- I completely revamped my pre-built PC because it was driving me crazy with how noisy the fans suddenly became; the CPU was overheating and the whole system was randomly crashing. I drove 80 miles to a Microcenter twice to try to get it serviced under the warranty but nothing helped so, I finally took matters into my own hands (and voided the warranty in the process) 🙂
Stuff mentioned:
Hot and loud PC (but a good deal when on sale): ASUS Rog Strix G10CE
Case: Corsair 4000X
CPU Cooler: ID Cooling IS-67-XT
CPU fan (for higher pressure): Corsair SP120
Back fan (for higher volume airflow): Corsair AF120

Awesome editing! I have a feeling your channel is going to blow up.
Good Job! love watching PC builds, especially new builders
Thoroughly enjoyed this video! I hope you decide to build a brand new one and film it! Your bf actually knew a lot in the shopping trip to Microcenter. He has to be a good resource!
gracias for the content; sweet build; i am sure you will be adding some of your flair to the case; can not wait to see peace
I really was in need for this video your explaining was too good thanks a lot! keep going dear sister
Thanks a lot 😊
just saw this on my algorithm and i didn't regret watching it. I enjoyed watching the video and once you start you cannot stop anymore XD. Goodluck doing tech stuff!
Thank you! Haha indeed I am literally going to Microcenter for no reason nowadays
@@catcertino HAHHAAAH yeah i feel you, i just like window shopping in microcenter and thinking what would be my next build will look like
I have the same pc, and i was thinking of doing the same thing, the algorithm really read my mind
I always feel intimidated to fix thiungs on my pc but u give me hope thanks alot
Amazing job with the video, you might want to look into undervolting your cpu in the bios by a little bit, some of these prebuild pcs have shotty overclocking jobs done before hand and some lower end motherboards try to overclock your cpu right out of the box, you got the airflow. Loved the video and hope your cool pc stays cool
I am a fan, keep going... love your content
Thank you!
I love that u are learning by doin. Dont be affraid of doing wrong since its all about learning. Its perfect also to learn on a pre built since the parts are not as expensive as many custom builds. U should have used cable mods/sleeves. And a better cpu cooler yes the low profile schyte is still wrong cooler for that case. U want to go tower cooler or a 240mm AIO.
Nice wholesome video. The 4000X is a good looking case. I have mine in the living room turned sideways so I can watch the RGB and go online at the same time. Right now i have six SP120 RGB fans and four Vengeance ram sticks. They look really nice once they're all synced up together.
The Corsair 4000D is such an awesome case! just did the same swap to one aswell. Here's to better airflow!!!!
you should try cable managment and probably buy a better PSU with atleast a 80bronze rating
I measured the power my pc was drawing and 500W is more than enough?
Cable management yes 😂
@catcertino I imagine this comment was moreso about the rating of the PSU, so the 80bronze or higher not the wattage
Great video. Congrats!
Cute little Video , i hope u get fast many followers :D , hope u will continue updates some of your pc more and more over time and let us watch it.
Thanks! Will definitely continue working on my pc haha
glad to hear ^^ , i build my pc allways up and up , i buyed new mainboard , new powerstation and new gpu and july , i will switch to a new case and water cooling , because for me is still to hot , and i pref a more silent system

Congrats! Love the editing and PC swap. You did great! I should really do these videos like this, too, but I need to get used to making videos that look so well done, like yours. 😄
I'm also an IT Computer Support Specialist, so if you have any questions or need help with anything, just let me know! 👍
Thank you so much!!
looks good its a really good looking fowerd to more content :)
I watched one of your other videos so this popped up, cpu cooling fans I always look to see what the CFM is on them, a decent one will list how much air it moves and the cheap ones won't list anything. Also how much wattage they will cool, you may have learned all this by now, just cause it looks cool doesn't me it will cool good. I prefer air cooling and the reason on that is a buddy of mine like a lot of us turned his PC on leaves it on almost all day but his liquid cooler made such a mess inside the case, (even after cleaning it still was a mess) I stick to air cooling. 62 CFM is where I like to see my cpu cooler at and if its a quality fan you won't even hear it and that extra $10 to $20 spent makes a huge difference. I Enjoy the content, videos like this help out a lot of people as they start their pc building journey.
appreciate the comment! thanks for watching :)
A modular PSU with white cables would look so good for your PC, if that's a bit too expensive, just get sleeves.
Also put some fans sucking air in from the bottom to reduce the emptiness that's caused by you having a micro ATX motherboard on a full ATX case.
And if you don't care about warranties, you could paint your GPU white.
see your trying hard in video, and many real sharings, must have a like
Could have picked a smaller case that fits mATX motherboards but that's alright. If it was me, I may find more ways to attach two more fans on top of the case (and maybe up to two more above the PSU shroud at the bottom, would need a Molex splitter or SATA-to-Molex splitter cable or something) but the changes Cindeeeeee made were good.
Great video!! Also by the way I got confused about the stand off screws and just in case where would you get them?
Thanks! The standoff screws typically come with the case
I like Mustard and Ketchup cables
First of all I congratulate you for working in your own setup, but remember there's always room for improvement. Having said so I like you to allow me to make you some recommendations; like previous comments just said, improve the certification on your power supply to at least Bronze, thats the minimum rating certification for budget pc imo. The certification is independent of the wattage of your psu, there may be 500W psu of all certifications,of course theres psu with just the 80+, but you want to look for the bronze, silver or gold those are your cheaper options, platinum and titanium are way to overkill for this particular setup, the higher the rating the better the efficiency of the psu will be, leaving aside that, if your plan is to upgrade the components in the future think in a higher wattage psu, like i previously said, theres always room for improvement.
i know this is a old vid, but i also swapped my dell prebuilt to a new case. the motherboard is so old it didnt have anything to plug in power buttons or led or anything like that. i had to take out the power button from my dell and but a hole in my new case for the powerbutton to hang from the side and get a new adapter for the fans. took a lot of work but my pc looks so much cooler now
nice! sounds like it was worth it
I think the 80° maybe has something to do with the cpu fan
11th gen i7 can get pretty hot, might be a good idea to get a beefier cooler. Ak620 is cheap, better than the one you have on and comes in white. It also helps to repaste once in a while.
A better psu is more important though. It is the one component you don’t want to cheap out on since if it goes poof it takes everything else with it 💀
you should look into ITX builds! I think it would suit you so much more haha.
my next one for sure :)
you did it I just saw the video!!
Also I do have a question the cables on the top right of 2:59 in the video did you get rid of them when you case swap or plug them in somewhere?
most of those were attached to the case itself (power button, front panel USB port, etc.) so yes I "got rid of them" because the new case comes with its own set of front panel cables
Have the same build but the ryzen 7 did you have to add a fan control hub? Because I noticed on my mother board there is only one fan connection
I did get a fan splitter to plug in all the fans
i want the case so badly
I am a little late but something that I reccomend is that you change the CPU cooler. Your CPU is quite powerful and that little cooler is probably having trouble cooling it. I reccomend any tower cooler off of Amazon that costs $20-$30 and change it. It will make your computer last much longer and you will probably see a performance increase because of less thermal throttling. Installing teh new cooler can be done in 10-15 minutes and the process is quite straight forward and there are plenty of CZcams videos out there to help
I’m the 115 subscriber 🎉😂
Awesome video, Cindy! Still looks complicated to me XD I'm a fake engineer haha
Thanks Amy :D
Thank you for doing this video because I have the EXACT same issues, and did the EXACT same thing you did with going to microcenter. 😅 I’m buying a case tonight, and I hope that this is the answer to our problems 🥹
Good luck!! hope if works out :)
cable management requried btw nice video
I got the same stock pre-built and cannot find where to plug in the power and all those little wires for USB, led ect on the mother board. And all the rgb headers are there but no prongs. Please help fam.
I struggled with this too, so you're not alone. Since there's no manual out there for the stock motherboard, I looked online for manuals of similar ASUS motherboards and made some educated guesses and it worked out.
@catcertino 😆, same exact thing you said in the video. But where did plug it all in at. Video is edited to much to even pause to see how you did it. If you can make a short video, it would help me and hundreds of other people out there.
👍👍❤
I have the same prebuilt i was looking all over youtube for tutorial, because i was scared if i swap case i would ruin it
I had those exact fears before I did this haha . . . computer's still working so I guess it's been fine :D
Kewl!
I guess that's only the beginning. Once you start, you simply can't stop working on it all by yourself...at least this goes for me.
Edit: If you put a little bit more effort in the cable managmet it would look even cleaner
Great upgrade. Im the same way, ill put the most minimum free shit first and if im not satisfied i go crazy and buy the ones i want even if its overkill. Its never enough so the addiction grows. Lol
Case swaps for better thermals and airflow, proceeds to get the 4000X instead of 4000D "Airflow". Beaut case though. 👌 Cable management is my favourite part and didnt get to watch.
Lol i will continue to work on my pc and hopefully show off better cable management next time!!
legit have this build different specs, the heating issues are huge and have been thinking of doing this but am WAY too afraid. would you advise?
If you have the budget / time, upgrade your case and fans! It's a fun DIY project and you'll learn a lot. There's plenty of CZcams tutorials out there to help
@@catcertino was there a hard drive in your system or just a ssd?
@@theycallmecorpse just an SSD
@@catcertinoDOING THE SWAP AS WE SPEAK! how do you get that damned io shield out the mobo is holding onto it for dear life
@@theycallmecorpse I didn't take the IO shield off of the motherboard . . .the IO shield should come out from the case still attached to the motherboard in one piece. It took a lot of finagling to get it out though, would recommend pushing the IO shield inwards from the outside of the case.
A few things : 1, this cooler is NOWHERE near enough for such a beefy cpu. I have the exact same one in my system and i can tell you, the i7 11700k is a real fireball... i'd recommend you get at least a cooler like a bequiet dark rock. it will be a lot better than the low-profile cooler that you're using right now.
2, this power supply looks like it's gonna burn down your entire country lmao... i'd recommend you swap it for a corsair 500 watts psu just for safety or mayebe upgrade the wattage if you can to future-proof the system.
3, if possible, i'd say get some better ram as these green ram sticks won't last more than a few years. I saw so many of these die randomly that i prefer warning you about it. A good cheap ram i'd recommend you would be the corsair vengeance lpx ddr4, they are abusively cheap these days, but you can really take any ram you want there, even some with rgb on them. Also, they will probably be faster than the ram you currently have.
4, this one is optional, but if you can, try to get an pcie wifi card. it will clean up the cable mess and give you some better speed and connection thanks to better technology and antennas.
5. The best thing you can do when it comes to cable management here is just to tuck as much cable as possible behind the case so we don't see them. Since your motherboard is mini atx, it might be a bit harder to route them in a clean way, but just by trying to make as less cable as possible to appear, you can make this look a bit tidier.
note : this is just a few recommendations on things that will help your pc live longer and you to get more performance out of it. Your cpu cooler being underpowered is something that can kill your processor in the long term. same goes for the power supply. most of those oem prebuilds come with pretty bad ones to cut down price and make more profit. I'm just trying to help with the knowledge i have.
Thank you for reading this and i wish you a nice day :)
u are so cool,.........
get yerself a better psu and some white cable extensions n the rig will look amazing
I wanted white cables but my PSU isn’t modular so I can’t switch them out…. I was thinking white cables sleeves maybe?
A case with little to no airflow will cause a pc to run hot. Some companies use the cheapest cases they can get.
I have same pc
why hello my pc twin
@@catcertino hello
can you plz tell me which motherboard do you have???????
I spent forever trying to figure out which label on the motherboard was the correct one to use lol....but I think the part # is 90PF02T0-P00030

hey since you have a lot of space now . Put a liquid cooling into it. It Should Solve The Issue and its way more cool to see.

you are cool and cute
dish the PSU for something decent
Go to all that trouble and not tackle cable management. Cmon ..
lol i am sorry to have offended so many people with my lack of cable management T_T .... i will do better next time xD
@catcertino awww it's OK I guess.... it can always be done later!
