Not the biggest fan of how this movie had to be edited, but the copyright issues on it were insane; no idea why but we did our best. If you're not a fan of the editing we had to do then I don't blame you lol, sorry for it being a day late as well!
I like your videos you see young guns 2
I remember seening new jack city when i was in highschool.
React to the movie " Baby Boy " .

Please! 🙌🏾
Please!!
And then “Life”
That old guy LOVED his community. THAT’S why he did what he did to Nino.
Fun Fact: Vanessa Williams the actress that played Nino's henchwoman is the same actress that played the mother with the baby in Candyman.
That is her lol I didn't notice it till you said that. Good eye
@@devonwyatt8498 Thanks. I've known this for many years but when I've told people this they're just as shocked lol
Yup.
And nick ashford ashford and simpson was preacher or reverend oates
She looks the same in the sequel! She doesn't age! Rock A Bye Baby💥🌟✨
"I'm Gonna Get You Sucka" is a hilarious flick from 1988, also with Chris Rock....lol
The guy singing at 26:24 was Keith Sweat. He was kinda a BIG DEAL in the 90s😍😍
and his music is R&B alone with al B sure, debarge, and my fav female singer ever for me anita baker.
Omg everyone slow dancing to make it last forever in high school LOL
@@MG-jv7pe i have that song. Its great.
The king of begging and he probably still holds that crown.
More like the late 80s.
I really think that you guys should do " Paid in Full" and then "American Gangster"... both are pure gold!!... trust me!!
I can back American Gangster for sure, damn epic movie.
but before that, they need to watch “King of NY” & “Sugar Hill” first …
Both of these for sure!
Paid In Full first!
Yes
New Jack City soundtrack is dope asf
Certifiable 🏆🏆
YUP.
GUY!!! Yes 😩😩😩
It was almost as big as the movie
Yep Keith sweat did his thing on there😎
Ya'll should do some more comedies. The Wood would be a fun start.
Oh yesssir
Agrees
"These are Ferragamos! Do you know how much these cost?"
-- "Yeah but how much you get em for?"
LOL
Classic brooooo
@@MG-jv7pe where the aspirin at?
I'm gonna keep asking for A Low Down Dirty Shame until y'all watch It.
With a young funny Jada Pinkett :)
Wayman🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I agree. Lol
That’s my movie!!
@@Kingericamusic
Yeah mine too.
I wish Keenan had made a sequel.
He could still do one now with the Asian guy who said one day they'll see each other again.
Fun fact Judd Nelson on the breakfast club was the white guy with the glasses in the movie with Ice T
Yup.
The song with the Inspector Gadget theme is called The Show by Doug E. Fresh and Slick Rick.
AT THE SAME TIME...
" NOOOO. NOT HIS CORNFLAKES..." LMFAO🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂
@ 3:29 :O)
That was funny! #twinning 🤣
Why tf were they so distraught about his cornflakes😂😂😂💀
@@DustyAddums OH they was serious about them flakes🤔💯... I thought it was just me.. guess not. Now if them bitchesss was frosted??? I would totally (YESSS its reference to Total Raisin Brand) understand 😅🤣😭..
Higher Learning. An all star cast. Ice Cube, Busta Rhymes, Michael Rappaport, Tyra Banks, Omar Eppes, Laurance Fishburn, Regina King, Morris Chestnut among others!!! John Singleton directed. Movie message is still relevant today!!!
Meaning people who took this movie as religion and who are still in prison....yes.
@@boramsey5122 ???????
Yesss
Absolutely I can see this being 1 of the next 3 movies they do
Yess! I second Higher Learning. I saw that in the theater when I was in high school. Such a great movie!
I love how concerned yall were over that guy's groceries getting destroyed 😭
“His corn flakes!” 🤣
That was funny! 😆😆😆😆
Thats Keith Sweat a well known RnB artist singing at the wedding mainly from the 80's lol.
“Rocabye Baybeeeeeeeeee” love this movie 💕
Crazy thing is this is a realest view of what it was like when crack was dropped in our neighborhood in the late 80s early 90s.
Interesting fact: Akosua Busia, who is in the audience of the courthouse when Nino is on trial, AKA Nettie from the movie “The Color Purple” (Ceily’s sister) was also John Singleton’s wife 😉 and til this day I quote Nino all the time when he says “SIT yo five dolla ass down before I make change!” 😂😂😂😂
The real funny thing I noticed is that wesley snipes pretty much hasn't aged that much and this was really early 90s. Damn Daywalker!
Black don't crack!
Before Wesley Snipes played the villain in this film, he was also the villain in Michael Jackson's BAD short film. Check it out. It's at least a 20min short film.
He was also in Wildcats, King of New York & Mo’ Better Blues.
@@therealmarlonbellamy Major League
If you guys are into early 90s movies with good music, check out House Party(1990). Good times.
You need to lighting it up a little by watching "Boomerang" with Eddie Murphy
Not YET!!!☝🏿MORE BEFORE THE COMEDY
Lol.
My favorite! ❤️
I've always said Nino Brown is one of the top 5 villains of all time.
Definitely
When Martin mimicked him on the episode with the stuffed dog, I cried laughing.
@@jamedraa8472 🤣🤣🤣
Even Wesley Snipes in the old interview said that he himself didn't like nino brown cause of the ruthless nature.
@@jamedraa8472 😂😂😂😂 classic
Fun Fact: The Carter apartment complex was based on a real place in Detroit where a drug kingpin bought a apartment complex and sold crack out of random units so the cops needed to get so many warrants to search it made it untouchable.
It's based on the Chambers brothers and the Broadmore apartments

Keisha is the woman from Candyman. That’s the lady who’s baby was taken by Helen. Vanessa Estelle Williams…this has so many memorable quotes. “I was prom Queen of KING HIGH SCHOOL!!! This is beneath me!” The words of a crackhead! 😩😩😩 y’all should check out King of New York. Laurence Fishburne is in that too.
Holy crap! I didn't know that. Looking at Keisha now, yeah, that's the same chick from Candyman. I always loved Keisha. She was such a bad ass.
Watch "The Color Purple."
In the movies when it came out everybody gave grandpa a standing ovation 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
The wood and thin line between love and hate yall!!!
“His corn flakes!!” 😂😂😂😂
Edit: Now that you’ve watched this, you have to see the clip from Martin when he did the bit with the dog “Martin, New Jack City”. It was hilarious!
😂With the stuffed dog😂😂😂
Classic!!!! Tommy holding his laughing made it that much funnier 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I knew someone would say this 😂😂😂
Yup. It was hilarious 😂!
I haven't watched this movie in a minute, but I remember so vividly that scene when everyone's just shuffling around in the courtyard like zombies. So heartbreaking.
It is heartbreaking I watched my family go through it and then I became a heroin addict myself and turned into one of those and after 7 years I ended up looking like one of them zombies from The walking Dead 2 years of struggling to get clean and I finally kicked it
Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood (1996)
Bro...im expecting a few tears when they get to this😂😂😂
They still haven't seen south central.
Fuck no lol
They're not gonna get the references in that movie.
Nooooo NOT TILL THEY WATCH SOUTH CENTRAL.... ITS THE LAST MOVIE THAT GOES WITH IT...
Seriously do you have any idea how far Ice T goes back. He is one of the originators of gangsta rap. And he is also one of the few rappers that was actually a real gangster and has one the pimp of the year award numerous times.
He gave us 'colors' if that was his only contribution to hip-hop (which it isn't) that one tune would be more than enough for lifelong recognition. More than 30 years later, the tune is as good as ever, and so is the movie.
You guys keep going at this pace and you're going to find yourselves invited to the cookout.
Dude stop! smh ....is this really all it takes??! smh
🤣😂😂😂fa Sho'
@@yami3960 Well they seem like cool people too so I will vouche for them.
Yes, they seem cool. Y'all can show appreciation without saying that cringe ass phrase. And if this 'social pass' were actually a thing, I would hope the actions required to get one would be far more demanding than simply watching black movies, or doing black dances, or listening to black music. Smh...
@@keemg10 I’d vouch for them to man, the fact that they took the time to watch this makes them ok in my book.
I'm still not giving up on Higher Learning and American History X!
YES TO BOTH!! Great movies both of them!
Fun fact: the role Chris rock played was originally meant for Martin Lawrence but his mentor (comedian Robin Harris) passed away so Martin opt out of the movie
thank god. its bad enough i had to see chris had to suffer.
Ya'll are showing A LOT of love to the classics! Love when your eyes widen in synchronization, great reaction.
Yup.
Watch "Berry Gordy's The Last Dragon", for a action/comedy. The movie is fun to watch.
MY FAVORITE MOVIEEE
I love you guys.... I love the fact that you two are so diverse with your film reactions.... Im waiting for the poetic justice reaction
I haven't seen anybody suggesting the movie "Colors" but it's a great movie from 1988 with Robert Duvall, a young Sean Penn, Damon Wayans, and a very young Don Cheadle. Cops vs the gangs of LA. type of crime story
If you guys ever turn to series by chance, THE WIRE is a must.
Greatest tv show of all time. No comparison or contenders.
Fuck yes the wire is a masterpiece I hate how breaking bad overshadowed the wire.
@@madnessing2774 there people who think breaking bad is better lol Omar would had kill Walter.
YES I was gne request a martin episode!
Where's Wallace stringer.
Surviving the Game with Ice Tea was pretty good too.
Poetic Justice next 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Watch "The Wood" guys. You'll definitely enjoy it.
"And then I saw a hand reaching out to me from the heavens.. Oh wait it was his fists" 😂😂 LOVE THAT MOVIE
If you like Wesley Snipes as a villain, I think you'd like Demolition Man.
Fun fact twins. This movie is actually based of a real crime family from lee county ,Arkansas . The chambers brothers .& Yes they where all blood brothers. The apartment in the movie was based off a building in inner city Baltimore called " the broadmoor" which was tooking over by them for their drug empire.
Yup.
Another great reaction, Gentlemen!
Next hood classics:
DEEP COVER
IN TO DEEP
PAID IN FULL
Deep Cover was fantastic.
Another classic, so many quotable lines. From Wesley, to Ice T to Chris Rock, it's just so well done.
Above The Rim you have to react 2pac in that one
I am just glad you watched it! I know the millennials like to throw the word iconic around to everything, but as a Generation X person, I'm telling you this movie is truly ICONIC and made Superstars out of the people in this movie.
DEEP COVER🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾
YASSSSSSS
Love that movie
"PAID IN FULL" IS A REAL ONE FELLAS!!!
"Do the Right Thing" please.
Y’all are the best...everybody reacts to everything but black cinema. But y’all are different and we love it...
At some point, you guys should react to Blood In Blood Out.
Yesss
Fresh is a movie you guys should watch because it’s the most underrated movie of this time period everyone says every movie except Fresh.
Great that your doing movies that other reactors aren't touching.
This was an amazing movie, and was the real start of Wesley Snipes. You knew he was no joke from this role. No disrespect to 'Bad', of course.
Love to see you cats do the 70's flick "Cooley High"
Should definitely check out “The Wood” , it’s a coming of age classic 👏🏽
FOUR BROTHERS!!! I’m telling y’all it’s such a good movie!!
thats what im saying. its a work of art.
Yessssssss
This movie is a classic Gem its timeless. I recommend Harlem Knights and A Low Down Dirty Shame. You guys rock I love your reaction to classics I grew up watching in the 90s.
19:34 pookie Says “Can A White Man Dance “ I remember the part that’s why they are laughing 😂🤣😂🤣
You guys are ready for

#RIPDMX
Why suggest that boring ass low budget production movie?
Oh yeah!
@@MississippiKaijuMusic You trippin
@@jwyzebeatz
Nah you and the rest of y'all is trippin.
Y'all really love that dry ass movie, I'll never understand it.
@@MississippiKaijuMusic i never seen it. is it good?
The fact homie thought the kango was they're hair is hilarious 😂😂😂 they probably didnt even notice flavor flavor they didnt kno the classic sings in it it's amazing seeing ppl that genuinely kno nothing about the movies or even that hip hop world is dope and different
Y’all should watch Crooklyn it’s another classic, you guys will like it
It's ironic when you both talk about how, in these movies, the characters who try to get their lives together end up being killed. Then, Curtis said how he starts to get numb to it. It's spot on in the way that people get desensitized to violence when they live around it constantly and experience consistent loss. Anyway, another cool vid y'all.
Hey! New Jack City! Been waiting for someone to react to this.
Since ya'll seen Menace to society, ya'll should do "Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood"...It's like a parody of menace to society and others, and is a classic comedy!
Edit: I'd rather ya'll watch Higher Learning, Dead Presidents and South Central first to get the references.
I commented that about a week ago. That film is hilarious 😆
They won't get the references from Higher Learning & Dead Presidents, tho.
@@earlonaweary9155 Nah, you right. I'd rather them watch the other movies first.
@@jwyzebeatz They've just reacted to it
AT LEAST SOUTH CENTRAL...
But I get it... Those movies, unfortunately, are disturbingly true... We all know one of those characters... And they don't. So to ask someone to relive traumatic events and don't have to is insanity 🙃... So yeah we can try to lighten it up.. but still may have some violence, drugs, sex,and most things LWB associated 🤣😭🤣😭🤣💯🥳
The book of Eli is a great film
Appreciate your guys dedication, the more the merrier.
We love your REACTIONS.
Great reaction. Watch The Last Dragon next.
"Don't Be A Menace" - should be next. You've watched all these 'hood' movies, you should watch a great spoof of them.
Seconded.
Third! I've been debating recommending it on Patreon, but it's hard for me to choose lol.
I didn't know someone else suggested this lol. I just commented the same, but good!
But they haven't seen poetic justice or south central yet. They need to watchthose 2 first
@@nopenottuhday2691 yeah cuz they spoof those two pretty heavy in that movie lol
8:59
I remember this as a kid. Every 1980s - 1990s kid know about that "Say No To Drugs" campaign. Crazy part is that that generation is now the Heroin Addicts of today.
I recommend Jason's Lyric. It's a great hood classic.
How bout Wesley and Woody in White Men can't jump. Great vids Bud's, keep it up
they also did another one call money train. funny as hell.
@@thedarkknightman6150 I love that movie, is it on their regular channel? Woody and Wesley all day, even too wong Fu let's go
The guy singing at the wedding is keith sweat an r&b legend
Judd Nelson was in a completely different movie from everyone else and I'm glad he was, he was just so entertaining in this shit!
Next do AMERICAN GANGSTER (2007) Starring Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe. It's a masterpiece!
Yup.
I swear I get so excited when y'all do a review y'all have me dying laughing 😂
Is that what it is? 😂 I always thought he couldn't act in this movie. Now I'm gonna watch again based off of your comment. 😂
26:16 The guy performing at the wedding is the R&B singer named Keith Sweat. It’s funny for him to show up as part of the movie.
Deep Cover or King of New York next!
I can quote this movie in my sleep. Great reaction guys 👍🏾
Chris Rock broke my heart in this movie. You guys should check out DEMOLITION MAN if you haven't already. As an overall movie, okay, but Wesley Snipes is priceless. One of the greatest villains ever imo.
Y’all should check out “The Warrior’s “ ... cult classic.... Can You Dig It......????
Fun fact: Ice-T said in an interview that this role would later inspire him to want to act in a crime drama as a cop again, hence Law and Order.......sike, I'm just messin. lol
Watch "Breakin'", "Beat Street", and "House Party".
You guys should watch Jason’s Lyric with Jada Pinkett it’s really good!
Great movie. Of course they're not going to like the ending lol
Higher Learning please. N 2 Deep is another underrated movie that's pretty good
"American Me" (1992) is a great film produced, directed and starring Edward James Olmos.
I would like to see you guys react to "Philadelphia" with Tom Hanks and Denzel Washington.
"Ya mommas ugly"....That intro was Krool!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Oh my gosh anybody else wants them to react to Harlem Nights?...Please super super funny
New Jack City was our Scarface & Nino Brown was our Tony Montana. New Jack City, Boyz N The Hood, Juice & Menace II Society is the Mount Rushmore of hood classics. Each movie taught us life lessons, launched a lot of careers, gets referenced in other movies, shows, songs, albums & mixtapes, people have named themselves after the characters, people have named these movies as their favorites & each movie is still relevant 30 plus later. Fun Fact: Martin Lawrence was supposed to play Pookie. He didn't due to the death of his mentor comedian/actor Robin Harris who played Sweet Dick Willie in Do The Right Thing. Martin took Robin's death hard. Chris Rock originally bombed the audition.
You guys should watch “Fruitvale Station” ....If you don’t shed a tear from that your not human 🤣
Yeah its a very good movie
I watched it once never wanna see it again it pissed me off
Higher Learning has to be next! It has ice cube and Michael Rapaport
You guys should watch Demolition Man (1993), Wesley Snipes action/sci-fi with great humor. Really fun movie that also stars Sylvester Stallone and Sandra Bullock.
Fun fact Wesley Snipes confirmed in 2017 in his interview on sways universe that he was approached with plans for a sequel. Nino survived, etc. but he turned it down because he didn’t want to glamorise to the drug game consisting of African American stereotypes.
There are so many celebs in this movie Fab 5 Freddie, Bill Nunn(Radio Raheem), Allen Payne, Mario Van Peeples, Ice-T, Vanessa Williams(Anne Marie from Candyman), R&B singers: Christopher Williams, Keith Sweat, Levert, Guy so many more
