Finally a math trick I figured out after the first example. I'm like a genius!
Same
Instead of using 123456789. Use 12345679. That will give you the same digit all the way across.
A good setup! Can also be like: Oh, you want the 8? Multiply by *thinking emoji* ... 72.
Only problem is that just the 8 missing immediately seems suspicious.
@@IceMetalPunk That's why you say that you are trying to keep 7 from eating 9 so that six won't be afraid of 7.
When he said a magic square, I immediately thought of a Parker square.
Josie looks so different in this video…
Exactly what I was thinking😂
probably just new lighting in the studio
Hey Brian, this is my first time back on this channel in 10+ years. I just wanted to let you know every time I see you I associate your channel with Goldfish because when I was younger I binged watch all your vids and ate a questionable amount of it.
Thank you
I've learned this one a long time ago, but one difference: get rid of the 8! 12345679 and x times 9 is all X's no zero at all!
If you take out the 8, so - 12345679, you will get rid of that 0
Sure, but it's kind of weird if you ask them to pick a number from 1 to 9 and they can't pick 8 for some reason.
fr thought it was Bam Margera on the thumbnail, lmao
Nice to see David!
If you leave out the 8 in the original number (using 12345679) you can eliminate the 0 in the answer.
This is how we used to test out side-slung calculators for the inventory company I worked for when I was 18 (a thousand years ago). Input 12345679 and multiply it times multiples of 9.
This is also another way to present the trick. Ask them what their least favourite number between 1 and 9 is. Then tell them your least favourite number is 8 (if they say that too just say you agree, and it comes out even better). Then you put in numbers omitting 8 like this, as far as your calculator goes: 123456790.12345679012345679.... then you multiply it by nine times their number, e.g. 45, or if they said 8 then 72. You will get e.g. 8888888888.88888888
Oh I"m using this one! 👍😎👍
Do you want to get beat up by a drunk guy at the bar? Try this math trick
Thank you for the video! ☺• ♥
Nice, if you add the nine times table hand hack (using both hands, say they choose the number 4 so put the 4th finger down on your left hand and your left with a 3 on one side and a 6 on the other side so 36) anyone can do this trick and not sweat it when it comes to the maths part. 👍
Great episode and good diversity during February. He looks like my nephew and the kid like my Grand-nephew.
"I can tell by the Sadness "......Im stealin that line
Amazing 👍
Sniffing the marker is a good distraction for math tricks and your audience will get a kick out of it
David V Alex.... Pick your favorite 🤣❤️
I usually am not a fan of magic that involves math but this one is solid. I'd definitely use a calculator because I feel it would take too long, but this is a show me something cool type of effect not a everyone watch this kinda thing is what I get from it.
I love these guys. Its always a blessing to see BRIAN and JOE.
I dont know the other fellow.
Brian has the bestest laugh ever. Lol.
Cool trick.
I would do it once. Maybe 2x, but 3x could be a mistake coz the spectator could figure it out.
I Cant wait till the next video.
R.I.P THE AMAZING JOHNATHAN.
Try 80 / 81 on any calculator that rounds to the 10th decimal point
I tried this. Super cool!
Figured it out by the 3's, but had to test it for the 1. That is amazing!
It’s amazing that it works but I’m not convinced it’s that amazing as a trick.
What’s to say you haven’t just memorised 9 key numbers and just say the correct one?
Can you tell me the correct lineup in this trickdid you set in 123456789 on a calculator ?
Sorry for my english, but it will be really cool if you teach us the doomsday algorithm its seems like magic but it is just calculation
That is Jason's head, right? I can tell by the sadness.
Do it again with out the 8. 12345679*multiple of 9.
Cool math.
If you put the iPhone calculator into landscape mode it should turn it into a scientific calc and make the effect better 😉😁
The followup is something with a reveal of 0 to explain the 0 from this oddity
good trick but i still cant figure out how you can make this trick to shock people or make them react on this in any way
Figure it fast. Too easy but good trick
I originally learned it without the 8. That would just give you the digits without the 0.
- 👍 👍 🔧 -
2 min in and I can see it's multiples of 9.
It didn't work with 1. The guy substituted 9.
This was way too easy, rs. I got it at 45. :-P 9x5. 🙂
Please don't say, "Did I stutter?" I have a stutter and it's caused me a lot of Self-esteem and self worth issues. When i hear people say that, it really angers and hurts me. Words can hurt, much more than a fist.
It sucks, dude, but that's a phrase from the office. So perhaps you should learn to laugh about certain past or present traits of you?
@@Kokurorokuko It's been around longer than that. Would you say to someone, "Am I retarted?" I should learn to laugh about it? Really? I sure have a lot to laugh about. To feel judged almost on a daily basis...back in High School, I was beaten up for being different....should I laugh about that too? People making me feel worthless....maybe I should laugh about that too, huh?
@@scottreacher4620 yes, you should. It won't be better if you keep reacting to it negatively.
@@Kokurorokuko Have you ever had to live with a disability? Learning to laugh doesn't help. I've had a live time of it. You don't laugh at a disability.
@@Kokurorokuko maybe you should stop being an ass and offer some consideration?
just because its part of some tv show doesnt make it okay
there is a lot of racism in old shows - do you go spewing that about?
i dont care much about the phrase either way - but if someone directly tells you "this is hurting me, please dont say that" - then telling them in response to that that they should just be fine with that is not helping - its doing the opposite
👎
Try 12345679. Gives you all the same numbers without the 0
