  • In today's video we talk about Stellantis sales being down 21 percent across the board. This is an indication that earnings are going to be a disaster. With all the warranty issues and more Stellantis is in trouble, and there's one person making these decisions to blame, Carlos Tavares.

I remember in the 60s and 70s . Fiats were trash. They still are and now they’ve turned Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, and Ram into trash. If you buy any of them now. You are stupid.

The other problem driving down Stellantis sales, besides the quality issues, is all the vehicles being so overpriced. 85K plus for Ram trucks and Jeeps, f*** out here with that nonsense.

We are in a recession rates are high along with inflation and price gouging across the board this is what you get everyone is down not just Stellantis people have pulled back on non essential car purchases because they can’t afford anything else

inflation has hit most Americans hard. Inflation is normally 2-3 percent it’s currently around 3.4% but because it’s cumulative prices are still higher and will only continue to increase unless consumers decide to stop buying

I don't believe its only 21% 🙃. They are not selling ANYTHING and have been in that state for a while. Maybe propped up by fleet sales or something but real consumers are turned off.

The real number is 40%… they tweaked the numbers by moving vehicles around as loaner cars and shit like that. Trust me it’s really 40%. Every CDJR dealers that I know has hundreds of cars sitting on their lots that haven’t moved in two years. I monitor two of them that I buy from on a daily basis. And it’s bad….

Not to mention, a lot of dealers are “punching in” their old stock. They just pay them off, and register them, making them effectively used cars. This has to be apart of it as well..

Who would buy Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, RAM with the existing technical/quality issues and not being able to use V8 Internal combustion engines in those vehicles ? I think C D J R as we know it will vanish and has no value/reward to potential buyers.

The average transaction prices are at a all time high...lower sales but more profit per unit, exp. selling $100,000 SUV,s = large profits. Selling over 1 million per yr in the USA is still great if you can make big profits per unit.

Meh. I don't care. Damage is done and will take decades to recover, if at all. As one who buys and keeps cars for more than 10 years at a time I see no reason to invest in any product that this company makes as I have no idea if it will be supported in the lifetime that I own the vehicle.
Shame, really, I was looking forward to the Daytona EV as an around-town runabout. But there's no way I could ever trust it to get me from point A to point B when I need it to for 10 years and expect someone to be able to keep it running that long.
No amount of buying anything will save them, or your hostile stock takeover attempt because that gives Tavares and excuse to the board that you ran interference. Then he can say. "It's not my fault."
Nope, when a kid is learning how to walk, sometimes you have to make them learn their lessons the hard way.
    Oh well.

Stellantis will simply do a slow or fast death march. Stellantis has about $50B in cash and isn't going broke. Production gets cut to meet the reduced demand. A 20% decrease in sales is not the end of the world. If you start seeing a 50% or more decrease in sales then you might send off some alarm bells at Stellantis HQ.
