    Fantastic repair! I've never seen such chonky capacitors before. You take your life into your hands working around those! Looking forward to the next video.

    I owned one of these new, back in the day!
    I seem to remember that the phono sockets were always tight when I plugged cables in. It was almost like the sockets were slightly oversized. this may be the reason why you found some broken on this unit.
    Heat wise it is a poor design - I regularly found quite literally components desoldering themselves!
    Sound-wise, paired with the M85, it sounded glorious. Regardless of how difficult the room furnishings/acoustics were, the parametric controls could fine-tune out any problems

    Thanks, mine is dropping a channel. I'll peek inside and hope I see a bad cap or something. I'm no electro hero, but motivated by the Talking Heads!

    The Glue on Transistors 149 and 150 has to go it will become conductive and short out the 4.7 resistors I can see they are covered in glue

    Monster cable go on tight then when you try to remove them the connector comes off Common issue
