Toyota makes the best hybrids. My brother has a 2010 Prius with 270k miles still running.
Their durability is just crazy!
Mazda just got most reliable car brand title
@@nilaomugexi We will have to see that, but i don't see any Mazda getting to 300,000 miles with just regular maintenance while getting around 50 mpg / 60 mpg. The planetary gear set that Toyota hybrids use is far more simple, efficient and reliable than any other kind of transmission / transaxle.
Iâm still loving my 2009 hybrid⊠145k on the clock, avg 40mpg, no mechanical problems⊠a keeper for sure.
Did you have to replace the hybrid battery?
It's been 13 years, has Toyota told you to replace battery?
I got to admit, the XSE hybrid is the perfect example of a sporty sedan with great fuel economy.
It is about the balance for sure.

thanks Joe and Lori for the last two reviews. Looking forward to seeing more!
Gotta love your entertaining commentary Joe! Canât wait to see more of your videos coming up!
One of the best things about the new generation of the camry is the rims
Theire rims are just litđ„đ„
Nice review Joe! Looking forward to your reviews on the Blackwings!!

Great review! I'm seriously looking into one of these for my next car.
I've waited so long for this one!!! My next car right there!!! Thank you so much for this one, Joe!! Make sure you wear sunscreen when you're out there! Miami, FL native over here! đ đ đïž
I hope it was worth the wait!
i love how the camry looks like it looks so good from the back
Good job on this car review man this is an interesting way of the Camry
You are the man George! Thanks for that!
Great review as always!! I just picked up a 2021 XSE non hybrid a couple weeks ago. Pearl white with the red interior fully loaded. I absolutely love it. The hybrid just didnât offer the options I wanted like the pano roof and they donât even give you the quad exhaust like the standard XSE so I steered away.
My dream hybrid sedan!! Nice review Joe.
Even though it is a CVT transmission, itâs actually an eCVT. So instead of a push belt (Nissan/Honda) or a steel chain (Subaru/others), it uses a planetary gear set!
A planetary gearset is WAY more reliable and efficient than a normal CVT. Think of it like a larger version of a handheld drill. The drill has 1-4 gears, and has an electric motor which drives the bit. The Toyota is the same, it has actually 2 electric motors, one for the engine and another for the wheel itself. Itâs a little more complicated than a normal CVT but itâs designed to last MUCH longer, and it has more power output than a normal CVT due to the electric motor instant torque.
Love the blue color on it, making it pop for sure.
I have to say that you are amazing and the way you are doing this video is outstanding, good job brother
Great vid Rati
Hereâs my take on this. I went to a Toyota dealership last week and looked at this very car, an XSE Camry hybrid. It looked good of course but I said to myself if Iâm going to drive a hybrid, and Iâm not buying for speed, why not get something with more utility? So instead I made a deal on a RAV4 hybrid XLE. I get some ground clearance, cargo capacity, and all wheel drive. Iâm expecting delivery sometime in august
That is a very good way to look at it!
@@RaitisRides curious if the driving experience on the Camry is significantly better, more comfortable, etc. My mom is considering downsizing from a pilot to either a CRV or a RAV4 but only thinks it's smart to do it if the gas mileage is going to improve significantly. So the hybrid does that, for the most part. But 52 in the Camry is pretty hard to beat and I think the market is more friendly for people in the sedan area than the crossover. Trying to help her make a good decision though and she is sketchy on front wheel drive
Lol always talking about snacks. Love this channel
"Refrigerator on 4 wheels"
Nice one Joe đđđ
Nice video! That dark blue looks sharp with the black rims! My european Camry has the hydraulic pushrods btw.
The Camry hybrid we get in Europe has 215 horsepower and 163 pound feet of torque (thatâs around 225Nm).
0-60: 8.3 seconds
Top speed: 112mph (180kmh)
Fuel consumption: 43.2mpg combined (5.46l/100km)
I truly hope Joe hits 1 million plus subscribers and makes a bunch of money on CZcams. He could make a toaster sound exciting. I find myself watching his videos about cars I have no interest in purchasing (like a Toyota Toaster. I mean Camry)
I can't do it without your support Sean! Thanks for being so supportive!
Also Joe. The rear USB ports are a dealer accessory. My 2020 XSE v6 came with that option
Should be standard from the factory!
Next ye they might put out the refresh
Itâs certainly up there Joe.
Good review. Would have liked to hear how well the cruise control and lane assist work too.
I love it my boy Joe keep up the work and I love the video lot real true đŻđand funny đđgood đŻđ
Typically I'm not a hybrid guy. However I could own this especially if I lived in Florida given everything is so spaced out and you have to drive around so much to get to your destination (at least on the East Coast). Lastly I could drive from Ohio to Florida on 2 tanks and have a normal/sporty looking car. Have this for the daily and the sports car in the garage.
Im low key slowly transitioning. Them hybrids looking real nice because of the gas prices in cali.
Not in the market to buy a car but I still enjoy the reviews
Great review Joe. Mine has a moonroof ⊠maybe different options available in Canada?
Can you please put actual twinkies into the storage areas? Right now Iâm taking your word for it but I need visuals!
One of his past videos he actually had couple boxes of twinkies and dumped em in the pockets.
Joe, love the review on the Camry Hybrid!! Need some advice from you. I currently own a 2016 Toyota Corolla and was looking to make the switch to a Camry Hybrid. I watched your review on the Hyundai Sonata Hybrid and I was blown away with the technology that is inside of the car!
Key fob has remote start, lane keeping assist, HUD, duel passenger seating fantastic MPG. It seems as if these are the things a Camry is lacking and I will be interested to see what they do in the 2022 Camry Hybrid! Thoughts on what car you would prefer?
Thanks Joe! Appreciate your insight đđ»
The Camry has these options also, it just depends if it comes with those packages for the HUD. The Camry XSE already has remote start on your phone and your key fob also (press lock three times and on third time, hold it). Lane Centering Assist is already standard across all Camry trims and has steering assist also where if you get out of your lane, not only will it beep at you, it will move you back to your lane!
Hybrid engines are quiet love it
If Toyota would just add fogs, this would be perfect. Not having that option is a zonk for me, as I think they look sportier, and they also help a lot more than people think, especially if they are LED fogs. I have the factory LED option on my Fusion, and they provide a lot of visibility to the sides of the road, which helps for deer, curves, etc. and also for those driveways out in the middle of BFE where other lighting isn't available.
Your test model was decently loaded. BSM, 360 camera, HUD, built-in navigation, heated steering wheel and ventilated seats donât come standard. The hybrid can get a normal (not panoramic) moonroof as an option as well. Also, 2 rear USBs are an accessory that you could add for an upcharge of $130 (totally worth getting it IMO).
As for the CVT, itâs an ECVT, so it doesnât have any belts inside like a normal CVT.
Was that on throttle section in sport mode?
The paddle shifters are not "gears." They control minimum engine RPM. If you're on a mountain road you can get engine braking and faster response out of a corner, but if you floor it the transmission will always sit at peak power.
Once I understood it, I appreciated what it was doing. "Simulated gears" are kind of ridiculous anyway, this is a smart system.
I got a Lyft in one of these and it had a more upscale feeling over a standard Corolla for sure.
It's a camry
I really Love this Blue Color. I like almost everything on this XSE Hybrid. The only thing I dont like is that Silver Front Stripe.
I agree with You about the Chrome Delete around the Windows, also Black Out all the Chrome Rear Badges.
Thanks Ricardo for sharing your input!
8:18, 7.8 seconds is for the regular gas model the hybrid does it in 6.9 seconds according to "Alex on Autos".
The rear has optional usb connectivity and I thought there was a sun roof option on their website.

I spend an average of 45$/week in gas as a daily driver in San Diego. It's a very smooth ride at all times and very easy to drive. Love how it handles and how it looks with the two tone pearl white/black top and black accents.

You still have that VW Taos on the menu this week Joe? Manufacturer incentives ending soon and I'd like to see your take on it..
I test drove this and it's awesome. But is the JBL sound system worth it?
What they really need to do is give this car the rav4 hybrid prime engine. You'd be getting a plugin hybrid with a major upgrade to acceleration. Would be sick. And throw in that TRD cat back exhaust for the icing on the cake
Seems like a great daily.

I just got a 2021 Camry Hybrid XSE in white on red interior with a sunroof. Regular sunroof, not pano. But I must say, as a first time Camry driver, I am very impressed with the car. Very smooth. Though my car doesn't have ventilated seats and heads up display.
How is the mpg and drive quality. Thinking of getting the same one 2022 though
@@ultragoldcoin8780 I am very impressed with the car. I truly like driving it. I normally drive in Eco mode, and almost always have at least 47 mpg. My last tank of gas got me 550+ miles. I strongly recommend it.
@@decline666 thanks for responding. I'm guessing that's combined, which is good. I've heard regular xse non hybrid models can get 40-41 mpg highway driving and 30-35 mph city. I just don't see the hybrid as being worth it, unless your city driver.
@@ultragoldcoin8780 my driving is about 50 city/50 highway. I was close to getting a Prius, until I saw the Camry.
@@decline666 it's crazy because if you could take those 19 wheels off and tires, go down to 17 inches. I know your mpg would go up quite a bit more and you'd have a more comfortable ride. I'm thinking of popping those 19 wheels off as soon as I get the car. I'm sure you could get 55 highway mpg if you 55-65mph. I just think those wheels are holding back the cars efficiency.
Can you make a review on the 2022 Kia K5 GT?

Who would think toyota made an attractive looking hybrid? Loving the changes they made and that color spot on the money
This is one Hybrid that has the look.

you can get it with a standard sunroof. no pano on the hybrids tho :)
in my opinion the Toyota Camry is really the best midsize sedan to buy. The competition is Honda Accord and Mazda 6 are also very great sedans, I like both of them, but Toyota Camry is much nicer, more elegant and better. I've also had a 2019 Toyota Camry Hybrid for 4 months and I just love it. Kia Niro review please!!
Question - I have the 2021 XSE Hybrid and it does get excellent gas mileage. However, when it gets down to the last 30 when the light comes on, for some reason miles just tick off super fast. I have gone 10 miles (of the 30 when the light came on) and it is already telling me I'm down to 5 miles left. The gas milage appears correct the rest of the time, but just rapidly goes during that last 30-40 miles. It is crazy to just how quickly it drops and I find myself frantically looking to get to a gas station. I try to not get to that point anymore... but is that normal? Is this common for others?
Iâm mad that the 2020 Camry didnât have an XSE hybrid.
Yeah, I guess there is always going to be that first rear introduction.

But the 4cyl is nimble and quick
An N/A 4 cyl with 208 HP is very good as is, considering previous Camrys were mid 100s. If you wanted more power, shouldâve gone for the V6, but that costs way more.
