      Mr. Qazi Do you do one to one mentoring? I don't believe your site mentions but I need that level of coaching.
      I realize time is money. But I think I benefit greatly with a personal coach. I've paid for so many different classes. I do have a "basic" understanding but I feel I'm not absorbing it the way I like to know Resolve. I understand it takes time and practice but I be having so many questions about identifying and being able to be better understand scopes, using bars, etc. that the principles get lost to me. Lol. Alot of what people say is there is no exact formula to get a good grade we just have to know the look that we want. I've reached out to 2 trainers so far hopefully one will have the ability to do virtual learning. I really want a coach.( Lol. I know I'm asking for too much)

    Mr. Qazi you really are a wealth of information and inspiration. Really wish you could mentor me through this Journey. I know you have a master class I could enroll into but I wish I had a more personal education. But that's asking too much.

    Quick Question: In some tutorials you apply Colour Space Transform on the very first node, then in some videos you apply in the middle node and in this video you've applied it on the last node so in which exact node are we supposed to apply it?

    • @lulumink0
      @lulumink0 Před 3 lety +4

      There is no exact way or absolute right way to do this. He graded this time in LOG space. Sometimes, he grades in Rec709 space. It depends what you do.

    • @yungdaddydk
      @yungdaddydk Před 3 lety

      @@lulumink0 so is there a specific node in which we should apply CST while grading for log or rec.709 footage?

    • @jrydertr
      @jrydertr Před 3 lety +2

      Depends really, keeping the cst as the last node and your exposure/balance nodes before it gives you more room to play with. Practice is always best!

    • @antoniomarchante8349
      @antoniomarchante8349 Před 3 lety +5

      From what I know, when you apply CST to convert to a smaller color space, you lose range to make major changes to the image. I always use color management but I guess if you use the CST you have to use it in a node where you know that the wide range will no longer be needed for the adjustments you will make from that node on. I guess Qazi as a pro colorist knows when he can use directly the CST as first node cause he doesn't need the range, or when he can put it as the last node to preserve the max range till the end. Just guessing, please ppl feel free to correct me 😊

    • @thenightowl5438
      @thenightowl5438 Před 3 lety +1

      @@antoniomarchante8349 I'd also like a clarification! Seems like, more times than not, you'd want to use the CST in the latter nodes

  • @darkshines800
    @darkshines800 Před 3 lety +1

    Respect your work man, but after you put the log node on and the sky went green I was waiting for you to pull that back. I guess I'm still waiting! But then that's why every grade is different and no grade is right or wrong

    Hi Qasi,
    I love all your videos.
    I am getting ready to upgrade from v16 free version to v17 free version. I am on a mac computer.
    I am confused about whether to uninstall v16 before I upgrade to v17 OR whether to install v17 over v16 without uninstalling v17 first.
    It seems there are many different opinions out there on which way is best.
    I just do not want to run into unforeseen problems.
    What do you do? Do you think there is any difference or one way is better than the other way?
    Thanks for any help with this.
