    I just bought my one and I LOVE it ! It sounds so AMAZING for its size. I remember, in the 70's when they came out with their first "H-ifi" speakers, especially model 601. They sounded so horrible. Today, Bose is now WWWAY ! elsewhere. I really got what I paid for, and beyond...

Right now, I' m listening to some classical music through the special edition model and the sound is rich, deep,open and extremely accurate with piano and violin sounding lifelike as though you are in front of an actual concert. Overall is a good review, but 2 things i'm not agree: first even with a usb type c upgrade if you are traveling with laptop, phone, speaker, watch, tablet, drone, kindle, etc, you will have to carry one cable for each device so no difference there... 6 usb c cables in your bag. Second, of course that the stereo functionality is available but on Android only. iOS removed the functionality. Thank you for the video and also for the comparison.

    Well, in my opinion it’s not worth the upgrade from the first edition to the second. I have the first edition, after watching your video I realized that for one, the accessories are essential, I love docking my speaker on it’s charging cradle stationed on my desk while I’m working, when I need to go mobile i just get up and grab it and throw in my backpack, I know it’s fully charged when i leave. Second, Color. I really don’t really care of the shade of black on the speaker, it doesn’t add or take away from it’s functionality, Note that on my speaker doesn’t come with that white or gray ring around the front of the speaker, my speaker is all black. Third, Battery: Obviously a bigger battery is nice but it also depends on your lifestyle and how you use your speaker, so the question is ‘Do i really need the larger battery?’ In my case is the answer is ‘No’. If I’m out and about I’m usually wearing my Apple AirPods Pro. Lastly, Fourth; USB C. Again that’s nice and you’re right about not having to carry additional cables. I look at it as a slight inconvenience. The rest is the important stuff that you mentioned, PERFORMANCE! If it performs the same way and there is no sound difference then the next thing to consider is the price comparison. If you don’t already own the first edition then depending on the price and your needs maybe getting the 2nd edition may be the better choice. But if you already own the first edition will the lack of accessories and the above mentioned make a difference to you? In my case the answer is “NO”. Food for thought and I hope it helps.

    Hi. There are a couple of other things that I should probably point out to you. First of all, I think you did well in describing the speaker, even though you pointed at various places, I think you did describe the speaker well, considering the fact that I’m totally blind. I think in future videos, you may want to indicate better where you’re pointing when you’re pointing at certain objects though. Regarding the speaker itself, it actually is a stereo speaker, which is why you cannot pair another with it. It really is actually a left and right speaker into one cabinet. Also, what you didn’t mention is that the speaker is also available in two colors, and I actually chose the luxe silver. Here’s another important thing to consider. You pointed out that Bose was able to increase the battery life of the speaker without adding to its weight. This is achieved using a lithium, polymer battery, rather than the much heavier liquid lithium ion battery. As for sound quality, I couldn’t agree with you more. In fact, I was a fool to give my old sound, link, mini to away, and buy two micros instead. Because as good as the micros are, they have a couple of weaknesses. The sound link micro Has a shorter battery life, particularly when you pair it with another. Also, over time, the silicone rubber can come off. You also forgot to talk about other aspects of it like build quality. I think that for the most part, Bose is not only known for the sound quality, but build quality as well. Bose products are notorious for being able to last a long time. And this is no exception as you pointed out. You said you had your old sound link mini for six years, and it still works, right? There you go. I’ve had a wave SoundTouch since 2015, and I love it.

      Oui il est inclus, c'est un câble usb-A vers USB-C :-)
      Regardez à la Fnac, en ce moment elle est à 120€, et il y a moyen de l'avoir à 100€ en prenant deux cartes cadeau de 50€ valant 60€ !

    would like to ask apart from usb-c, battery size, colour, no charging cradle, is there any other differences in functionality? can the original soundlink mini ii also connect to 2 devices at once? and do you happen to know about the differences in audio when it comes to revolve vs the original mini ii? thanks in advance :)

    • @dueltheman
      @dueltheman  Před 4 lety +2

      Hello :)
      No, apart of the new things you quoted, there's nothing different and no new functionnality.
      Yes, the original mini II is capable of being connected to 2 devices at once :)
      In my opinion, the sound of the soundlink mini II is better than the sound of the revolve. The revolve+ has a more powerful sound though. Revolve+ > Soundlink Mini II > Revolve.
      But the mini too is way cheaper than the revolve+ so... It depends of your budget but i'd buy the mini II.
      I hope I helped you :)

    I have both version 1 (has like 10 years already) and a brand new version 2 of this speaker ... its HUGE downgrade in sound quality. The version 1 has much better bass, voices sounds much more clear, crip highs and excelent mids that mix everything at perfection. With this new version 2 the sound quality is awfull, cheap highs, no mids, and less bass..the sound does not fill anything ! HORRIBLE
