Difference Between Analog and Digital Signal

The video starts with an explanation of the term signal. A signal is a piece of information converted into an electric form for transmission. Signals are basically of two types analog signals and digital signals.

Good explanation; however, i googled why analog signals face distortion. And I found that both analog and digital signal can be distorted by noise.
