I think the effort they've been putting into these EVs they should have been putting that effort and research into mastering hybrid technology and hydrogen fuel cells. I think if anything we should rely on fuel cells instead of electric for a long term change for the future.
I think that one day, EVs will be a commonplace thing. I think that hybrids are the best of both worlds. I would say, when it gets to the point where you can buy a 200k mile $1500 20 year old EV that will be reliable, then they have succeeded. A TON of people rely on 20 year old 200k $1500 cars for everyday use. Like more than most people can fathom. Therefore EVs must take that place.
