Bringing everything under state ownership where the government are main boss, going against capitalism which gives people less opportunities, for people to be something to work hard to gain something. I like Sarkar and Corbyn and the interview. But I want to see an interview of Corbyn where he's asked more challenging, but respectful questions from the left. She did ask him about if he supports Extinction rebellion. But he has the idea that democracy necessarily produces the correct, socialist ideas. Often you can see wrong headed right wing opinions winning popular opinion and what would he do if either his membership or parliamentary party are more in favour of the wrong thing. The right wing often are at odds with what everyone wants, and they effectively achieve the aims by lots of ends. What would he do to actively convince people of his point of view.
There's all sorts of questions that the left hasn't sorted out either. Julian Assange is still being held. Chelsea Manning is back in prison over it. He could be asked about the rise of antisemitism in the west and the increasing shootings in mosques and synagogues by an until recently ascendant fascism and disaffected young white males. Shootings of members of his own party by this group. What can he do about it in government?

Listening to Jeremy speak I do feel despair for the UK. That someone who so deeply cares about British politics, British people and human rights has been demonised to such a degree as him. If Labour don’t achieve a working majority in this election, and when all is said and done. I think the UK will have missed out on a Prime Minster that would of left the country in a far better state than when he went in. And you couldn’t say that about a Prime Minster in the last 40 years. But he has at the very least inspired my generation to be more involved in politics and to work towards a better society. And for that I will be forever grateful.

Needless to say I will not be voting for either Labour or Conservative in the next election because for me there is no difference between them. @In A Minute as he has said publicly, he worked for press TV many years ago to try to challenge human rights issues from within Iran. He used his fees to fund his constituency office rather than make any personal profit. Show me any other politician who would do that! Fees for public speaking and presenting around the world are very common amongst MPs but the vast majority pocket that money themselves.
Re Brexit, he's made the best of a bad job by trying to keep both sides happy. Probably an impossible task but he's tried and I'm happy with his approach.

This interview makes me sad now that I’m watching this in 2021, with Jeremy ousted from the party and the left being blamed for the 2019 GE. It makes me sad because there was so much wasted potential, and now we’re stuck with Sir Keith the drip as the voice for Labour in the UK who, quite frankly, has done bugger all apart from purge the left. I can’t bring myself to vote for a party so hell-bent on self destruction for the purpose of just... nothing. With FPTP there’s very little reason to vote for anyone tbh.

I'm sick and I went out and voted for Corbyn as he is the strongest socialist we've had since my parents were young. Okay the Brexit thing was fuzzy but tbf I didn't want brexit and look how well that's turned out. Why would the uk and his own party and prior labour voters not vote for him! Excellent interview., Ash, as always, is professional and engaging...in a relatively short time allotted, her questions cover a lot of subjects and topical issues...Jeremy's breadth of understanding is evident and bodes well for a future Corbyn-led Labour government. There will be challenges if (hopefully WHEN) Labour defeat Johnsons Tories this Decenber, undoubtedly...the establishment won't be in any hurry to give-up the privileged lives they have led for so long ! Puts me in mind of the excellent tv series based on the book by Chris Mullin and former Labour MP 'A Very Britsh Coup' when a working class ex-miner , and impassioned socialist, Harry Perkins (Ray McAnally) , enters no. 10 in a landslide victory, and is assailed by a conspiratorial and Machiavellian plot by the Tory opposition press barons , Army, security services and by traitors within....very plausible, (if slightly out-dated as its set in the 80's Britain, (so pre-internet / social media etc),....please check it out if you haven't seen it folks ...

I don't see why Thomas Cook ever needed to be under public ownership. It operates within a market that is competitive and as such takes its chances that it will compete. Utilities are different. Water is a natural monopoly and a public resource. The government should be responsible for every aspect of water within the UK, whether it's drinking or control of levels and monitoring of the resource regionally. Conflating the nation's water with a travel agency is not helping the argument for sensible nationalisation.
