The torpedoes don't go 'right underneath' the ships, they literally go _through_ them. You can see this in a couple of places in the background replays.
This whole debacle is literally that one scene in the 1st Sonic the Hedgehog movie: "How are you not dead?" "I have no idea!".
Deep waters vs normal torps. They likely fucked up these mechanics, as well.
Ahhh, the Zombie bug. WG always states that "everything works as intended".
Everything always works as coded/programmed. That's a fact. Intended is a completely different matter. Misinformation/disinformation at work, even in the games we play. Be very careful, people.
@@TheChonaman It is well known that the phrase "everything works as intended" is a joke. Propagated be WG stating this very statement after a known bug was found in the game. After that, this statement has been a long running joke for several years now. I am aware of the coding problems and difficulties WG faces with an old engine. WG did, however, hot fixed the Zombie bug within 48 hours. So, take the long running joke however you wish.
@@jayedgar2373 Thanks for your thoughtful comment. "The beatings will continue until morale improves." This is my summation. I am grateful that WOWS was presented to us as a free game. Don't get me wrong. But it is a profitable enterprise, and they have really fucked up certain things, and that make it far less enjoyable. I have dumped a few $100s into the enterprise, so it is not free to me. I have supported it.

Flamu yesterday: You can take special Clan Battle consumables in random battles and abuse smoke planes and mines for free

There wasnt a hotfix not really, they just turned off clan battles and its solved, since you need to get in a division and then change battle type you got to keep the consumable.

There was a hugely sus video a few months ago on either here or Potato's channel with a Columbo or Lepanto (cant remember), where the user would 'wiggle' the turrets everytime he fired and the salvoes were all SUPER accurate regardless of range. Then the two times he didnt 'wiggle' it went back to normal Italian BB accuracy.
I am pretty sure it was this channel.

Bugs are in everything, in every software piece including games.
Bugs are unavoidable, unfortunately.
We just sometimes see some of them like in this case but most of them just seat there silently and wait for their chance to pop-up :)
Even in theory it's impossible to find every possible bug.
There is a bug I found on the last season of BB brawl. People sail to the edge of the map and sail straight as if they are still moving forward. When people do this, the secondaries are targeting where the player should be going, making them effectively untargetable, surprise surprise every shell missed, and over shot. I caught it on record And reported the player as griefing. This player was in an Atlantico for cring out loud, a ship with already Cracked secondaries on brawl, doing 8k damage every 3 seconds because of the secondary boosts in BB brawl. 😒
I think this bug proves, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that this game needs a major update. The game engine is over a decade old at this point. They really need to just re-release the game. Give it better mechanics, better operating system, better tick rate.
IMHO: as in real life, some folks are always looking for exploits/cheats/hacks/work-arounds, and have no moral concerns about how these effect other people.
this is true in gaming as well, quite literally every game I've played has had several. When a dev team & testers are focused on ensuring the game doesn't break, they aren't necessarily thinking like a "hacker". Stability ~vs~ Security, isn't the primary focus for testing.
don't confuse this with, "making excuses", it's not. simply a statement of fact. imagine, if you will, actual human-beings working on these things. Which, it seems, everyone else forgets, while no one speaks up. it's a huge thing "these days".
anyway, that being said, keep in mind that many game companies simply ignore customers & tell them it will be "fixed" in the next patch. WG actively & quickly responded to their community, almost instantly.
I only wish we could get that kind of action from Paradox or Blizzard... so enjoy the "free to play" game that we all love to hate...
What is most astonishing to me is the response of WG to this bug and how they frased the warning they issued... "We recommend to not use this exploit, as doing so CAN result in sanction..." CAN??? Seriously? I bet they will check how much money all the exploiters spent in the game and they will se IF they ban them or not. An exploit of a bug this important should be an automatic fkn ban, wtf is "CAN"... Like Flamu said, it should be you used it, you are banned, PERIOD
I interpret it as they might cut someone slack that did it once or twice, because someone did have to accidentally do this in the first place right? But someone who abused it multiple times will get the ban hammer

Im tied in close to a couple of Typhoon/Hurricane clans and the most disgusting part of this video is seeing members of these upper level clans abusing this exploit. These are already people that are much better than average and now they go in and intentionally abuse this mechanic. Thankfully the one Im directly involved in has removed and blacklisted the players found to be abusing this bug.
Actually, they aren't all that much better... the 3 unicorns in my clan, only play the strongest ships in lower tiers with all flags and in 3 man divisions to keep those stats.
Strip away all of those advantages, and it's not much in it.
Very cool of Mister SecondAmendment to inform everyone that he is not cheating it is just a bug while abusing the shit out of it in two games

I think the invicibility bug might be correlated with the invicibility consumable that was appear in pinata hunt months ago. It's surprising that, based on this assumption, they did not hardcoded all ships to be destroyed once HP reaches zero.
Odd that ships main and secondary shells can hit the hack ships but not the torps. I wonder if there was a game where if the hack ship was the only red ship left, if the game ends and gives the win to the green team.
The amount of people continuing to shoot the 0 HP glitched enemy is the most astounding thing in this video.

The patch that they released earlier today didn't fix it - you can still use it in co-op battles. That and the railgun bug from mid-2022 is back.
The first time i heard about this was i think yesterday in statsbloke’s discord, but not actually seen it. Reminds me of that other bug where your ship would die, and break in half, yet the front half of the ship would still keep sailing around, and you could control it. I’ve seen that at least once.
I remember the latest fun bug/ stealth buff to German BCs on their release (and Kremlin), the secondaries and torpedoes being unkillable. The timing was definitely suspicious.
Aiming bugs have been around for so long and they "fix" them with more pasta code instead.
I had a zombie Marceau in a game. On my team. It confused the red team, but it looked to me like the Marceau was out of the game BUT not sinking and the health bar didn’t go away. It just said 0/whatever and the ship just stayed in one place not doing anything. But I don’t know, it could have been shooting and I just didn’t see it. After the game I got all the economic rewards.
It was only one game I saw this in though. I’m sure players did use the exploit, but I do not think it was super common. I never used it, it’s not worth possibly losing my 430+ ships in port.
It took WG three months or more to find and fully fix the 'main guns not firing / map click' bug last year. Who would have ever thought working guns was important to a naval combat game.

this is completely entirely unrelated but how do i get blue economic buffs? i only have 30 blue credit buffs and i really need more because i only have 5m credits at the moment.
Wait a minute...this happened to me on my first game last night, I was using my Agir and everything was going quite well doing a lot of damage and the game ended and I got kicked out no points nothing and it was like I had not played at all. I was on coop and had not gone to any clan battles ( I don't play Random or clan battles) I think this bug goes a little farther then they are letting on.
IS there a chance this was also posible in Piniata but none figure it out?
Looks like they left a play tester mode still in the release version. They'll probably disable it in due course.
I think I saw a side issue of this.... I put 4 torps into a BB (at 100% health) and they did 0 damage
marceau get reduced to 0 health, massicars more ships, refused to elaborate further

i was in the game when this secondamendment guy was in the slava i was a schleiffen on the enemy team and it was the first time id seen this and it was so lame
oh and yeah i didnt gain anything from that game because i was grinding dockyard missions and wasted like a decent potential damage match

I gotta say, to know there's the bug is one thing, but to use it in game, is another. That's just a lowlife move by the same people who would use hacks if they could get away with it. It's just the gaming version of DEI - Didn't Earn It.

Bah sanctions what's the point of playing the game anymore?? Games today are either a complete wipe as you watch in frustration as your team plays like they have no idea what they're doing, or the reds do the same as you wipe them easily, after a profile check shows they have 70games in total WOW and 40 of those are in that ship type WOW WOW, not that WGing sell people high end ships...

I was in this match (titsonabull). It was hilarious, I unloaded 3 salvos on him and I never even hit him. Was pissed at first then realized what was going on and we all laughed most of the time!

It would be funny if this happened on both teams at the same time, two immortal ships that can’t do anything to each other
Start by selecting your ship, go to clan battles, set up your clan agter you srlect your special buff, switch to random battles join the random battle and just before your about to die, activate that clan buff that you shouldnt actually have, you will become 0 health and on fire but impervious to all damage including ramming. These players have to do several things in order for the zombie exploit to work that are deliberate and cannot accidentally be done. As for the xp and credited etc, i think it only affects the service cost to them but stats, ribbons, awards etc are still given, meaning they send a zombie ship out for no cost and reap the rewards of a guaranteed win whilst everone else has to pay for thier ship being used in the game and guaranteed lose rewards including potential hits, citidels, floods, fires, destroyed etc. So I have no sympathy for players using the zombie exploit because MAYBE they dont get any credits

Anyone think this might be a deliberate policy from WG? A 'bug' they can fix in under two days from a standing start. Also a 'bug' which didn't happen when we had Pinata in game, which allowed them to test all the aspects of support consumables including switching between battle modes with the same ship. The cynic might observe that something like this takes all the attention away from the basic fact that they are introducing support consumables into clan battles. This
Continued... Is a potentially very controversial thing. Especially having a support consumable which makes you immune to damage in clan battle mode.
I would guess this bug was already present before, but it wasn't caught. There is a specific sequence required to trigger them with divisions, and there would be nobody switching modes like this before.
Plus the hotfix is just removing a mode from the game, pretty quick to do.

That would be so cool if that happened early match and you could sail into the enemy team torping and burning everybody.

The programmers/sysops play in game all the time with these types of hacks, not this obvious of course. This has been going on from the start of the game over 8 years ago. Like I said, not this obvious.

It's a bug if it can be forced by doing a set of steps. WG should punish themselves and not the one exploiting a bug. FIX it instead of punishing smart players.
