Tides are extremely predictable. Tides are based on the position of the moon relative to the Earth, and the orbit of the moon is predictable and regular. Every day has 2 high Tides and 2 low Tides, and most news outlets of beach towns will announce the times of high tide and low tide like most other news outlets would announce the time of sunrise and sunset.
The tides the themselves aren't unpredictable, reading the tides is the tricky part because the exact things can be occurring between or during, so if you happen to get them wrong or get the timing completely wrong horrible things can happen when you're talking about small watercraft, divers, or just swimmers in general, In fact there're only small sections of entire waterways that has tides this wild and generally there're well known areas if there're in highhtraffic pathways and are known for that behavior and avoidable in most situations.

It's kinda refreshing in a way. I get to rewatch my fave mrballen episodes and get a bit of input here and there. It's valid content
