My girlfriend has 6 dogs but 1 has "adopted" me. After a few nights without him, I'd wake up looking for him. I finally admitted I wanted him in bed for my comfort. He has never complained.
Who DOESN’T sleep with their dogs? I thought everyone did!!😂😂
No not everyone
Me too !
I sleep with my dog
The trainer ordered me to stop sleeping with my dog. I am disobedient.
Sounds like a wise teacher.
Listen too the EXPERT.
Your dog will always be a dog, you cant turn it too a human. with human behaviours.. Having your dog in bed, can cause serious trouble.
@@chriswong8400- the worst she’s ever done is pee on the bed, she was a puppy at the time. What serious trouble are you referring to? My dog is 7 years old and has slept in my bed since she was a pup.
My dachshund has slept with me since she was 10 weeks old she stays on her blanket until morning then get in front of me and snuggles !
Even though I had to stay awake all night because I was afraid I would crush him, I never felt tired. On the contrary, I felt happy every time I saw my dog sleeping next to me🐶❤❤❤❤❤
@@SimRacingVeteran What did you hire a trainer for then?
I don’t sleep nearly as well if my dog isn’t in bed next to me 😢
I only adopt seniors. Everyone of them have slept with me. I love seeing their little faces as soon as I open my eyes. My newest senior lived in a puppy mill his whole life. He has to always be touching me when we sleep. His little head sleeps right on my chest ❤
That's so heartwarming! ❤️ It's beautiful that you give senior dogs such a loving home. Waking up to those sweet faces is the best feeling, and I'm sure your newest senior is beyond grateful to be by your side. Thanks for being such a compassionate fur-parent! 🐾
A good dog is a blessing.
A bad dog is usually due to a person not giving them their daily requirements, or not protecting them from something(s) they react to in fear, anxiety or aggression.
@@Confidentk9sCa+ 1
That is true@@Confidentk9sCa
I don't think there is such a thing as a bad dog.
@@Bebedollie If a dog is bad it’s due to the owner in some way, depending on the behavior exhibited. As a long time dog owner who trains and hunts and works with them, I can confirm that there are some dumb dogs. They get taught to be good or bad, but dumb sometimes comes along for the ride. Some of the dumbest ones are the nicest also.
Could not sleep without the comfort of my cocker, God’s gift for me🐶
Same with my working cocker ❤
Lol. Cocker.
My cocker spaniel sleeps with me too. Best companion ever, day or night.
IS YOUR COCKER A BIG ONE. ?
All spaniels are sweethearts, never got to own one but I've hugged and cuddled plenty.❤
I don’t think I could sleep without Coco next to me, she snuggles with me and we both have a wonderful nights sleep. ❤❤
Me neither and my Staffie is also called Coco😆she is 14 and my lifes companion, keep safe and well always.
I also have a coco she is a nutty Pomeranian. Once she knows im going to bed she is quick to pick her spot on the bed.
Exactly the same here. 😂 He quickly goes to pick his spot, and before he sleeps I have to scratch his belly 😂
Cocohhhhhhhhhh!!!
I don't think I'd let an animal into my bed, where I sleep.
Two doggies in the bed under the covers 🐕🐾🇦🇺PERFECT
Absolutely, YES ! I agree.
One on each side for me❤

Thats how that band "3 Dog Night" got their name!
I suffer with asthma since childhood. But my simba has to sleep besides me. It has never triggered my asthama. Can't imagine life without him. Love him to the moon n back.
My dog Lola sleeps next to me every night. The only hassle is she has her bedtime and bothers me incessantly if I don't go to bed when she does.
That's cute
Haha I think a lot of dogs do this. My chihuahua groans and gives me “the look” like let’s go, now!
Wake up time is 4:30 AM, Bedtime is 9:00 PM. My Labrador makes sure that I obey him.
Never had a flu in twelve years with my dog, walking under rain and snow (and never been sick anyway). After his death, in winter I had a flu with very high fever. They do miracles for our health.
I'm sorry for your loss they are a pain in the a.... but the most wonderful creatures to walk this planet

Completely agree with you@@antpearson9676
Catching the flu, has to do with numbers of flu viruses that you are exposed to and the state of your immune system and nothing to do with who you sleep with. Your comment is not evidence based it is simply speculation. Nobody should take stock in any of that opinion.
don't assume ... just because you say so does not make it so...
Oh well, your individual feelings and experience must trump science, it’s 2024 after all.
I love sleeping with my Pittie. She makes me feel so safe.
The snoring puts me to sleep😂😂😂😂😂😂
We have a pattie too, he sleeps between the two of us every nite wouldn't trade for anything
I have always had two big dogs until recently, with one always being a German Shepherd. Instead of them sleeping with me, I slept with them. They pretty much took over the bed but I wouldn't trade those nights for the world. Boy do I miss my big babies ❤❤❤
You know there are dogs in need of a home out there that might be perfect.
When Buddy is asleep beside me I know all is right with the world. He hasn't woken me up in 10 years. How he wiggles himself out of my arms without waking me has always surprised me.
He gets the middle. It's up to me to me to wrap myself around him.

I am a disabled Vet. because of my disabilities, I need to be in a hospital bed, with the head and knees elevated. I have a Jack Russell Terrier and if I am laying down, even just to read for a while, he HAS to be on the bed with me. trying to make him get down is almost punishment level for him. he also wants to have at least some part of himself touching me at all times when laying down. he mostly curls up either at chest level, or between my knees with his head on my leg. he really does prefer to burrow under the covers, rather than being outside of them. I find his presence very relaxing. when I have to go down to the VA hospital for a few days ( 4-5 times a year) I really miss his presence there with me. it is lucky for both of us that he is a very small dog, as hospital beds are a bit longer than a twin, but also a bit narrower. the two of us pretty much fill the available space.
Thats exactly how my Jack Russell Terrier acts
He helps me with my CPTSD
It sounds like your Jack Russell Terrier is a true companion🐾 It’s incredible how intuitive dogs can be, always finding ways to offer us comfort when we need it most. I'm glad he can be there for you, especially with the unique challenges you face. Thank you for your service, and for sharing such a heartwarming bond with us. 🌟🛏️
You mean that you are allowed to have your dog with you at the hospital ? GREAT !!!
@@Ouralbleu1 once he gets finished with the training for being a service animal, yes. but what I was talking about is the VA put a hospital bed in my house. I have to have my head elevated to be able to breath while sleeping, even with a CPAP.
My Jack Russell Terrier sleeps at our feet under the blankets when it is not too warm. I have Prostate C, and the meds make me unable to move around. Terrible pain in my feet, no swelling. That little dog takes no nonsense. Anyone talk loud to me she will come close to me and show her teeth to that person, she is really a fantastic dog.
That saying “Who rescued who” is so true! Can’t imagine life without my best buddy. Found in the rural woods in VA as winter 23/24 was settling in as approx 3 months old. Malnourished, full of bugs, cold, shivering and now king of the house, friendly and oh so happy. I’d rescue them all if only I could.
That's such a beautiful story of love and compassion. It's incredible how much a little rescue can transform into a joyful companion, bringing so much warmth into your life. "King of the house" suits him perfectly after everything he's been through! Your big heart shines through, and I bet your best buddy knows just how lucky he is to have you. 👑🐾
When i had a nightmare one of my dogs would lay on my back and the other would lay on my legs and that weight from them helped me remove the negativity out of my sleep
We have 2 Jack Russells, one sleeps in her bed but the older one has her bed next to our bed. About 2am she comes up on the bed and she burrows in under the covers. Once there, she sleeps soundly. I love having her there
A dog will make herself home in your bed and sleep right next to you all night long even sharing your pillow. Move an inch away, she will move right behind you. You are the best bedwarmer ever created.
My small Shitzu snuggles so close, at times she almost pushes me off the bed. LOL
That doesn't explain them sleeping with you in the summer. 🌞
my doxie sleeps with me she keeps you warm in winter
I have to admit. I never get a complete night’s sleep with my little girl in the bed. But I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
My 14-y/o Jack Russell mix sleeps under the covers with me every night. So sweet.
Dogs are our best company and friend. I don't waste my time looking at TV while I have my dog with me they bring so much fun ,laughter, and good health. ❤❤❤

I sleep better with my dog
My dogs are not pets. They are family members. Same as me and my wife Beth. . They go on vacation and where ever we go. 😊
My two blue staffys sleep in my bed, the younger one always likes to be in the middle, and they both let me sleep right on the edge of the bed so kind of them 😂 talk about thinking they own all the space apart from where I sit in the lounge
My tiny Shih Tzu sleeps with me. We both are happy and I would never think about putting him anywhere else. He sleeps in when I do and gets up early when I do.
Our dog sleeps in the bed every night. She has to be in the middle of our feet. And we wouldn't have it any other way. It doesn't bother us at all, we find it comforting.
Doxies are the BEST cuddles😍😍🥰
Definitely! We've had Doxies since 1970, and for a few years we even bred them and we've always had at least one "snuggle bug" sharing their bed with us until we would lose one and would go through the "I'm never going to get another dog it's just too hard to get over when you lose one" period. Our last little guy our sweet little Beau, was definitely a daddy's boy we got him when I was going through several surgeries that would leave me confined to the bed and he was always right there with me. When he got sick with pancreatitis and it became clear he wasn't going to pull through I tried everything I could to make sure he was comfortable and his last evening he was laying at the foot of the bed and stood up and fell down on his side and just turned and looked at me with those big brown eyes and I told my wife "he's not going to make it through the night". I knew he was trying to come up and lay beside me under the blankets, we found his favorite fuzzy blanket and got him good and comfy laying beside me in my arms and at around 11p.m. he took his last little breath and crossed over the Rainbow Bridge peacefully. For almost a full year I was going through a really hard time and got very little sleep so we started looking for a new little guy. Sadly we were ripped off by several scam artists who took our money and would find something new each time we contacted them that they wanted money for and the middle of April of '23 we traveled three hours to pick him up and when we contacted them on that Saturday morning she wanted another $310 for a final vet visit and checkup. I told her give me the vet's address and we'll just drop by and pay him in person and pick the little guy up there. She came up with several different reasons for that not going to be possible and then said that the vet wanted us to buy an air conditioned carrier with a filter to take him back home and this was an extra $200 and she wanted everything paid with PayPal family and friends that if a deal goes bad for some reason you're just out your money as PayPal won't guarantee one of those sales. At this point I told her it was just getting ridiculous and we were going to pull the plug on the sale and just take the loss of what money we had already paid her for the dog. It funny because the people I used to work for and had been friends with since High School got in touch with me and said she had found a family with a miniature Dachshund that was ready to go to a furever home and after getting the address and phone number it was a different name but the same address and phone number for the same lady (and I use that term in a very reluctant way) so we decided we were just going to call it a two day vacation and go home on Sunday. Before leaving the area on Sunday a different friend got in touch with us and said she had a ten month old Silver Dapple Doxie male that she had bought to breed her female that was almost a year old but she also had a couple of big male dogs and all of the boys were extremely possessive over the little female and all she was asking was to be able to borrow him when her female came in heat and didn't want any money or anything else because we had already been through so much with the people who were just in it for the cash. That's how we got our little Silver Dapple Miniature Doxie male and we changed his name to "Gizmo" because of his patches and the fact he's definitely a little Gremlin and could tear up a steel toy in a cotton bed in the center of a sandbox, but that isn't anything new to us as all of our Doxies have all been like four legged wrecking balls. He's laying right beside me and between Linda and I. That's his usual spot since he thinks he has to take care of both of us since Linda has had to have a quadruple bypass open heart surgery and the 11th of December had a stroke and spent eight days in the Hospital ICU in a drug induced coma before she woke up and has had some short term memory problems and like me isn't real stable on her feet but she's still the best one to take Giz' out to explore and meet new friends.
They indeed are. My lady always sleeps with her head on my pillow😍
I have 4 Miniature Dachshunds. I’m alone. All of my dogs sleep with me and each has their place on the bed around me.

My 9 year old female 60 pound German Shepherd sleeps with me whenever she wants to. She knows her place and it works for both of us. I love it, I wouldn’t want it any other way. Any dog Ive had has always been welcome in my bed.
Lol...We have 2 GS. Gets a bit crowded. One always gets off the bed at some point. Wouldn't have it any other way
My dog won't sleep with me at night, but through the day, and we have a nice rest, he will be with me. At night, he is laying under my office table on a big cushion. And in the morning he jumps into bed for saying good morning. They are such sweeties.
I always sleep with animals since I’ve been younger, will not change a thing ❤!

My daughter is a cancer survivor. She got her service dog when she was a year into treatment. Aside from sleeping with her, we also let her run around in the yard and play the dirt, both were things unheard-of by most leukemia families. 2 years post treatment our HemOnc commented she would love to see a study done on immunocomprimised kids and owning dogs/good old outdoor dirt Vs. kids kept "in a bubble" our daughter was one of the helthiest they had treated and the kids that tolerated treatment best and were sick the least had cats or dogs.
What an inspiring journey your daughter has been on, and how wonderful that her service dog played such an important role in her treatment and recovery. It’s heartwarming to see how a furry friend, combined with some outdoor play, can bring so much joy and resilience. Your story beautifully highlights the positive impact of having pets and fresh air, even when facing tough challenges. Sending lots of love to your daughter and her incredible service dog. 🐾💪

Pappi, yellow lab husky mix, not only will burrow under the covers when I come to bed but will also sleep on my pillow with me. My amstaff sleeps on his own bed inside my room about 10% of the time and 90% with me in my bed. His choice. I stopped using the crate long ago, definitely not comfortable for him. Since I stopped using the crate, we have a really stronger bond…a lot of trust both ways. Trust is definitely stronger than any other method to having a strong and troublefree relstionship with your dog.
This is so true about her breathing matching up to mine. Sometimes she lays her head on my neck so her nose was so close I could feel her breath on my face. I never notice it when she moves the only time I do notice her is when I turn over and she climbs across me so she ends up behind me she's always at my back!
My dog absolutely must be under the covers. Even if it's too hot and I don't want to be under a blanket, she won't let me sleep unless I get under a blanket with her. She likes to use my arm as a pillow, so I have to make sure there's a pillow under my hand to keep my arm bent so she doesn't hyper-extend my elbow during the night. She's a bit spoiled.
Truly mans best friend.LOVE comes in different forms. I would not trade my buddy for anything, thank you GOD.🙏
Hello from Argentina, I love to sleep with my GS/border Collie mix "Vida", (Spanish word that means "Life").
She also has her bed on the floor next to my bed.
Actually I FEEL uneasy if she's not sleeping near me...(she likes the fresh air so she snoozes on the balcony sometimes), but after a while, she comes next to me.
Hola! It sounds like you and Vida share a beautiful bond. 🌟 It's lovely that she has her own bed nearby but also snuggles up with you when she feels like it. Give Vida an extra hug! 🐾
My dog waits until he thinks I'm asleep, then he hops off the bed on to the floor where he sleeps the rest of the night.
I’ve visited a friend and ended up snuggled with two cane corsos and a cat on a twin bed. I’m also currently in my bed with my dog next to me. Wouldn’t have it any other way.
I have 4 labs,,,, 2 of them sleep on the bed at night, sometimes only 1 but in my case, alergies and the itchies are commonplace. We just learn to live with it.
Our pitbull terrier did something clever when he slept with me. He woke up like he had a bad dream, leapt off the bed, and bumped into Mr dresser. I sat up to make sure he was okay, unintentionally leaving my pillow free. He leapt back up, and laid on my pillow. Seeing him there, I couldn't push him off. That was years ago, and died of arthritis. Technically, hr was my brother's dog, but fell in love with me. When he got him, and found out it was a pitbull, I was a bit uneasy. We bonded quick, especially when he moved back in with us, and became inseparable.
What a clever pup! It's amazing how our furry friends find ways to snuggle into our hearts-and pillows! Your pitbull knew he had a special spot with you. Losing him must have been tough, but those sweet memories of his clever little tricks will always bring a smile. 💖🐾
@@Smelly-Belly clever, but not always brilliant. I remember walking him, and Lance, our dog, was distracted by a neighbor's dog barking. I kept warning him of the car parked in front of him. Lance walked right into it. He kept looking at me, and I pointed out how often I warned him. Quite a funny moment I won't forget.
My chihuahua is such a sweetie and only wakes me and the wife up if she is having a seizure:( since we got her after like 3 owners we have kept her on consistent meds and CBD and she doesnt have them nearly as often but i love my little snuggle bug❤
I am my dogs bed. When she is ready for bed she will whine and cry and yell until i lay down so she csn lay across me. She isnt a small dog. English bulldog. I love her ao much. I have never been attached to a dog like i have her. Since i brought her home when she was a baby puppy
My chihuahua sleeps good until morning where she stomps her paws and wants me up. Getting up is so hard with my depression but she makes sure i get up.
