    I'm really excited about this project, it's been about 15 years since I last built a exhaust system.
    They have all been expansion chambers, this is more of a challenge being a hybrid of both .

    I love how you know all this stuff but not only that how you can put it into practice. I love my CST3 pipe but the ground clearance is fkin awful.

    Very enjoyable but you must learn to TIG weld. Really enjoyed it.

      at the moment i get my mate to tig it all up , but yes i want a TIG but it might be a problem getting gas here ?

    Great work as usual Steve.
    I’m really interested in buying a Sledgehammer engine but I want a clubman exhaust and they only offer an expansion at the moment. Could an existing clubman be modified do you think?
    Also the inlet requires a hole in the side panel , there must be a way round it ?

    • @TheSteelweasel
      @TheSteelweasel  Před 5 měsíci +1

      You will also get more vibration and the lambretta frame is not designed to take that much power .
      Panels will split everywhere. Do you really need that much
      power ? Lambrettas are ok at around 60 to 65 mph after that it becomes uncomfortable to ride on long trips ? Think carefully what you want and what you need ?

      @@TheSteelweasel this motor “ only” puts out around 30 HP as apposed to mid 40s and more with the Casa 265 engines and produces it at relatively low revs . According to Sticky, who has test ridden it, vibration is not an issue despite the large piston, I expect they have ensured the custom crank is well balanced .
      The whole idea is supposed to be a definitive touring engine that will hold motorway speeds all day uphill two up without needing rebuilding every five minutes and without trying to kill you every time you open her up. Which is why I find it strange they haven’t found a solution to butchering the side panel and have not produced a clubman exhaust.

      @@iancarrington1967 mm i would tour with a smaller motor . say 225 max with as standard as possible set up , clubman style exhaust and small carb 21mm , touring at 70 mph is pointless and motorways are not what touring is about . country lanes , villages and beautiful country side is what its about . good fuel consumption and confortable ride .
      if i wanted to tour at 80 mph id buy a T MAX YAMAHA . I think if you go for exotic motors you will only empty you pocket and find it un reliable , gas guzzlng waist of time IMO
