I got this device in the mail today thanks to your recommendation and this handy vid. Thank you!
I did have my AUX activated via Tech2, cost like 50 bucks.. I had run a wire into the armrest with a bluetooth receiver but it had to be recharged all the time and it didn't autoconnect so I'm looking forward to this better set up.

I went with A Kenwood DIN radio in the old CD player spot, An "O CAN" bypass from etadyne industries took care of the fiber optic bypass basically fixing the loop break when any piece of the stereo is removed. Bluetooth,Alexa,Spotify all at my fingertips now and can go back to stock without anyone ever knowing this '04' 9-3 Linear ever had 2-15" subs ,a huge 5/ch amp and aftermarket speakers in it (well, maybe the small hole in the drink holder panel where the bass knob is and door mounted Alpine tweeters--lol.) BUT all that said--I'LL NEVER be selling it (nor my '01' 9-5 aero) This video would be very helpful for others not wanting to spend an entire day running wiring like I did though!!! Hi Henrik, I'm Fernando.
      I Like your Saab videos.
      I have a few questions:
I have a Saab 93-2003 Vector 2.0T. Do you sell this Bluetooth device? Or how can I get It?
My Head Unit doesn't have a "Multimedia" ir AUX programmed in the stereo, do I have to program it with Tech II?.
My other Question Is the "Check Engine" light turned on and I scanned the car and send the "P0546" code, wich is "Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor" (Circuit High, Bank 1 Sensor 1), Do you know if I have to replace just that sensor? Or might be another thing?
      Best Regards from México.

    • @vtr0104
      @vtr0104 Před 3 lety

@@shikafer I know it might be late, but thought I'd reply anyway. The AUX needs to be programmed before, otherwise the connector being plugged in might actually disable the radio as well. After that you can run this device or an AUX kit if you have one.
For the Error, that sounds like one of the O2 sensors is dead or faulty. Bank 1 always shows for the 4-cylinders (I have the same engine, the B207L), Sensor 1 should be the one immediately after the turbo heat-shield. You can see it sticking out near the coolant reservoir, towards the firewall.
That one should be easier to replace, on mine, the other one, on the exhaust under the car, failed 3 times in 9 years since I've had the car, and it's annoying to replace...

I was very sceptic to Fm transmitters, tryied some, but then i found the Xiaomi Roidmi 3s and in 9-5 ‘06 with Denso works really good. Comparing sound between cd and bt fm trans is relatively without great noise hum or fm white noise and tone quality is also verz acceptable, for example the noises from outside of the car are much worse. Verz inexpensive soulution, looks like usb charger (got it in black so it fits interior), provides quick charging and also ambient lighting is adjustable

It's the first time i see this video. There's lot of discussion about sound quality bluetooth vs cable. Actually it's the same discussion wifi vs internet cable. IMHO it depends on the stability of the signal and bluetooth, but also wifi is not a very stable connection. I myself prefer the stable quality of a Audioquest AUX cable and the sound quality with my ICM3, OEM fitted Pioneer speakers with OEM Pioneer subwoofer in the rear + extra Ribbon tweeters with home made x-over, is excellent. Even the centerspeaker is the same. I added some Dacron.
I don't have to change the speakers or use a bluetooth connection.

Great work, thanks. A quick question, I went to the Saab Plus website and it said to check if Aux is enabled to push the CD button on the head unit twice and Aux should show up. When I do that I get the same screen as when I click through to use my Aux input that says shows:
    Play
    Change Media
    Program Type
I assume this means that I have Aux enabled. Am I correct in this?
PS I removed the stock dash 3.5" speaker and tweeter and installed a set of Infinity 3.5" 2 way speakers. The difference was incredible. Not only in sound quality, but volume also. The difference was so significant that I had to change the rear 3.5" side speakers the same way to balance out the sound without having my fader dialed almost entirely to the rear.
