There are going to be a good amount of characters who unfortunately will not become playable characters in Smash.
But it's still interesting to think about what kind of move sets these characters can have if they were playable, so that's why I'm here today.

Because I know a lot of people are gonna bring this up. No, I don't think Jetstream Sam would work as a good Echo Fighter to Raiden. Jack's a Ninja, Sam's a Samurai. They have the same kind of sword, but that's the only similarity they share, they have drastically different fighting styles.
Sam's better off getting his own moveset if enough people request for him.

@@teamspirit8727 you know, an unironically cool gimmick could be to give super armor when the Senator isnt moving and then performs powerful counter moves once the armor is triggered. This can add immense mind gaming potential, as the Senator dropping a combo can be a guise to have you hit him only to have him put you in a new string.

His Boxing Ring Title could be "Jack the Ripper", "Mr. Lightning Bolt", or "Saucy Jack".
His Stage has to be the Shabhazabad Air Base. (If that name doesn't ring a bell, it's where he fights Armstrong)
It's amazing that this turned out so similar to his PS All-Stars moveset. It shows that both you and the PS All-Stars devs really respected the source material and drew from his actual moves
Raiden was one of the best designed characters in that game. Any moveset in smash would likely be identical to the allstars one

@@jackflynn412 there's a Raiden PSA over Meta Knight but uses Gray Fox. If you know how to rig you can put the Raiden's model over it for a true playable Raiden.

I really like the move set you came up with for Raiden. However, I was sort of hoping that the Unique Weapons would be incorporated I some way, but I don't believe he technically 'canonically' uses them so it's not a huge deal. Though one thing that feels like a really missed opportunity is not using the Desperado design you unlock after beating Sundowner, probably in place of the 'red armor', or the inferno armor since all 3 mentioned designs are (technically) red

L'etranger, Dystopia and Bloodlust would all be so cool to use for Raiden. I mean no disrespect to the Murasama or HF Blade, but they're so different and fun to use
Mistral's weapon could've been the down smash, Monsoon's could've been the grab and Sundowner's could've been the upsmash
Well I'm just glad that Raiden got his chance to shine in the "What If..." Series. The moveset definitely feels like something I could try and see if I want to main it or pass on it.

Anyway, nice moveset concept
I really like this moveset, but I would have made his 3 other specials outside of his Neutral Special the unique weapons you can get from the 3 Winds of Destruction, those being Mistral, Monsoon, and Sundowner.
For his side special he could use Sundowner's Bloodlust, a pair of large HF blades put together to be used as a giant pair of shears. With them Raiden performs a slow but powerful combo string like the original game. Also like the original game, Bloodlust's attacks have absolute priority and give Raiden super armor while swinging. It also deals some means damage to shields.
However holding the button down allows Raiden to charge the move and upon release will perform an even more powerful version of attack while still having super armor with some additional damage resistance, as well as being able to easily rip through shields like paper. Basically making you nigh "f*cking invincible", but only when executing the attack part, you are still vulnerable during the charge up time and do suffer from some bad end lag after the attack.
You can also perform this in the air for a powerful side spin attack while charging before rocketing towards the ground, just doing the regular version has the same results. Pretty risky off stage but otherwise a great move overall.
Next his Up Special could use Monsoon's Dystopia, one of two magnetic Sais. This functions pretty much like a grappling hook with light offensive capabilities.
Just pressing the button has Raiden throw the Sai forwards with a blue magnetic beam connected to his hand. It will automatically aim for a ledge or opponent in Raiden's line of sight. If it hits an opponent it only deals light flinching damage from a long range and just simply grapples the ledges like any other grapple.
Holding down the button will let Raiden rush towards the connected target with a kick and will either grab the ledge or do a light kick to the opponent and put you into a mid air state as you are free to use any of your aerial attacks to continue the combo. However, you are unable to use the Up Special again until Raiden lands back on solid ground.
The enemy is able to still move during the attack when connected to them and can easily shield the oncoming kick. However if you use Dystopia and don't use it again or take damage for a few seconds, you get a small purple electrical version that will stun an enemy for a few seconds if it connects.
Finally is the Down Special, leaving Mistral's L'Etranger. A pole arm/whip combo made out of Dwarf Gekko arms with the ends holding blades. This functions similarly to the Bloodlust Side Special where it's effectively a different combo, with Raiden alternating between using it as a polearm and a whip automatically.
Each individual hit is relatively weak and low damage, but the weapon's range is deceptively long and can dish out some serious pain with its combo game and is good for keeping multiple enemies in check.
So in order to basically summarize the purpose of each special here.
Side Special (Bloodlust): Slow but powerful combo that can also break an opponent's guard easier that can also be charged for a risky but powerful attack even mid Bloodlust combo and will absolutely shatter shields.
Up Special (Dystopia): Standard grappling special that is also meant for closing the distance between him and his opponent, making it a dangerously effective tool against zoners, as well as being a weak semi-decent long range attack.
Down Special (L'Etranger): Great for combos and being able to keep multiple foes in check if used right despite its low damage.
I was watching the new Pokemon Scarlet & Violet trailers and thought what if Ceruledge was playable in Smash or Pokemon Unite (after the game gets released)
What can I say, it has a sick design
I think waiting for the games to come out and seeing it’s general moveset first makes more sense.

This time, Raiden has 16 moves that are also in PSASBR (Single Hand Cut, (Air) Launcher, Jumping/Spinning Roll Cut, Midair Slice, High Kick Cut, Flurry Kick, (Air) Rolling Thunder, Sweep Kick, Slam Slice, (Air) Parry, Draw Attack, and Blade Mode); that’s a new record!
Since the last 3 were silver haired swordsman, I’m gonna take a wild guess and say Vergil is next.

Personally, I'd imagine Raiden using the weapons from the three Winds for his side, up, and down specials. Using Dystpoia to grapple towards foes, the pole-arm to do a sweeping spin attack, and Bloodlust to do a spinning attack in the air before slammimg down

I wouldn’t put too much stock in BJ hearting your comment. He hearts any incorrect “prediction” comments as requests, to let the commenter know their request has been seen. Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s Raiden too, but BJ hearting your comment is not concrete proof of anything.

2 things i want to add to this kit:
Holding Taunt then pressing Up, Up, Down will Initiate a Codex Conversation with Doktor.
if we could in the attacks and Final Smash, add lines of Electricity over the character to symbolized getting slashed, (red in Final Smash).
Also, a Strange one but, i wanna Nominate Edward Richtofen from Call of Duty: Zombies, for Not Moveset 114, but for the one after it 115.
You might want to push the number a bit back, BJ has characters 114 through 120 planned out already.

I would like to see the Warrior from Miitopia in Smash! I feel like they would have a lot of moveset potential and they could even be customizable, but the difference is you can have all the accessories and adjusts from Miitopia, which I think would be cool.
Thanks a lot for this, I've been not doing so great lately, and a character as campy as Raiden was nice and relaxing to watch you make a moveset for (despite the obvious bloodiness of it all)
19:53 it’s not ridiculous it’s cool, battle effective and lethal to anyone who crosses its path
I think the counter would work well if instead of being like Sora's, any projectiles that get hit by the counter get sliced up and erased, even energy ones just so it's consistent.
My only complain is that I wanted to see the extra weapons (staff, sai and scissors) in the moveset, but oh well, it's still good
I can imagine Snake's CODEC conversations with Raiden
The fact that Raiden is immune to projectiles in front when running makes me imagine playing as him up against the likes of Samus, Mega Man, or any character with multiple projectiles 😈
It’s a similar thing with Spongebob’s patties actually, if somebody is fighting Raiden, they’ll know he’s immune to projectiles when he’s running, so they can plan their approach around that.
I imagine Raiden being only immune to "lesser" projectiles. Even though you can slice bullets mid-air, a tank shell is still a tank shell and it's gonna explode.

I'm pretty sure most modern explosives won't actually work unless they are detonated properly, you could put C4 on a nuke and it wouldn't go off, you'd probably just disable the nuke, I'm pretty sure tank shells would not blow up if cut first, also Raiden can parry RPGs just fine so...

I never said that's how you would disable a nuke, just that it could work.
When I said parry, I meant *parry* not ninja run, although sometimes parrying doesn't work, for RPGs and Missiles, you usually use Blade Mode to cut them, although if you're busy parrying another attack, RPGs don't seem to hurt you at all.
Heavy shells, you can just straight up parry lol.

Well, there is no bigger memes I can think of either than that one chair that is the storm approaching, or literally everything that Senator Armstrong says in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, so there’s a decently high chance it’s the Senator.

When I got notified, when it said “This meme”, I thought you were covering a character that is mostly memed upon. I've never seen a Raiden meme to even get it. I'd probably make Tiny "Shrinking" into swapping between her two designs, but that's because I wouldn't be able to pick between them...
I'd love to see Lanky Kong.
Especially with his stretchy arms, inflatable body and music attacks.
I would personally implement some of the attacks Raiden can use when equipped with the unlockable weapons from the various bosses on MGR. Like having the Mistral's pole arm as his down smash or Sundowner's High Frequency Scissors dual machetes as his forward smash for example. Other than that this is a refreshingly simple character design.

Since I already suggested Ghostrunner, a sword-slinging robot in the wake of 2B, I'll stick to one idea on this vid: in the vein of soldiers remade as weapons, how about Nathan "Rad" Spencer, from Bionic Commando? Aside from simply sharing his first name, I've always loved big, bulky robotic arms on humans, and he'd be hella mobile.

Strider (Strider series) could be a cool moveset with the ninja skills and technology. Plus he was in marvel verus capcom so you have a descent amount of stuff to work with.
The Primids (Brawls Subspace emissary) The most famous enemy for the subspace emissary could be a cool cahracter to see in smash as a big referance to brawls subspace emissary. Plus he was built with smash's mechanics in mind so it would be pretty easy to make a move set for him.
Spark (Spark The Electric Jester series) Could be similar to sonic with his speed but be more about using a variety of electric attacks to combo with. Maybe you could use some of the jester powers like mage, knight, and Edgy in the move set too.

I don't know why it took me so long to see this, this was my most anticipated character for one of these videos lol
Very interesting, personally I would make two changes to his final smash. The first would be having him laugh maniacally throughout the final smash and at the end of the attack, he shouts something like "don't be ashamed, it's only nature running it's course" to taunt the player, or if the attack ends the match he shouts "we're done here".
The second thing I'd change is add a gimmick to his final smash where the higher the damage Raiden has taken the stronger his final smash, (going up to either 100 or 150% for the max damage bonus) allowing him to truly embrace the power he gets from pain.

Hot take: the last character should've been Raiden. If Ultimate really is the end for Smash, what better way to close it out by having the last guest character be the successor to the first guest character to ever appear in Smash? And besides, it's a sin that we didn't get ANY MGR content in Ultimate besides Raiden's spirit, which doesn't even refer to him as being from Revengeance. Also I think you should've worked the Unique Weapons somewhere into this moveset. Also instead of the inferno suit, I'd give him the Desperado armor with the Murasama, and instead of Commando, I'd give him his MGS2 getup with the original HF Blade.
I know you don’t normally take move suggestions but I don’t really want to keep this idea to myself.
An idea I had for Classic Sonic to make him different from Modern Sonic was to have his down special make him jump on a monitor giving him one of the elemental shields from Sonic 3 & Knuckles. The water shield would reflect smaller projectiles. The thunder shield gives him an extra jump and has a chance to bring items closer to him. And finally the fire shield would allow him to deal small bits of damage by running into the opponent his dash attack would also slightly deal more damage.

Raiden's final smash should involve the player pressing Attack to dish out hits. It would also matter what direction the blade swings. Geometrically, his attacks in rising use both hitboxes to check for collision and a 2D plane where Raiden swings to determine the direction (and the game uses the same plane to slice a 3D model in two). While he can't cut fighters, he could still mince projectiles, crates, some items, and specifically Villager's trees and Steve's blocks.
also thought about maybe someone in the Bug Fables trio, or Gordon Freeman from Half-Life. Though Half-Life's gameplay as a classic FPS is relatively hard to translate to Smash, at the very least the Gravity Gun would be a fun item.
I think his Final Smash should be where he goes in front of the screen like Snake and then goes into blade mode with the robot arm from the metal gear bossfight before the Armstrong fight.
But if Smash wasn't for kids. It would be Revengeance Status.

Raiden was one of my picks for characters to be in smash, sadly he wasn't included. Now, I would change some ideas:
- Side B to Sundowner's blade pincer, hold B to charge
- Up B to use Mistral's L'Étranger similar to Byleth up B
- Change the grab to Monsoon's Dystopia for range grabs similar to Samus.
- The Down B I would add to the parry the ability to do continuous parries if the one before it connects (similar to how you can spam it in game, it can help to parry attacks that do multiple hits or from multiple directions. The cooldown gets longer if the parry fails after multiple connects).
- The ninja run sounds a tad OP so maybe just do lower damage to raiden for small proyectiles, for bigger ones either parrying or blade mode could destroy/deflect them.
Regardless this is an amazing video. Hopefully either we see Raiden in a future entry or see modders use this as a reference.

In the midst of the World Of Light, a small group of fighters are being overwhelmed quickly by the Master Hands. Snake, among these fighters, is currently fending off enemies whilst in a Codec call. Though we can't hear who's on the other end, Snake's satisfied smile tells the viewer that things will be fine.
Another character, perhaps Marth or Fox, claims that they're outnumbered and outgunned. To this, Snake responds that they just need to buy some time for the reinforcement. As he says this, a familiar jet flies towards the chaos. Cut to a Master Hand, preparing to fire a massive beam at the fighters. But before it can, the all-too familiar music starts playing.
*"RULES OF NATURE!"*
The Master Hand is cleaved in two, much alike Metal Gear Ray. Raiden lands, already cleaving through the opponents. Snake looks him in the eye, and the two share a smirk.
"You sure kept us waiting, Jack."
Considering that this will air on Cirno Day, I really hope it's Cirno.

Crazy idea: what is BOYFRIEND from FNF was in smash: (note, this is work in progress)
He will be below averge, have 2 jumps and no additional movement options. (His dodges will be same dodges of indie cross. I'll use it a lot in the moveset)
The A attacks
He will have 3 hit jab. First one hand, then the one who held his mic and then he will kick. For dash attack, he'll do a quick mic spin when he stop. His side tilt will bs the same mic attack he have in the indie cross when he battled the butcher gang. Up tilt will be swing his mic from left to right. Down tilt will be however, quick stomp. For his side smashes, he'll throw the microphone in same manner of when he battled cuphead in indie cross. Same for up smash. For down he'll spin as the mic surround him. For netrual ariel, it'll be like the down smash. And all the rest of the ariel will be sending one arrow projectile to the chosen direction. Each one in other color. Forward, red. Backward, purple. Upward, green. Downward, cyan.(I know most of the attacks are with mic. Soon the interesting part will come)
The grabs
Boyfriend will grab with his mic and will rap the foe onto tears. This make him able to reach ledges. For all throw beside down, he'll once again will summon his notes to throw them away. For down throw, he'll call for his girlfriend and her speakers to smash the foe, burying them.
The B attacks
Ok let's try ti get creative here. Now we will try to borrow some of his friends and some mods as well. For the netrual special, he'll use in pico's gun for a very similair effect like wolf's gun. But slightly stronger and slower, since it isn't laser but bullet. For his side special, he'll spit one arrow and will ride it into far distance before it stop and he must jump off of it. For his up special, it'll be throwing his mic up to mostly hold onto ledges. For his down special, he will increase his power and damage percent by becoming SUPER SAIYAN as we saw him doing it in sonic.exe mod in the song chaos. That boost will be temporary and when it's over his power will be normal. That super saiyan boost is slow to charge but very strong and will increase his movements greatly. Now, i saw his abillities maybe not fair because he mostly use in his mic and sometimes arrows, but he is a rapper, not a fighter. I had to try come up with some ideas from other mods and his friends. And remember, boyfriend loves to rap battle strangers, no matter how much it can annoy them.
The final smash
For this one, i'll call it "sonic vocal". Causing boyfriend shouting powerful and huge rainbow colored sonic wave that will push every poor foe away. If the foe have more damage percent, the further they'll go.
The other stuff
Boyfriend colors will first be his default, then colors of hid girlfriend, then of other characters from friday night funking: daddy dearest, skid and pump, pico, mommy must murder and tankman (don't ask me about senpai. He is jerk in my book) for stage intro, he'll appear in same mysterious red light we saw at indie cross. For taunts, the first one will be his iconic "peace" sign, the second can be smug face we can see at fnaf 1 mod as he also raise his mic, taunting others to sing with him, and lastly (spooky one) will be his eyes turns to red like chara's eyes and he will smile like her as he look at the screen. Before he shake his head and return to normal. This is also a refrence from indie cross when you decide to fight sans and not spare him. For victory animation, the first can be him doing the peace sign and his girlfriend next to him on the speakers. The second can be him rapping and moving in high speed, like most of fnf mods, and last one will be him disappearing in exact same manner of apperaing. And fun detail, when he lose, he won't clap. He'll look like his is blueballed. (But the balls won't appear because smash is game safe for everyone and balls can bs rude).
And that is my crazy idea if boyfriend was in smash. What ya'll think? Feel free to say feedback!
