    Yes, a great video again Luke, and thanks for your enthusiasm and dedication. Your channel certainly has raised my awareness of the current railway scene for an old timer who did his ‘spotting’ in the 70’s. I also commuted the GW in the noughties and it amazing how it is changed but it is good to see freight still a stable revenue for the railways.

    What a great episode, I think I've only been through Tilehurst at speed, what a lovely building, it looks like the old Airfix kit!, and so many class 59s, I had to remind myself how old they are, certainly proved their worth. Thanks again.

    Wow - all of the 001s: 59, 66, 70...and 230. Interesting locations - always going to miss something at whichever station you choose, so I suppose studying Realtime Trains is essential preparation. Without doing that (and as a guess), I'd probably pick Tilehurst, if I had to choose only one.

    • @DiggleJunction
      @DiggleJunction  Před měsícem

      Ha I didn’t notice that (even as I typed out the info text)! I had to do a lot of checking beforehand to see when was the best time to switch. I’d say Tilehurst is my preferred too, less busy and a lot more room. The platform on R-West are tiny!

    Absolutely brilliant, you couldn’t have hoped for more. Thank you so much for sharing your superb videos. Don’t wear yourself out too much! May I make a suggestion, take a close look at Nuneaton, myself and a friend went there a while back, loads of freight,of course we could have been lucky that day. I live in Peterborough and make the occasional visit to the station for an afternoon or early evening, pretty good on freight with GBRF being there and trains coming from March, and all points East. Also those lovely class 91s in the almost InterCity livery. Plus it’s a crew change point. Take care mate & thanks again.

      Whilst some freight does go via Reading , there is more that passes through Reading West. You are probably best checking RTT the day before your proposed trip and be aware that not all will run.
      There is also plenty of freight via Didcot.
