You dont need acorn shot on alt cast to create a tree. Alt cast just makes sure it always create a tree regardless of where you click. You can target hero and create a tree with alt cast turned off, but if you click too close to the hero it will target and not create tree.
There is also a sound Q for ulti when its fully charged. you dont need to look at the channel number.

also worth mentioning: Your ult wind up is NOT a channel. You can use abilities AND item during it to some extend ;)
I think Speeed single handidly shapes NA meta lol, whenever I watch a video people start spamming those heroes shortly after

Yeah It sucks whenever speed releases a video because I have to see that hero until the next patch. It’s been happening for a consistent 4 months at least that I’ve been keeping track of. Also pudge was able to be picked somewhat before his video saying how good he was now I can’t get my pudge at allllll. DAMN YOU SPEED

11:18 could have thrown the blood grenade too, 50+15 a tick is so strong early-mid game. The slow is really good too but I’ve had the grenade tick people down plenty of times where I would not have gotten them otherwise. Works great with venom/corrosion if you’re melee.

You can be charging the ult first and then acorn shot and bushwack while charging to get max damage. Obviously they have to be in range already. Can also use Gleipnir while charging ult.

I really like ring of bast into tranq boots, then lens into glep. The cast range and mana from lens makes the hero feel so much better imo

I like to start with or rush blight stone, it really helps just with the normal attacks... But you lose attack and cast range with this talent, is there any HW spammer here? What is better magic build or crits? Or just go mix? Cuz you can finish deso then you get -4, and again you can buy blight stone + crit? Is that good? 6:55 so IMHO, it is better to channel ulty then cast Q+W, you can use whatever you want during channeling, that's why I like to take other talent, this one is more like core build. Again, IMHO 8:50 you should run top into trees. 9:38 see you should start channeling there, then use W or Q if needed, at least that is how I play. 10:24 I am sorry, but you are doing it wrong, especially when you have atos, Then you first Ult then you atos then W (if near the tree) so you can save Q for something else... I know you will not read this... so why do I even try to help... 10:56 when I was telling that last time you all mocked me...
PS, it is good to get shard + E-blade, then you atos start to channel utl, shard q+w then E-blade with talent, you kill most of the supports with that only. Well, be carefull with E-blade, you wanna it to finish when ur ulty hits, so you can Q mb and by that time you will have storm's.
the other facet makes u shit in laning phase. this facet makes hw insanely strong early game, and as a pos 5, being strong means that your carry can farm easier

@@monyet933 What are you saying? Its exactly the opposite. Range facet makes you way better in the lane. Speed is mistaken/contradicting himelf here. The back bounce is SO rare and so easy to avoid.
Still good to create a tree even with losing a single bounce a lot of the time, since your stun won't have one always handy and it's a little vision for you and blocks some of theirs, not a tonne but sometimes it's enough.
i've been going double wraith band against hoodwink just because that shit does so much phys damage

The hero is not crazy and has its downs as well.
Firstly the hero is so good it barely ever pasts over the 50% win rate at any skill (only at Divine it has 50.6%, all rest are under 50%).
Then having a pos 5 farming and not building any escape items mean you actually don't have a 5. You only have a nuker that can function well in certain circumstances, like being able to accurately choose what target to hit and not have anything else nearby that would potentially break the combo, like creeps or other heroes breaking ult line.
There are a lot of reasons the game was won, starting from the fact that enemy lost lane from pick phase, 2 melee heroes vs 2 ranged, 1 ranged being tanky and the other one having decent damage and control/escape. Their only chance to get a kill would have been beast rush you, but then again, monkey doesn't have much to add and hood can technically slow/bind both enemies at same time.
Just as in low MMR, enemies kept feeding bot, monkey was not only kind of afk tree dancing but also feeding bot, like jumping alone into you at min 6, then again min and on and on and all over again. Simple feeding while having less tools, less damage and much lower level, pure 0 MMR plays.
Clock is not a tanky hero, not at min 10, not at min 20 (1500 HP + blademail), not at min 30 (1726 HP + blademail + lotus), you have 2 heroes with armor debuff + a mid that mainly did magic damage on him (Shuriken Toss).
The game was so bad that enemies never build any aura items when they needed and you ended build no aura items simply because it wasn't needed.
Zeus lost mid and still decides to go shard + dragon lance. I mean you have 2 melee heroes that feed, a clock that can't tank (but somehow gets kills) and your only solution to try turn the game is go zeus auto attack ? vs 2 support heroes that will almost always build Gleipnir.
As a loosing team, again, not 1 single escape item.

I absolutely hate this hero. Always on my ban list. I don't know how to lane against him as a core or a support 😭😭 anyone got any tips?
My Hoodwink is at 530 games, lvl 30, abysmal win rate (but I love her ^^). Legit pos 4 or 2. Pos 5 is mostely giga grief.
Tips against her: Quelling Blade for "suspicious" trees. Tangoes, Tangoes TANGOES. If you are quick, you can eat/cut created trees. So Bushwack does not work. She has insane armor and agi gain, but is crazy easy to nuke down with magic dmg.
NEVER EVER EVER EVER and eternal EVERRR chase her in the laning stage, or when she split pushes. DO NOT DO IT. Thats her play. Dont give in. You will waste more, than you gain.
Report her missing immidiately, at minute 6/7 (runes) she is that fast (tree running, tp, gates).
Dont try to disarm her, Acorn ignores disarms
If she gets Euls Scepter early, start praying ^^
And ghost scepter hoodwink is unkillable unless they 5x null you.😂
After the nerfs she's no longer broken

Id love some free mmr but I doubt it will happen cuz I get some really interesting individuals in my games, a gentleman who wished everyone cancer and a balkan man screaming "jebem vam pičku" startling me and making me miss a hookshot. Theres a lot to getting mmr and a lot is out of our control haha
as an avid hoodwink player i highly disagree with the facet choice here. i think due to hoodwinks ability to scale taking the other facet allows you to really turn online during the mid game and late game. nonetheless if you’re a good hoodwink and understand the hero you have no need for a bounce on a tree. it’s better to secure a ranged creep and have acorn bounce on the enemy offlane 2-3 times depending on bounces.
I think you’re underestimating or not understanding the implementation of the facet. It allows for consistent harass in one without waiting for two heroes to be close or one by a range creep. Also allows you to kick the enemy support out of the woods solo which hoodwink was bad at trading one on one off the creep line prior to this with the slow attack speed
@@adamfink8958If you can't outtrade enemy pos 4 then you just bad and the atk speed ain't even a problem just hit walk back and then turn around and hit again. Also there is a choice of lvling up bushwack at lvl 1

This facet is PURELY meant and usefull for a Position 2 Hoodwink with either Crit, Javelin or Diffusal Blade. The later one is the most important one to mention. Because you (can) Proc twice. No support in the laning stage acually needs to trade situational/lucky 55 - 90 PHYSICAL dmg for basically a free Lanse/Lence. This is just nuts. Way over 450 Squirrel games on me.

if you look at the base damage and movement speed hoodwink already a broken support even without skill 1 she can trade and win again pos 4 even pos 3 in this meta so it is recomended to pick this hero as support... look at 4:03 see how fast she is when moving to pull the creep some support have a hard time to do that either the attack animation so slow or the movement speed were slow, hoodwink didnt even need boots to be that fast....

Never should have been added to the game. Probably one of the worst visually designed heroes with the most obnoxious feature creep. Spammable black hole, great escape with a sniper break. The worst part is that everyone who plays them thinks they are nice with it when the hero has always been busted. It's the same vibe I get from dark willow turbo players. Plus the bans never go through. I hate and love dota but hate hoodwink more.

The amount of "soft support" farming hoodwinks I deal with in pubs is unbearable. Low risk high impact heroes are so fucking boring, it's catering to another sniper that is just there to farm kills with no commitment and way more tools. Hoodwink and alot of the new heroes (and now some facets) feel like the gradual phasing out of the support role in favor of more brainless bashing in lane.

2. Needs other heroes for stun or root for your ganks to work. Otherwise the hero can not do anything if bushwack misses
3. The hero is really fking squishy. Nevermind Zeus or rubick, he is on another level of squishy to the point he can't be seen or he gets jumped hard (if enemy is smart)
Also reason why it's terrible is because you literally have to pray your acorn bounces back to enemy midlaner and you can't bushwack since there is no trees

If you are a 5 you better go with 6 tangos than 3 to help sustain your carry or even yourself, salves are out of question cuz they have half duration in allies

your hoodwink gameplay is kinda cringe. granted you’re a better player than i’ll ever be but id recommend people watching to rlly learn the hero rather than just playing like he does. you should almost always charge ultimate before using stuns.
Create a channel yourself and start making anti-cringe hw guides so everyone can learn from you instead
