This is also a lesson for new players for battleship troll dispersion. Even when you do everything right and your opponent everything wrong, there is still a significant chance your shells will go everywhere but the target and even if they DO land RNG can still say "nope, all over pens". Just the way the game is nowadays.
This level of rng will be the reason i rage quit before i complete a bureau project😂
Your break-down in the immediate moment is teaching me more than I have learned from other videos, thanks!
Great vid Peek. I'll be sure to direct people to your channel who I see need it.
An amazing tribute to your knowledge and hope players learn 🙏 thank you
I don't know who needs to hear this, but probably the most important thing in battleships is to SPREAD OUT
The more battleships your team has spread out the more angles they have on the enemy
Yes, but one could argue that ships being close have good aa defence.
@5orgen51 I agree with you both. Both good points, pros and cons...
Well, for the 1st two weeks of WOWSLs play, I used only the cruiser class. I watched this video and that changed. I picked up the Wyoming...applied what I learned from this video and fell more in LOVE with this game.
Subbed, been looking for recent up to date content on how to play good.
You explain it realy well too.
Good Luck improving the player-base. Had a game where all enemies killed at the 9:30 minute mark. Something to consider delving into once the basic ship-types are done is doing commander/perk combinations for general ships - and of course meme builds.
ur tutorials make a difference, i definitely improved and started landing cits and dev strikes consistantly; but this game updates things and then half my shots miss with peerfect dispersion and grouping. ive learned to stagger shots at turning ships and my s hells land thru there superstructure and hit there rear cit for a dev strike. Keep it up peek.
Agreesd
While I totally appreciate your advice and it's actually very helpful. I've often found games like W.O.W have a algorithm in them that puts you in a certain group of players for the day. One day I'm getting on a ton of winning teams and I'm accurate the next day without changing my aiming style or ship parameters I can't hit anything with the same accuracy as the day before and I can't get on a winning team to save my life 😂.
SOB! Wrong chat😂
Love that paint job on the Japanese battleship
Watching to learn and improve my gameplay
Grtz from Belgium thanks for the info soaked it up like a sponge
Thanks for the video.
Thank you for continuing to try an help the awful player base.
Keep it up peek!!
Thank you man. I started 4 months ago. i have a ways to go before im sick of it. your great though sir. thanks!!!
Been playing since July of this year, and although I watched the older tutorials when I first started playing, these new ones have refreshed my memory a bit. Really wish some of my teammates would watch them too especially in the lower tier gameplay when I'm grinding out tech trees.
Send them to people!
Thanks bro🙏
That intro was priceless actor that plays peek
This is gold. Since you show me the propulsion mode is better rather than other recommended by potates, im 100 % here
Good stuff, that KGV dispersion hurt my soul.
Cheers !

I know this is probably old news but is there anyway you can do a how to on the North Carolina or do you have a video that you've done already. I tried scrolling and searching your videos. I just recently acquired the N. Carolina and I've been having difficulty staying alive. I've watched some of your videos and I've improved my matches and would love a more detailed video on that ship. Thank you and I appreciate what your doing. It has definitely helped me.
You don’t get the shots you want because you aim and fire to make the boat look cool with the overview mode
that thumbnail is so good
Secondaries are great if you can get on their non gun side. Like juke them into having their guns pointed the wrong way. Then they can get pens into their guns.
Also Duke of York is a rad fire starter 😊
Could you please post the step by step turtorial for firing torepedos and using a pc keyboard layout.
Nice vid many thanks, is it me or dose everyone end up in matches with two tiers above them when they run super boosters and end up in same tier matches with hi scores when no boosters left?
This also grinds my gears.. it’s the one reason why I horde all my super boosters most of the time bc it feels like they go to waste when matching up against other players two tiers above
Tips on beating sonar/radar dds in boats like fletcher that don’t have any of that would be nice
Love it. Thanks for making this variety of content. The community needs it. They are so bad at the game.
And i suppose you started off a complete pro
I usually like to play the ranger.
Haircut carrier, First thing I do is I loiter over the enemy area. To give everybody a good idea where buddy says., The first time I play in usually takes minute midnight for me to be chosen. But after that, it's only like, 2 seconds, LOL. I'm only been playing the game for like two weeks
Anybody else love when playing as a destroyer class cutting to the extreme right or left depending on starting map location and just creeping on cruisers and low tier battleships? Gives me a serious dopamine rush when I can cut over on their exposed side where their main turrents aren’t pointing and shooting out a wide torpedo spread then activating engine boost and getting the fuck outta there
Sound advice. Longtime Legends player here. No claims to brilliance, just hold my own.
Easy to be wise after the event, I know. But in that last endgame, I probably would have tried to ram that DD. Any damage taken would be inconsequential compared to what his torps could do otherwise. A lot of players tend to sneer at ramming as a tactic, and I don't often use it myself but, in a BB versus DD knifefight, it can be the BB's best move.
Shit if it's a close match, And I can't get off a shot because of reload, and I'm already low HP and on fire. I'll be damned if I don't take the nearest OP out with me with a ram. A kill is a kill.
Ah yes, a true cultured Ram Enjoyer....Eye of An Eye
I feel for you. Stuck in your own niche.
The matches you post don't have sky cancer present. I always get planes spotting me from space, and the HE cruisers just shoot n scoot, so i can't hit back
War gaming should make these mandatory to watch
Another tip for learning to play battleships: you almost never want to go bow on to a group of ships even if they can’t overmatch your nose. You always want to have a good escape route and putting yourself in that position doesn’t offer one, and you’re more prone to being torpedoed or HE spammed by the other team.
For BBs you might want to Keep a distance and salvo em from afar. Remember BBs have the longest range than other classes use that to advantage. Keep other BBs on your Gun range limit and always have An escape route. Unless you are a German bb with a Very good secondary
Im a BB main. Can confirm they are my favorite. Just wish the guns were more trustworthy
Love this game immensely because of being prior navy and loving naval warships history but I am pretty pissed that I grind my ass off trying to get the USS Alabama for 4 years and still not even close to getting it. It also pisses me off that I can’t just purchase it in the store. Same with KMS Bismarck
Make a how to video for how to fix dispersion on battleships, also 13:48 is usually how every one of my matches go while the other team gets the constant win, my friendlys are not doing jack shit and they keep dying too quickly.
Im really close to giving up on BB's. I hope and pray for a 5k hit and then pray again that i only get hit for 20k from each opponent salvo. Idk what im doing wrong lately but its frustrating as f.
I have played the pc game since Alpha. Played legends since release.
The Yamato does not have lots of armour at all in practice. It is the most heavily punished ship for poor positioning.
For NOOB friendly language the Yamato is the easiest to citadel BB in the game and you will be heavily punished to the point it feels like you have no armour.
MORE HOW TO !!
Bad players are now given plot armor so that you only get a single citadel per salvo and no more dev strikes unless using IJN torpedoes
how do you have multiple languages enabled?
How to BB:
1- position/angle
2- RNG on broadsides
This first mino is legit the luckiest cruiser ive ever seen, full broadside to a Yamato less than 8km away, 2 overpen.
What is your commander set up on your king george?
Al something. It’s at the end of the video.
@@letumpeek nelson yea i saw it thx
4:52 only threat? Are you forgetting about the extremely stealthy destroyers that are impossible to spot, they could be anywhere on that side of the map and nobody would see them. Your response to this will decide whether you earn another sub or not.
how do you know your not spoted?
I just got AL Nelson last month and all i can say is that commander makes all british BB's unaccurate. Even in a Nelson i rarely hit more then 3 out of 9 guns.
Interesting I run AL Nelson on my Nelson and it’s very accurate. She is an accuracy commander.
Im so down for these remakes..
The World of crumbships.
and it always looked so obvious.... but people supposuly experienced in the game preffered the stering or ruther shift.
You had one issue with using that back turret of the Yamato playing against a GK at close range. You have a cheek armor that leads straight into a citadel, he coulda punched through that cus minimum size those GK guns are still 16" guns at the end of the day. If he aimed at your cheek right in front of your first turret then you probably would've lost a lot of hp or even worse, died there cus you gave the angle to use your third turret, regardless of how weakened the GK was when he came around.
Nah. Not at that angle. More is required.
Well then I guess I'm just horribly unlucky all the time. I've seen a 15" round citadel me at that very same angle both in legends as well as in PC, a GK would have it easier since the caliber is higher.
First time playong in 2 weeis had a 206k match in borgogne whivh is not heard of
Why dont you ever use the plane on flat broadside shots
like on that maine first shot of te video
I still can't tell whether he plays it that much.
Not bad information, but you could condense this video to 10% of the length and I think more new players would be able to process the information - plus many people just wont sit through a video this long and rambling
You gotta play bad on purpose for a few game, then play well and it will be like you got a super star from Mario Bros.!
So....is it safe to assume you do not play all that much anymore?
Should have played Georgia
well..... Saturdays video might disagree lol
See you got 5 devstrike kraken on your stream. Nice!
What if you don’t play battle ships should I still learn these tactics?
You stopped playing?
@@letumpeek I do Just not battle ships. Cause know one ever spots.
Dispersion has felt like complete shit the past week
I don't think I need these tips being a 4 year player and all, but I'm glad they are out for the new players. Hopefully my next blue team is better thanks to you. Good day to you peek. (P.s. could do without the music. Is distracting)
That’s why it’s my gift to the players. Hopefully we can teach some of the new guys some stuff to make matches better.
@@letumpeek gotcha. Respect. Have a good day bro. Appreciate your videos for helping keep the game I love alive.
Trash comment...pointless!!! The nerve of people!!!
Seriously you starting with legendary tear straight away?
Yeah, irl the Iowas were probably the best/most advanced overall battleships ever built, not the most powerful, but best overall. In the game (and irl) Yamato probably has the most raw power but there are arguably better battleships.
No there really isn't...
@@Ranzoe813 You think Yamato is the best bb in wowsl?
@@177SCmaro i do
@@Ranzoe813
Well maybe. I can see an argument for that but Yamato is a pretty blunt instrument. Not to mention trolly af sometimes.
Lenin is better than Yamato in legends.
Am 17 years old and honestly am so surprised by how dumb people ok I have done stupid things too I have been dev strikes in cruisers in BBs by DDs but I help my team when I can I always shoot DDs while I am in BBs unless they are over 13km when there is a BBs and a cruiser and our DDs is close to them I shoot the cruiser because it's his threat but for some damn reason I rarely have DDs helping me they don't spot other DDs nor the are good to beat them ? Come on
Only one bad thing about these videos is you’re making all the paid actors go away😂
Montana is better that Yamato.
Red team this video is not for you.
The Iowa sucks. I do better with the New Mexico or Colorado
just a fake game
