you know starfleets NX class was really badly outgunned.....the enterprise battle with the vulcans and andoians season 4, when the vulcan high command was taken down???? showed the NX class a small pin prick compared to the other ships, it got its ass kicked and really did no damage to the vulcan shields...the NX class was a outgunned under protected experimental test ship that earth threw out into space with a "good luck" pat on the back....it only survived due to plot story protection....after the collation of planets and the vulcan shields and warp 7 reactor and the andorian phaser upgrades it became more of a threat...

Loved the growth of this class throughout the series. Archer didn’t want to command a battleship but it turns out he needed one.
She was a decent fighter when she got her phase cannons and photon torpedoes. She was also surprisingly durable considering her lack of shields.
