Another case of beliefs killing soneone. It's very common because most humans don't seem to understand they need to go with facts not beliefs when making real life decisions. Beliefs that some other mammals are capable of magically sensing by some nonexistent osmosis, a human mammal's intentions and feelings is what killed this man ultimately. Beliefs inform upon our actions and that's why it's so important to believe as few false things as possible.
Even though he's deceased, I hope Charles learned his lesson. Always give Grizzly bears their space. Dosen't matter how much you love them but doing what he did, it was both very risky and stupid
Clearly this guy loves those bears more than his wife, it takes at least 3-5 bullets just to slow down the bear attack, I watch many grizzly hunting documentary all the time, even if you've big powerful rifle unless it's a straight shot to the head or the heart, you're not going to kill it, he could've
injured the bear to slow it down and probably survived, and he could've then returned with veterinarians with the rangers, track the bear sedate it, and do the necessary to get it back on its feet, but he choose to be selfish and widowed his poor wife.
