Awesome men and women serving in our armed forces. But let’s not forget the spouses that stay home and run the family while they are deployed. They too are hero’s. Watched my mom as my dad deployed to Vietnam with the Marine Corps. My wife stood strong while I deployed to Desert Shield / Storm and then Somalia. .
what hit me was how kind and compassionate the Iraq hospital staff are. They see hundreds of blown up soldiers and yet they see each one as an individual and treat them as such.
Theirs an unwritten rule that you treat every patient like they are your family members because at the end of the day they are.
@@jeremycox2983 Well said.
I can’t thank you enough for your service and sacrifices. I gave nothing, you gave it your all ! I love you all !
Why is this not in the millions of views
I was stationed with BGen Gorenc back when we were both Capts flying out of Bitburg AB, Germany. He was with the 525th FS and I was with the 53rd FS assigned to the 36 TFW. It is good to see a really talented and humble fighter pilot make his star.
Thank you Sir
Maj Chad Dennis was my boss when he was a CPT and I a LT at Fort Polk LA...great guy, great leader......I am so happy he is ok! He is a hero! They all are!
Hi
Medical techniques have come so far
I remember being a small child in the 70s. Seeing so many former soldiers with amputated limbs. Using crutches or wheel chairs to get around
From a person who's family has served our country since the revolutionary War
Thank you
Thank YOU 🙏🏻
Excellent! All Americans should watch this documentary and see the sacrifice that both the wounded and the medical personel give. I only wish all our politicians would see this as well. They must weigh the costs "before" they send our precious young men and women into harms way.
Those homecomings with the spouses really got me. 😭 God bless these soldiers and their families…thank you so much for your sacrifices to our great country.
I thank all the men and women who serve /served our country 🇺🇸
Our soldiers did not fail us, let’s make sure our country does not fail them. We owe them so much! GOD BLESS AMERICA 🙏🏼
Interesting documentary. For someone who is going into the Air Force as a nurse, this is important to learn.
God bless all you Drs and nurses who take care of our military.💝💝💝
Awesome documentary. Thank you to every single past and present serviceman and woman, I thank you for your service and sacrifices. I can't imagine the job you selflessly do. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Thank you to all the soldiers who fought, rendered aid and made the ultimate sacrifice for this Country. ❤🇺🇸
Kudos to that Texas Dr giving his time!
The doctors are superb. God bless our troops.
The doctors, OR techs. nurses, nurse practitioners, physical and respiratory therapists; all who care for our troops are superb.
thx for all your service men and women
Outside of politics concerning why these men and women are fighting where they are, they’re doing the job they’ve been tasked to do to best of their ability in hopes of protecting their brothers and sisters besides them. They all deserve our respect and honor for that and nothing less. To the men and women that have returned, welcome home. To those who gave it all, we’ll never forget. It’s so sad to see the way we’ve treated these brave souls and the sacrifices they’ve made.
Thank you to all who served on thee battlefield and all their families on the home front! I thank you all
Holy crap . That sam guy was in my unit. We were at Fob Caldwell.....
May God Bless our Veterans or current Military Members , our Combat Medics, nurse, doctors and medical evacuation teams, and Prayers for Protection for all our current Military, and to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice may you rest in peace, towards the end of this I couldn't help but shed a tear or two.
These are ALL heroes in my mind!
Get well soon Mike and all that are injured we love you
God bless America 🇺🇸 🙏 ❤
This aired back in the early 2000s
OUTSTANDING PROGRAM!!!
This was a great documentary
The "Casus Belli" was for: Weapons of Mass Destruction. But everyone knows that it was just a pretext to steal oil. Now, please check out these FACTS that are on the Web: "In 250 years of existence as a nation, the US has fought against 29 sovereign countries. I LOVE EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU BROTHERS AND SISTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got stabbed in the throat 3 times. I got a helicopter ride to Seattle. I always remember the experience.
very informative thank you for a great xideo guys
Did they really add in the cat meowing effect at 10:07 to simulate the A/C panel opening and think we wouldn't notice? lmao otherwise great doc.
the doc who closed his practice to help down there in Iraq is amazing. it's always the same: politicians are useless but soldiers, medical personal and so on are the heros.
Rather curious as to when this footage was taken. It had to be before July 2007 as that's when they moved from that "tent city" to the "NEW" Hospital on the other side of the landing pad. Someday I will make a point to dig into my old hard drives later and see if i still have any photos from then...
This footage was shot during the summer of 2005.
I can't thank them enough for what they have given for our county. May God continue to bless them. The support they receive from injury is simply amazing.
I will never forget all that you men and women did for us. I'm so sorry for the way our government pulled out of Afganistan.

These docs are amazing in action
Salute
29:01 he looks at his missing toes like another walk in the park! My respects for these men!
Fuck. He knows how much worse it could easily have been different.
"So others may live.
It’s just unfortunate because you have the guys from the frontline documentary film a tank crew running over a car because the guys were “stealing wood” from rubble and than the guy says “I was a taxi driver that car was how I made my living now what will I do” but than you have that nurse that gave the Iraqi a gift from the heart and really cared so it’s like no wonder these people hate us but we were not all shitheads :/
Why is there an added in cat noise at 10:07 ?
hahahahahahaahha just realized
🙏🙏🙏🙏
I’m Iraqi 2004 I’m working at 977 military police company in las anaconda base
I'm very lucky, I served 9 years 6 deployments 4 of those combat deployments and all I ever got for an injury was a piece of shrap metal from a mortar right into the lower part of my leg, I didn't even know I was hit till hours after, the bleeding was minimal due to it being in my shin basically, and the pain was virtually none existent which I accredit to adrenaline, I had it removed in country and back to duty within 72 hours. Lucky that's all inwas cause I couldn't wait to get the fuck outta that hospital couldn't stand seeing dudes all fjcked up.
What is a "lymphatic laceration" ?
You can Google it.
DR.DREW !
why do they dub the sound of a huey over a blackhawk?
they probably just googled helicopter sound not knowing the difference
Didn’t see any teardrops on her
Leigha stout 25th
If the air conditioning units get so dirty then why don’t they cover them with a tent?
They need the air to circulate around them.
You can’t know matter what. Been to iraq and afghanistan. You have no idea if you haven’t been there. It’s 24/7 no matter what. Imagine working on something for a year no matter what. Mortar attacks, ground fire, suicide bombers and so on makes it tuff. It’s not as easy as you think.
i watched this video and thought came up that the guys can actually use condoms to pull overi most limbs when theres an injury especially legs s;tops from bleeding out, dont know what you guys think lezel knott-craig, south africa
And what did all that effort gain, blood, guts, loss of limbs, loss of life, absolutely nothing, Bush and Blair private war, Afghanistan the same result, war solves nothing
Too bad the commentary hypes it up like it’s a movie. Sad thing, and disrespectful, that the producers feel the need to make it more ‘exciting’. Total turn-off.
Thank you for service everyone of you who is out there! Stay safe! We all Support you!
