Thanks so much! I hope you subscribe to my channel. I plan on doing more videos soon! P.S…… I had far better results with H4895 with this bullet than I did Benchmark.

I had good results with benchmark powder in my bolt action 223 with 50 grain v max bullets and the cci 400 primers and Winchester cases I was running a round 25.1 grains powder

Awesome & Very Helpful information! The 60 gr TMK is an accurate fine round.

I do it pretty much the same way , but I shoot them round Robin style when doing development to keep barrel heat expansion influence to a minimum. Say you had 6 charges to test with 3 rounds each. Your way, by the time you get to 5 or 6 you already have 12 rounds worth of heat + the fouler round in the barrel. While groups 5 or 6 may shoot great with the hot barrel will they do the same with a cold bore? By shooting 1 round at each target 1 thru 6 then back to 1 and so forth, you mitigate that heat variable somewhat by spreading the heat buildup throughout the series of charges. I like the idea of turning the suspect rounds upside down too.

I know the video is a year old, but has there been anymore progress with Benchmark and the 60gr TMK? I ask because I currently am using Benchmark and the 60 V-max bullet but since I am running a tighter case mouth inside diamater its a PITA to load flat base bullets and now looking at the Sierra TMK.

I actually tested H4895 later and got better results out of my rifle, so I didn’t spend much more time with Benchmark. Thanks for watching!

Using the same projectile as you - hoping for good results with H4198. Curious what your seating depth is - you worked towards finding your powder charge node, with your lowest velocity spreads etc, though to be fair to the projectile, wouldn't you perhaps then test the seating depths with the powder charge with smallest ES?
