He started as a teen. That's when he was at Gilgo beach. 59 years old.. This just bothers me and makes me sick. To think he's almost 60 years old. Just how long has he been committing these crimes against women? Just how many unsolved murders are there? Just how many Mother's and Father's are waiting for answers or waiting for their daughters to be found? Dang!! To really think about this deeply it is mind blowing..
What are the odds that he started before 2013, 2012, even before 2007 as I've heard mentioned before somewhere?

From my career, serving many search warrants it looks like the suspect hired movers. I've never seen so much "stuff" coming out of a house for a homicide investigation they'll need a warehouse or a big garage to store all of it. He was curious to see if investigators were getting close to him by performing those searches online. His uncontrollable appetite for these women of smaller stature seemed to satisfy his craving for control. The rage he must have inside his head has obviously been there all his life after events or violence he witnessed growing up. I read in some or another comment section (someone from Long Island) saying that after the murders happened and there was some sort of memorial (temporary) made for these beautiful young women, with flowers and cards etc. one day 3 really strange looking dolls had appeared on the site, placed very visibly and the look of the dolls were so odd that it was giving people the creeps and everyone was wondering if it was the killer who had left them there?
Maybe the police/fbi is thinking this doll they found in the house (apparently the size of a small child, not a blow up doll or adult size) (there is a photo in some video with the doll being carried out from the house in a glass "cage") could shed some further light in to the case of the strange dolls left on the memorial all those years ago??
This case, i reckon will be expanding much further, and unfortunately i have a feeling there will be far more victims. R.I.P all victims.

By divorcing him, she is no longer protected from testifying by spousal privilege. New York is not a community property state, so filing for divorce might be her way of protecting her assets from any wrongful death civil suits that arise. It might have been a wise move even if she doesn't believe the accusations.

Having done some research into the family, it appears its not just Rex who's "odd" in the family lol. He has an older brother by just a few years who was charged with involuntary manslaughter for being drunk and driving that ended in him crashing into a property complex and instantly killing an individual who managed the complex. He was incarcerated for a couple of years for causing the death. They are both described as "the odd couple" by neighbors, as the older brother left New York and moved further south and purchased several acres of land to make into a large private compound live on. Rex Heurman was believed to be considering moving on the compound with his brother, particularly as it was reported he would be able to freely hunt on land unfettered....but knowing what we know now, it wouldn't surprise me if he was more interested in digging up his victims and moving them to be re buried in the brothers compound but thankfully he ran out of time to do so. And I strongly doubt he'd have ceased killing and would have undoubtedly found more victims and no doubt buried them on the large, isolated, sprawling ground in his brothers compound that maybe the brother was completely clueless as to the activities of his serial killing brother.... This arrest didn't come a day too soon.

Professional Jules Epstein does an excellent job of explaining the legal aspects of the collection of evidence, what is allowed, what may be allowed for special reasons and what is not allowed and how those things may difference during the period of the investigation and at the trial. His explanations were illuminating and revealed the complexities of the law both for the prosecutors and the lawyers defending the accused. The presentation was fascinating. I have my doubts about whether I would have ever made a good law but with all the recent murder cases I have learned so much about the law that is very interesting, very interesting. I always thought I might be bored if I had gone to law school but I now realize I would have eaten this up. And every case is unique. Thanks for sharing.

20:59 could that not be explained away in court by saying ‘well he lived right by the beach, he was just a concerned citizen following the case of the victims that were dumped right by his house’? Obviously most of us would be like ‘nah he’s a serious creeper and loving the coverage’ but logically it could be explained away by his defence?

the title of this video is: "5 Most Disturbing Pieces of Evidence Found in Alleged Serial Killer's Home." So, uh, - just wondering: are those 5 Most Disturbing Pieces of Evidence even ever mentioned in this video????

I feel like the odds of him still having at least trophies on one of his properties since he doesn't want to part with them

    Great interview.
Tho RE the cat and lifevest, keep in mind the bodies and murders this case is currently revolving around are the 13+ year old murders. BUT that doesn't mean there aren't more. This guy didn't stop murdering women. Those two specific items may very well have been taken to connect him to more recent and/or older murders.
