      In San Jose, California it is the same way. FSD makes too many mistakes, you cannot relax while its in control.

    That was very informative, but I agree, on a long road trip to West Texas and you want to relax, yeah I can see that being useful. Though in Dallas traffic or self parking, I do not have the patience for those options.

      it is SO painfully slow -- I (aubrey) used it at walmart after this video and the amount of traffic it creates by just taking forever is problematic, not only is it a bit embarrassing lol, but it is just too slow to be useful. I am a terrible parker, so this was a feature I was excited about but I just don't have confidence to use it

      @AubreyHP oh my gosh, Aubrey, you responded to another one of my comments! Love the content you guys put out. Keep pushing and keep it going.
      It really takes time, I mostly use it at work where there's not much traffic, so for me in that setting it works okay though one thing I'll say though from my limited time with my model3 is that Tesla does a good job fixing these bugs with updates overtime. I used to be annoyed at just how inaccurate the camera based perimeter mapping was. Now that's been updated and is way more accurate. That being said, I would not buy the autonomous driving feature. It doesn't recognize pot holes will turn from the outer lane to the inner lane at a double lane 4 way cross road, among other glitches that are yet to be fully sorted. It's a really phenomenal technology, but it still needs improvement for really world application

      That is why people will continue to kill people in car accident because of their aggressiveness, lack of attention and doing stupid things while driving, the KEY WORD IS SAFETY. I am not saying that the FSD is perfect right now but, if everybody is driving the way the car is driving right now which is going to get better there will be lesser accident than it is right now.

  • @bolarinwaosilesi1352
    @bolarinwaosilesi1352 Před měsícem +1

    You can never satisfy everybody, the car parked it self but it's too slow doing it, it parked right in the middle of the available space but it's not in the middle of the marked line, did you ever consider that those cars on both side might have not parked in the middle of their own space, so your car is just measuring the space between the two cars regardless of the marking on the ground and if it had parked in the middle of the marked line that means that it will be too close to one car than the other 'am guessing right.

    • @DerekDavis213
      @DerekDavis213 Před měsícem +1

      Backing into a parking spot is not the best, when you want to unload groceries into the trunk.
      But Autopilot does NOT support driving straight into a parking spot. Why not?

  • @soccerjonesy
    @soccerjonesy Před měsícem

    The answer is no, it's not worth it. Tesla is absolute garbage against the competition now. They're lacking in quality checks, they're lacking in overall quality for price, and they charge $12k for a system that is in most modern cars today. Ford Blue Cruise is practically on par with this, and Ford doesn't charge you $12k for it. Not to mention every car brand is rapidly advancing their autonomous driving, where as Tesla has been in Beta phase for some crap program for years now. Mercedes just became the first automaker to begin selling Level 3 Autonomous Driving cars in the US, with their closest competitors behind them being BMW, Audi, Ford, etc. Tesla isn't even a competition to them anymore with how poorly managed Tesla as a company is.
    Additionally, Tesla over prices all their cars. You can see that with Tesla's latest desperate attempt to drop prices, since their consumer base is rapidly declining. A lot of tesla fanboys are oblivious about the technology that goes into autonomous driving, thinking a level 3 is a simple software upgrade to their 10 year old car, when it's not. The amount of technological advancements in hardware alone, just to upgrade their cars to level 3, will set Tesla back so far. No modern Tesla will be able to handle level 3, and they would have to upgrade every single item pertaining to autonomous driving in their car just to be able to perform the upgrade, making every model outdated, along with jacking up the price of the newer models that is already struggling to keep up with expectations.
    So anyone out there contemplating this decision? No, just simply no. You'd be spending $12k on a useless program that you'll feel cheated out on as you watch the entire competition blow past your car. With the quality that goes into Tesla's, starting MSRP on a Model 3 should be like 25k before tax breaks or rebates. A Model S doesn't even surpass a Mercedes C-Class or BMW 3 Series in quality, so asking $72k for that is mind boggling when it should be down in the $35-45k range.
