Ehh, they're not really accurate. Iroh is good. Katara and Sokka are light colored Inuit Aang is East Asian/Tibetan Suki is Japanese Zuko and his family are Chinese
If like a comedic spinoff of this happens, I would die to see like, Adam Sandler or Owen Wilson as bumi or something like that 😂 I feel like Sandler could nail the voice tho
This looks like some pretty splid casting, going with fresh faces for the young characters, and experienced well-known actors for older characters worked well in things like Harry Potter and Stranger Things, hopefully it'll work for this show. I'm cautiously optimistic about this
Not really their only 3 years apart while as aang and Katara in the cartoon show are just 2 years apart. Katara and aang don’t really get together until season 3 cause aang just has a crush season 1 and 2 on Katara and she only sees him as a younger brother.
@@rzuue yeah but remember this is season 1 where the romance is more one sided they dont get together until season 3 and by the time they film that (if the show isnt cancelled) the actors will be older and the age dif prolly wont seem as significant
@@eiden5778 that is true if the show takes quite a few years (which wouldn’t be unlikely, we just can’t tell yet). I have this Aang toy and now it's Gordon. He was so at the place! Good job, custing, overall. Great vfx. The series came out very captivating, emotional, great fights with elements bending. It's a win.
@@IzzyQueen12 Odd tho, since the scene with Bumi vs. Aang (ep. 3 "Return to Omashu") from the trailer was in Book 2 along with the scene with Suki/Kyoshi Warriors (ep.5 "Avatar Day"), which is after that that's when they start to meet Toph (ep. 6) . So I guess they'll stop at there, and start of season 2 with the "Blind Bandit" episode. Or I could be wrong that they'll only show the the adapted episode of Book 1 but they've already filmed parts of Book 2, but haven't started filming the second part of it maybe because they'te still casting for Toph.
@@dinglemccringleberry9019 yeah there are events in S1 that should've happened way later but also I think its because they have to adjust things to fit the season since they just made 8 episodes for S1. I imagine making it exactly as the animation/book would be tricky for live action, so changes and tweaks are bound to happen. Not to mention there are many other factors that would impact the production, like for a simple example, the main actors' real life growth (speaking of Gordon/Aang especially) that will impact the story (I heard they'll make a few changes as well in the timeline for S2 and S3 later). Well, there are downsides and upsides to animation turns into live action (and vice versa), but hey at least as long as they're enjoyable i guess it's okay in the end-maybe it's best to think of the animation and live action as two "separate" entities based on one source, i guess?
The casting looks spot on! Tho I am bit not convinced with Zuko's but I will wait for trailer. Netflix seems to be putting lot of money in animation these yrs. One Piece is also getting adapted. Hmmm...I am seeing a strategy here
The show is pretty good. Some fans/seems like all of them think the show should be an exact replica of the show. That rarely happens & would be boring. Maria Zhang as Suki is 10/10. Great cast overall.

10/10 because she is HOT and PRETTY

I can't believe the cabbage man won't be in the series. To this day he is a walking legend.
