David Hurn Discusses his Donation to the MPF Collection

David Hurn talks with Martin Parr about donating a significant part of his archive to the Martin Parr Foundation collection.
The gifted works include vintage press prints, exhibition prints, book layouts, and a complete set of David Hurn photographs made in Wales. This material joins a number of other David Hurn prints already housed at the Foundation.

I feel honoured to have met David at the Foundation and hear him speak on a number of occasions. He is a wonderful man, who, though his photography, has seen so much of life and has recorded it beautifully, and with compassion when needed, as in the Aberfan pictures. It is quite wonderful that he has made this donation to the Martin Parr Foundation. I look forward to the next opportunity to visit and see his work.
