A hare feeding its leverets.....outside my kitchen window!

- A quick wee film to show you the leverets visiting my garden this spring, being fed by their mum. Such a privilege to see something as intimate as this, and I still can't really believe this happened for five consecutive nights! Certainly made lockdown easier to bear :)
PS - It's supposed to be a silent film but I forgot to take the sound off a couple of the clips, so mind you have the sound turned down otherwise you'll get loud hissing for a few seconds ;-)

@@unicornblast8369 Not saying I like her, but generally, nowadays it is unnecessary for humans to still be eating animals or their secretions. I’d go as far in saying most people would not be as mad at her if she would be defending dogs being abused and slaughtered for meat. Dogs are our pets, however in truth they are no more worthy or intelligent, and no more capable of feeling pain and love than the animals we eat. You’ll probably yell at me now and call me a filthy vegan who’s shoving my views down your throat, but I just wanted to say this anyways.
Yet, humans are driving them to extinction..

hare is like a fusion of bunny and deer... they have a spooky and pretty face
They are a true symbol of persistence to survive. Hares are surrounded by danger, but pursue against death
The meat is also like a combination between bunny and deer as well. Bunnies and hares are very different even just in the muscle.

It’s an awful LOT special!! How wonderful! And Thankyou for sharing...I’m almost 70, live in the country and have only ever seen Hares crouch down in tractor ruts on fields...never with babies or feeding them... that’s wonderful, your so lucky!! I have one bucket list wish which is to see Hares boxing, but havnt managed that yet either, so well done.....👏🏻👏🏻 maybe one of these will remember this sanctuary and bring their own babies to leave under your watchful eye in the not too distant future! 🙋♀️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💐
Even though we have a few hares around here, I rarely see them boxing. Like you say, it's a rare thing to glimpse even if you live in the country.
I love Hares, they are rarely seen here in UK these days, I caught sight of one bounding across the field near the village and it was amazing to watch.
nothing gets me like the cuteness of baby hares, almost couldn't watch :')

Great video! I love to watch nature in my own yard. I used to put out food for the squirrels until the neighborhood became overpopulated with them. But once, I had a rabbit, a crow, a squirrel, a pair of mallard ducks, cardinals and bluejays in the backyard all at once. I really got a big kick out of it!

A rabbit's baby is called a kitten, and here I learned that a baby hare is a leveret. They are both lagomorphs but different species.
