Hardly a “farce”. Rodney failed with a recurring issue and Indomitable had a mishap through no fault of its own. These things happen 🙄 I’d rather give credit to the Swanage Railway staff for working overnight and pulling out all the stops to get Indomitable re-railed, and getting the service up and running for the Sunday
Two hours standing on Harmans cross wasn’t fantastic but lucky we had the weather. Absolutely agree that the staff did a fantastic job to get 50021 moving again which performed well on the beer ex. And then 50026 issues, were both unpredictable and unfortunate but both incidents did cause disruption, known as a farce in some cases
The Swanage Staff were fantastic, however two hours of no service could well be seen as a farce. It’s just terminology used to describe the events that unfolded, nothing against anyone at Swanage
Teeny61: Exactly ! The use of the word “Farce” by Rail125 is ridiculous, and undermines the fantastic work the Swanage Railway staff and volunteers achieved during the night to get Indomitable re-railed, the line open and up-and running for the Sunday service.
@@existancejustified1 50021 did fail and I don’t know many more ways of describing two hours of no service. If it was on the mainline it’d be seen as a negative Again, it is nothing at all against any of the staff at Swanage who put on an excellent weekend The title of the video just describes events that unfolded on the day
those 20's look amazing in HNRC colors are there any more 20s in the same color scheme also not a good day for the 50s 021 failing and 026 derailing! but yea nice one

The Upgrades on those Class 20’s, make them look The Dogs Doo da’s 😉😁
hi there, great video, hats off to Harry Needle and friends for doing a good job on the 20's, pity the cl 121 was not on the road.
Why was it a FARCE a loco fails, Swanage's professional team swings into action and things resume as best they can ?

Lovely video have been see the loco on the live railcam
So what happened to the Class 50? 🤔
50021 failed and the following day 50026 derailed at Corfe
@@Rail125 😬 How bad was 50026 derailment? And did 50021 have an engine fault or did it just break down? 🤔
Those choppers look ex works. 60 odd years old, surely not. Locos not much less that ten years younger reborn as 69s. What a collection of locos!!
Because they effectively are. They were repainted within the last few weeks.
Pity I'm not there
