    Teacher, thank you. I have observed that sometimes the adverb comes before the subject and at other times at the end of the sentence. Is there a specific grammatical rule for these variations in the word syntax? Also I notice that there seem to be separable verbs, and that when they are used, part goes at the beginning and the other part goes at the end. Teacher, am I correct in this observation?

      Hi Philam1973 👋
      I will move to Cebu. When we talk about "move" this means it's going to be for good.
      Short term: Mobakasyon ko sa Cebu. This means that you're going there for vacation.
      Long term: Mobalhin ko sa Cebu. This means that you'll be staying in Cebu and make it your homebase.

      @@cebuano101 the question refers to your explanation of future tense of using Mo- verses Mag- Your explanation was based on whether the action is short term or long term. “Move” or “transfer” in Bisaya, as I understand, is “Balhin”. So back to my question. Is the action based on the day of the move (which is short term or long term (because it is a life time move)? Sorry if I don’t recall the two prefixes. I’m trying to remember your explanation.

    • @cebuano101
      @cebuano101  Před rokem +1

      Hi Philam1973 apologies for this super late reply. It's more on the context meaning and not when the move will start.
      Use mobalhin if the intent is to transfer.
      On the moving day, you can say "mobalhin ko karong adlawa"(singular) I will transfer today.
      "Mamalhin mi karon" (plural)= We will transfer today.
      I hope I was able to answer your question.
