The peak of Capcom's 2d fg stage quality was mainly around 95-97: MSH, XvSF, DS3, SFA2, SF3 NG. But the highlights were MSH and DS3.
It is really impressive how Justin saw only once the guy using a different loop with Storm and he immediately absorbed the combo for him and used in the rest of the matches.
The guy legit had to switch back to sabertooth to prevent Justin from getting more knowledge out of him

I can honestly say I've seen justin do that exact same combo several times and was wondering why he never did it anymore. I've seen him do even more accurate combos with storm using lighting strike to the point of dizziness. Hes probably sand bagging or unfocused
Justin knows the combo already.. it's just that modern XMen v Street Fighter is played with rules limiting how many reps of an "infinite" you can go for, so Justin was limiting his. His opponent showed that he was playing at a higher limit, so once J saw that, he switched it up.
It made sense, otherwise he'd have been playing at a self imposed disadvantage.
tl;dr: Justin doesn't have Sharingan.

There should be a progress bar showing the active download of Justin's opponent. I'm always straight up amazed by the way he adapts after just a few rounds so perfectly.

I remember in my area i used to be the best in my hood. But never saw people play like this until mc2. Never even knew that infinites or touch of deaths existed
Thats crazy how you can adjust like you do. Seriously playing against some of the best, pretty much getting rick-rolled the first 3 matches, and then come out winning the set.
That Sabertooth was no joke. If you hadn't adapted to the Tech on grab, it would have been rough at the end. Great reads!
That was a great set. Loved to see how as it went on Justin's reads, and teching throws got better. Very intense match, props to both players.
It saddens me that XvsSF (along with the rest of the VS series) aren't on modern consoles. Good shit Justin!

@@AC-LING666 And at this point it's impossible to go against fightcade. Capcom and Snk are making retro releases with rollback lately but nothing will work, because they are too late. Now there's a whole scene around fc. And it just tends to grow and improve with time.

Even with his skills and experience he just cant be so sharp and ready at the game just like people who are dedicated to it since release on 1996. There are people who didn't move on to MvC2 for example, they kept playing all older games. But his skills and experience clearly showed in how he turned around the set after the first matches.
Hmm, Darkstormqueen is pretty good at this as well. A few good players in that Fightcade room.
I believe the best way to tech is to pulse the medium into heavy button depending on the throw they use. My friend did this and he teched all the time.

If Justin actually learned proper infinites like all the keyboard warriors, I'm pretty sure he'd be unbeatable at this game.
That is why he doesn't, he focus more on content and make hi videos fun to watch, imagine if he learn proper infinites and add his talent for adaptation it wouldn't be funny watch him loop all his opponents. He know and we already know that he is a talented player.
he does know them, but on fc2 the community basically agrees to not infinite loop each other for the sake of keeping the game entertaining. instead they agree on 1 to 2 loops then extend the combo w/e way you can, to help try and push the creativity in this game, since the combo mechanic is so incredibly friendly for the cast.
@@ChicknNwaffls I dunno about that. I see a lot of vids where it's infinites aplenty. I thought that players were just dropping combos, though i know some were going for extra difficult versions.
As for Justin, he plays to win. Is him learning and applying infinites going to be any different than his opponent's Sabretooth's air throw bullshit? Or, for that matter, running with Storm and Hail Storm spam? Or Chun hit confirm into kick super (that cannot be punished afterwards since she's completely invincible on recovery)?
Right now when Justin plays XSF, he seems to play it more like another Marvel game than XSF specifically. I don't know if that's due to inexperience or what. But i think it has and will cost hin wins if he continues to play that way. But that might just be me.

Another game that brings back memories is SNES Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Tournament Fighters. You should give that a try.
To tech in this game your tech has to be simultaneous with your opponent's grab. If you try to tech after the grab it won't work. You have to do it at the same time the grab took place. Try it next time.

Sabretooth was just too deadly to his chain links juggling you around like how cats play with their balls.
Justin had to play smart and was able to do more first hit initials of going toe to toe but doing less damage, giving him more pressure unable to do things like what sabretooth does with one combo to death chain links making it hard to get out from.
But once the enemy used storm's combo, he sharingan copy the technique and used it against the enemy.
With justin's sharingan, we were surprised he was always on top as he got evil, he only got stronger. Sorry for doubting you in 1%
