wondered how to make a main menu in roblox studio? or how to create a shop which has working GUI? ive made lots of 2024 roblox scripting tutorials about all the different bits of roblox to give you some up-to-date information about all of its properties and events.

The replies are crazy... first of all uni code is obviously going to be more complex and better than a random guy teaching roblox lua. Second of all 50$ maay be cheap for you, but reminder that second and third world countries exist. Where im form that 50$ can go to an entire months groceries for a family of 5, using all of that just for a coding tutorial (that is also limited to only roblox lua) is reserved only for the middle to upper class here

You could have used a default r15 startercharacter rig, made your character invisible and uncollidible, and contsrain the ball to you.

Long ago i oce did the same thing and the idea was to drive a car trough some off roading area ( if you didnt know in roblox you can make a car with only constraights and a veichle seat), and knock dummies all around, each one with different mass meaning their hp

After some CZcams tutorials, I learned I just need to learn how to read code, while using the Ai assistant that automatically makes scripts and inputs them into different folders.
that's far from true, after you make a few scripts you will shortly realize that the ai assistant is garbage. he made a whole video on it. I have a lot of experience when it comes to that bot, as an intermediate and it makes scripts that work, but don't do what you were thinking, or just straight up a script that takes the same time to optimize and make it yourself, if not more.
This isn't hate or criticism, but you shouldn't use it because it's bad. Sometimes it even makes up tokens (which are the words in a script) that don't even exist. P.S: Learning to make your own scripts is crucial to develop much faster.

Wait, you could actually use this in an obby without needing any scripting! For example, you could use drag detectors to roll a ball into a hole, and once it's in, you could jump on the ball or something. It's great that Roblox is adding features that don't require scripting

its easy to make simple games with little to no code. a lot of my games have minimal script, I'll add a few badges, i have a few reoccurring players. it is possible to make cool games without them for sure.

All you have to do to make the ball go up walls AND glide around the floor, just set the drag type to TranslateLineOrPlane, or TranslatePlaneOrLine. I forgor which one💀

Dude, just put a wedge or a “conveyor” part (doesn’t require scripting btw) under so the ball would just roll back once it fell
If it’s possible to make them without scripts you can probably do what bowling alleys do and have some kind of conveyer belt bringing the ball back to the start.
so if you can’t script things you’ll just have to use physics to make those things

if the Weld surface still worked, you could actually make a very small spawn and a part with the weld surface that spawns right at your torso or something, and then you could rope it to the ball.
You can attach to player by adding a character in the Avatar tab. Then set name to StarterCharacter, then put the attachment in torso. (Anchor the character and then unanchor it.)
You could've just reduced the strength of the drag detector, that'd make it so you can't hold the ball over an area, making it fall.
You could've connected the ball to your character by attaching it to a Rig named StarterCharacter, which is a child of StarterPlayer.
I just realised u should’ve made air hockey with pucks and an opponent. U can also make the distance of how far u can move to puck not too far.

For the rope in the character cant oyu just make a model named startercharacter and put the rope in it and then put it in StarterCharacterScripts and itll have the ball attatched
