The cooking style, techniques and efficiency of every Indian mom and villagers especially, is worth an applause. Even our grandmother are expert and smooth in cooking difficult recipes, that too in fuelwood, clay cooking areas, etc which is itself so difficult to do unlike cooking on stove. And it was purely a bliss to watch them doing these. And not forgetting, cooking through traditional methods always brings out the best flavours of the dish. I miss those days 🥺🥺.

Rick that method of loosening the layers like that also exists in the Caribbean. There we call it clapping roti, the idea is that it separates the layers and makes almost like a croissant. Super buttery and flaky. Don’t know if you’ve had it before, if you haven’t, do it ASAP. No rice needed Korbin

In Kerala it is called 'porotta' not 'parotta'. Kerala porotta and beef curry🤤it's not a food it's an emotion for us mallus😍✨
In TN I have seen this being spelt as 'Barrota' also.
But Kerala Malabar Borota it is similar like chappati.. It is no where near to street side parottas of Tamil nadu.. To be honest.. Keralas food culture is worst among south india

@@sonatoluis9714 i stayed in Kerala for 3 years. I struggle a lot because of their food culture. Parotta which I get in TN is completely contrast in Kerala. To be honest i never enjoyed food in Kerala. It is overhyped and offers nothings. Fish frys are either not cooked well or burnt.. Kerala food is not my cup of tea. Many TN people agree with my point

Curry in Tamil means meat.. They made "aatu kari kozhambu" Means "Mutton Meat Gravy"

Roti canai is so different and sucks (at least from Australian Malay hotels called papa rich)…perhaps in Malaysia it is good like how authentic Indian is only in india and overseas it’s all not so fresh always

@@tintuu6546 the roti canai idea menu was brought from indian muslim brotherhood from India. For livelihood they open great 24 hours restaurants and became the real problem.. as their age catch up many retired but some Malay copycats learned their trick and claim they are the real masters without shame.

Paratha and parotta are two different items. Except Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Kerala, other States people normally prefer Paratha. Tamil Nadu people mostly prefer this one and one more type of parotta namely bun parotta.
