Very talented young soloist. Maxim seems to have a lot of fun in this one as well

Maxim is a very good teacher, she improved a lot her sound in just one lesson

Crazy how I can actually understand these master classes Vengerov leads in German. I do get some help from the transcript, but just amazing how clearly he expresses beyond the language. It's as if a language barrier has lifted. Magic!

Wonderful playing young lady especially under the keen ears and eyes of a great virtuoso! Bravo!🙏🏻

Wow ! She's fantastic . Her ends of bows show real musicality and her phrasing in general . Ive never cared for this concerto - but tonight this young woman made better music out of it than it has ever seemed (the gorgeous 2nd theme notwitstanding if only we could have gotten better [ piano concerti (Firkusny Richter!!!played it ]to requote Schnabel i. It impressed here the way she gave it to us . Nothing will ever attain the stature of the cello concerto ! But maybe she and Vengerov will teach me how to listen to it . It succeeds better here as a piano and violin sonata .Oh dear the russian is speaking German in Salzburg I no know macht deutsche spreche .

Is there any way to have English captions? Such a treasure to have these masterclasses. Thank you.

turn the transcript on, add google translate to translate the page. Honestly, the translation is fairly poor, but if you know a bit of German, Vangerov speaks rather slowly and clearly, so between the hearing, and the seeing and the reading, it's really clear what he's saying.

Spielt der Pianist auch Dvorak? Wäre nicht schlecht die Noten vom Herrn Dvorak zu treffen

To me the pianist seems perfect, on piano some (bass) notes are clearer than with orchestra.

Can someone tell me how hard this concerto is to learn from the Technical thing?
And wich Concerto is maybe on the same level?

      @@ChiefHerzensCoach I think Sibelius is harder .. I would say Saint-Saens concerto nr. 3

It is really unconfortable, the only reason why I would not consider it as harder than Tchaikovsky is because Tchaikovsky feels longer.
