Someone in Nashville once told the great Dave Carter that his songs had "too many words." Like these fine works by Tamara Lindeman, wordy songs demand something from an audience, something more than just tapping feet and nodding heads. You actually have to listen hard. But it is definitely worth the work.

Great tune, especially the lyrics! What tuning is the rhythm guitar in? Nice lead work on this, as well, and properly understated other instruments.

yeah i'm trying to work out the tuning too... seems like it might be DADGAD? the song is definitely in D and the opening lick she plays seems to work in that tuning but I get a bit lost in the middle :S
