    Thanks for this! I hit level 74 with my necro and feel like my build is falling apart trying to do the second monolith! I think part of my issue is the gear. Hoping your new loot filters and leveling these skills up over the weekend will give me a huge lift up! Appreciate the video and guide!

    Really though, does the Roid Mage go too fast - can that be possible...? Naaah

    What would you say is more damage 80 mana or 12 int for this build? I'm assuming the int?

    • @Vision_GL
      @Vision_GL  Před 5 měsíci +1

      80 mana would give (15% MORE Damage + 4 Flat Minion Damage), 12 Int would give (12% MORE Damage + 48% Increased Damage) BUT, also the Int gives 48% Ward Retention too.
      The Mana would be more damage overall, the Int would give a good amount of player Survivability (the ward retention is really nice) also some Minion HP (5 flat per point).
      The Int is the all around better stat, but if you feel defensive enough as the player, and your Mage isn't dying too quickly, Mana would put out more damage.

  • @demo7421
    @demo7421 Před 5 měsíci +1

    Why does the build focus so much on mana and mana regen if we barely use any mana?

    • @Vision_GL
      @Vision_GL  Před 5 měsíci +1

      It gives your Mage damage scaling - More Damage based on Max Mana from Skeletal Mage Tree, and Flat Damage for Minions in Chaos Bolts tree via Revolution node. These are efficient ways to scale your damage, and otherwise rare stats - we get them with Mana. The mana regen is baked into the Mana Prefix, other Mana Regen comes with Int, which also scales damage. The regen itself isn't bad to have, because it helps you recover a bit when you are Chaos Bolting to stack debuffs on a single target.

    • @demo7421
      @demo7421 Před 5 měsíci +1

      @@Vision_GL Ahh that makes so much sense I forgot about those nodes. Thanks alot, been playing the build and at lvl 92 right now, loving it

      @@Vision_GL Another quick question: Thoughts on using chronostasis for more ward? I guess you'd want to slam it with flat minion spell damage?

    • @Vision_GL
      @Vision_GL  Před 5 měsíci

      Personally, I think Chronostasis is a bit gimmicky and inefficient - for starters, you can only get ONE of the Minion Spell suffixes (Minion Melee and Spell), so you lose out on another full suffix of Flat Damage which is the best possible stat you could get for damage scaling.
      Second, if you want to run a Sword and miss out on that flat damage anyway, why not run Apogee of Frozen Light - it would give your Mage +3 Levels which you could use to pick up Frenzy or more Cast Speed from the tree. You also get 14-24% MORE Cold Damage to Chilled Enemies for your Mage.
      You trade all of these options for a 50-80 WPS roll, and 6-10 Int, only useful stats for you on a Chronostasis. You could argue the Ward is nice, but I wouldn't trade it for the flat damage, especially not on a build where the player has the freedom to run around and do mechanics while the minion fights.

    why ribbons of blood ring? because of minions cannot be crited? leech is not working here right?

    • @Vision_GL
      @Vision_GL  Před 5 měsíci +1

      1. Crit Avoidance for the Mage, 2. Leech Rate, which it does Leech from Necro Passives, 3. % Increased Health, very good stat you can't usually get on rings, 4. Easy to Target Farm for LP, so you can add stats. It's a really nice item

      @@Vision_GL tbh i leveled roid up to 100 on beta and i was kinda familiar with the build but i never used the ring. played around 350 corr and it was smooth. i got all the items i wanted after release and i tried roid again but dmg was sooo bad and after i droped wraithlord's harbour i stoped playing completely. your video showed me things/items i could replace and i'll try it one more time. i just need good weapon and i'm set. thanks

    • @Vision_GL
      @Vision_GL  Před 5 měsíci

      The weapon is huge, such a big source of damage now with all that flat damage and pen and mana

      @@Vision_GL so quick summary. i got lucky with Julra and got 15 int on boots, 15 int on a ring, shred and minion life on a amulet and 11 int on a chest and decided to put things together. but mage was dying sooo fast with like 430% inc life. i had to take out amulet and make another belt and now sitting at 777% inc minion life gaming is way better. atm i have 117 int. runing 400+ corr with no problem and mage not dying from dread shade and infernal shade. i need better weapon and maybe if i ever get lucky and find Chronostasis 2lp+ i could slam on it

      I found the issue, DO NOT have spell damage anywhere on ur gear, it increase ur infernal shade dmg = ur minion die faster

      Use the Reach of the Grave Wand and throw minion spell damage on it

    • @md.mamunurrashid7894
      @md.mamunurrashid7894 Před 4 měsíci

      Yeah ..for me too, it has insane damage but if you are not hitting for a couple of seconds, it just dies and the worst situation is that you just used deadshred on it so it is on cooldown now. You can not even look at your loot drop because it will die in the meantime. Anyway, until there is some solution I am using wraith skills for now by summoning 2 wraiths with necrotic melee damage. Doing OK for now. Let me know guys if you have any better suggetions. BTW Reach of the Grave Wand is still not a good solution

    • @Vision_GL
      @Vision_GL  Před měsícem +1

      Nope, even better now. I updated the guide on Maxroll with some new tech using Apogee, and we get more health scaling on the mage per Int and Player Level, so it's even more comfy

    That’s cool but your character is just walking around in circles as your minion is killing everything. That is not very fun
