So this is self defense? What if someone really hit's one of them? It's not about choreographic moves in real life. And it hurts to hit someone. And it hurt's to be hit in real life.

It's about learning to use structure to create athleticism. Some of these drills are straight out of traditional boxing, judo, wrestling gym practice. I can teach a guy to jab/cross/hook. Teaching somebody to FLOW while doing so is much, much harder -- and may also prevent normal-life injuries.

This looks to me like a good level study of body mechanics, which is part of the core of all martial arts and sports like boxing, judo etc, wether their trainers are aware of it or not. I haven't heard any of the teachers in the video promising anything concerning self defense. Personally, I would certainly participate in a workshop like this if I wanted to build my ability to defend myself, especially when it comes to real life situations and not just sports with rules.

J.E. White looks like it would be good training for improving mobility and agility for fighting and self defence along with your proper combat training.

but is it done in an efficient time space? Are there other quicker ways to appreciate this that can be used more quickly? It's a pot pourri of ideas with a dancer's tinge. Many of the ideas are already being done in sports.
