That's The Real Gangster! Alex Emelianenko vs. The Giants of Pride FC

  • Alexander Emelianenko was among the heavyweight cream-of-the-crop. Blistering speed, brutal chokes and merciless ground-and-pound - the younger Emelianenko had all it takes to dominate in MMA. Now, the most talented of the 3 brothers is a shadow of his former self, taking fights against CZcamsrs to entertain the local audience. So it would be nice to reminisce about the heyday of Emelianenko jr.

@@countdoogula2781 sounds like you dont know about how UFC gives bonuses to fighters like its a video game.
if you do a lot of cool shit in the fight, they give you more money. because its about the specticle and not about fighting.
the reality is dana probably never would have signed either the of emilinkos because for them, having fights end in 5 seconds isnt good money....
so, the fighters arent trying to win as much as they are trying to get more money.
i think the diaz brothers abused this. its why thier fights were so entertaining even though they were obviously exponentially better than most of their opponents. but still got their shit kicked in.
they make more money if they make it look like they fought 3 hard rounds. as opposed to just eliminating the target 15 seconds after the bell rings.

I never watched Pride back in the day, but the UFC is sure as hell an annoying soap opera joke of an organization. They're more interested in a bunch of drama to make money off of the masses than anything else. Ultimately I don't even mind the drama thing existing(not that I'd watch it) if it weren't for the fact that they play up the childish, disrespectful aspects. It's societally toxic trash. If you act like a disrespectful child, you should be kicked out, not rewarded. Don't encourage children(both young and adult aged) to act like that.

not true. fedor disowned aleks years before that and made a public statement about why. the last straw was aleks insulting people fedor respected who he felt had helped aleks. there was a history of acrimony, w fedor considering him a drunk, lazy, a shame to the family etc etc but the split was well before kadyrov and fedor apologized to both kadyrov and putin for criticising child mma after being censured for it(unfortunate but welcome to russia). fedor plays ball with the government, plays nice w kadyrov, and keeps his mouth shut

Sure getting knocked out is one thing but getting stabbed while punching a man dead, then killing the next man with the knife he spent 30 seconds stabbing you with?
That's how I figure he always looked bored and annoyed. Also it's not beneficial to show your emotions in your face, this could be a skill he never lost after jail.
