Might be his best album from top to bottom . That first CMW album slap to .

Menace to Society is a classic. This movie as well as Colors, and Boys in the Hood was my 1st introduction to Southern California gang politics. I was always a fan of MC Eiht, Dj Quik, Snoop, and other artist out of Southern California but Menace put a visual to what I was hearing artists rap about out of Southern California specifically the gangs and the politics of it. The movie was well written and directed. I hate obviously that 2PAC had the fallen out with the Hughes Brothers as I think 2PAC would have been great in whatever role he had.
I hear what you saying but I didn’t see menace as a gang politics type movie, there’s really no gangs in menace yeah A Wax might have been a Crip but the gang aspect was not really emphasized, I saw it as like homies growing up in the hood type of thing and the stuff that happens in that environment
@@thabomboneni2994it was. O dog caine and wax was crips. Dudes they killed at the burger shop were bloods. They just didn’t put it out there.
Colors always get over looked
@thabomboneni2994 Probably should be phrased differently, but all those movies speaking for myself, whether menace, colors, or Boyz in the hood, provided a visual of what was being rapped about. Whether it be gangs, street politics, senseless violence, police brutality, inner city, or other issues. I didn't grow up in the inner city or lower socioeconomic environment. My background was upper middle class, largely caucasian affluent community. So, to hear rappers like MC Eiht or DJ Quik speak on something was different as well as seeing it portrayed on screen. But as someone who is active in my community and serves it. I see the difference between my Era of 1990s and the current era.
@Ms.A.Matthews415+ What city did you grow up in back then ??

The black cop said "Rollin 60s" & the boy in the classroom said "Crenshaw Mafia". That's as close as you got in "Boyz in the Hood". But Doughboy (Trey & Ricky) were supposed to be 60's neighborhood and Ferris & his gang were Jungle Bloods
Ferris & Gang Em Was WSCMG104str Because That Was Around The Time 60’s And The Mafia’s Were Feuding Heavy…So You’re Correct That’s Why The Cop Said That, John Singleton🕊️Really Implemented Authentic Beef During That Time.

America's Most Wanted was a TV show on FOX back in the day. It was a weekly series hosted by John Walsh.
Salute to EightHype and T.Turner. I just got out of high school when this classic iconic movie hit. I was just put on to Comptons Most Wanted when this movie hit, also not enuff gratitude I can express for these guys for paving the way. Thank you both so much.
He’s right, they never said blood or crip in Boyz in the hood but the bloods did call Cube and his homies Crabz Lol
The way Caine counted his money, checked his beeper, influenced me. Lol This movie raised me.

I beg 2 differ EIHt on Boyz n da Hood. Go to scene where they on the shaw and Cube was like Do we got a problem? They was saying all kinds of disrespectful shid

They did have to say crip or blood we had a understanding what everybody was
Shoulda called the awax boiiii 😂😂
We use to ditch Crenshaw high everyday and watch this movie in West Hollywood 😂😂 I'm talking about everyday.
It's actually dope to hear from Eiht after all this time, consistanly. He still says he didn't know his own impact but that's kind of wild. He's genuine in a way some artists of the time couldn't have been. All these years even.
Just Doughboy at the end talking to Trey, said “yo cuzz…”
My top five hood movies of all time. “Menace to Society “. Me being the Author of “ Brotherly Hate “, by Nenneth Lee Holder, I pray for the day it become as successful as this
I knew Menace ll Society was going to be a classic, the movie was good plus the soundtrack held it's own without a Death Row artist.

Ik Mc Eiht Gets Tired Of The Menace II Society Interviews 😅😅
Somebody dig up the Americas Most Wanted clip. I'm curious lol
Eiht on point with that breakdown. If they was claimin' sets in Menace, shit probly woulda fractured the momentum of the movie. It's probly hard to imagine now, but in '93, you wasn't gettin' on no silver screen throwin' up hoods without concrete consequences. Matter fact, you probly wasn't even watchin' the movie unless your hood was bein' represented in the movie, and that kinda dynamic woulda crippled the foundation of any commercial product.
I think that's kinda why NWA wore black, as it was a neutral color. They wanted to maximize sales so they played it down the middle.
@@GhostRider-870 Precisely. Yellin' Compton was more than risky enough, let alone standin' on stage screamin' Kelly Park Crip. Aside from the beef it woulda sparked, it woulda completely cut them off from the support of any hood that wasn't down with the hoods bein' repped on stage, and them mixtapes woulda still been in Dre's trunk to this day.
@DJHubcap True words fam. One of the things I didn't like about the Straight Outta Compton movie was that they had them rocking the Raiders' gear from the beginning. They didn't start wearing that until like right before Eazy Duz It dropped. They were dressing all different before that. Still good music tho'!

The Best Hood Moives Is Meance To Society Boyz in The Hood Juice South Central Baby Boy
1)I looked it up & Tyrin’s memory isn’t very great. He played a character named Charlie Green on “America’s Most Wanted” who was initiated, & then violated, into/outta a Crip gang. It’s the only credit he has for that show so I don’t know where he played a “Blood,” but it wasn’t on “AMW.”
2)The reason they stayed away from naming Crips/Bloods in general, let alone any individual sets, WAS mainly due to “Colors.” That movie extremely upset Blood members because it made them look week, as if they were inferior to Crips. Roccet is a Crip terminator, slaughtering & terrifying Bloods while Hi-Top is selling drugs TO young Crips while HIDING his affiliation. Roccet is idolized by all the Crips while Hi-Top gets violated BY fellow Bloods in jail FOR selling to Crips. Crips are smokin’ Bloods while the Bloods…well, are being SMOKED by Crips. Despite Crips outnumbering Bloods @ LEAST 3-To-1, obviously it wasn’t so one-sided when it came to bangin’, retaliations, killers, fighters, etc or there wouldn’t BE no Bloods. So, while Crips may have left the theaters satisfied, Bloods left angry & insulted… Who could blame them?!
