences become like He is. These are two very different concepts of God.
That said, mormons believe that God is eternal, and that Jesus is the Son of God and that He was God before his birth, and that he is one with the Father, and that he came in the flesh to redeem the world. They also believe that Jesus is our Lord and lawgiver. Those are the things the New Testament emphasizes so I have no problem seeing a mormon as a fellow believer in Jesus even if I disagree with some theology.

I feel bad for putting "Mormonism" on the back burner for all of these years. I've been researching various religions, philosophies, cults, and schools of thought - similar to Kwaku, for over a decade now.
I never gave "Mormonism" much thought, because I had the same view that the media shows us, that "they're the crazy ones that think Jesus came to this continent - period." It's so, so much deeper than that. Please forgive me, for I did not know.
I feel like all of my years of study was required before I came back full circle to Mormonism, in order to have a more complete understanding of the symbolism, the details, the whole thing! I understand the Temple better because of my previous research. Whereas your typical Christians are afraid the Temple, afraid of it because they do not understand it! Little do they know of it's importance and the crucial messages entwined throughout it.
I can firmly proclaim that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only living Church - Living! Restored to it's fullness. The final missing puzzle piece. Other churches now, to me, feel like they're preaching from the top of a tombstone.
Midnight Mormons is the reason that I've begun reading, and studying, the Book of Mormon, as well as D&C, and the Pearl of Great Price. Other members might view your content as inappropriate or what have you, but I'm proof that what you're doing is effective. The distinction for evangelicals about Jesus and Satan and humans is a question of difference in kind. Sister Roach, from FAIR has a good explanation. Essentially, God is an Uncreated Being, or Unmoved Mover. He is regarded as qualitatively different from Angels, Demons, and humans which are all created. When we say Christ is our elder brother, they hear that Christ is a created being and therefore less than God. Obviously, there is a misunderstanding here that stems from differences in theology about who we are and the nature and purpose of our existence. It is true that the Bible does support The LDS position better than the evangelical one, but their issue isn't stupidity. It's a difference in interpretation.

The term Christian was a popularised nickname for the saints given by their enemies at the time of the early apostles in the exact same way that Mormon is a nickname for the Latter Day Saints also given by our enemies. Emphasising that we are Latter Day Saints is a lot more important than trying to fit in with Christianity.

He makes a big deal about no crosses on chapels. So I had to drive from San Antonio to Cincinnati to Lexington so on the way I counted crosses on steeples I found about 65% of Charles have straight pointed steeples like LDS chapels. Of the chapels with crosses the catholic cathedrals, Pentecostal and first church of God were always the main chapels with crosses. So churches he would get not along with have crosses a bizarre argument to make.
I would really like to see him ask his questions about the differences to Dr Ross Baron as opposed to his ambushing a non responsive audience. You guys would be hilarious to have him ask his questions to. You should have him on.
