    Great explanation! I like how simple but also complex it is

      It's such a fun game! And with series 2 coming soon I feel another few videos incoming.
      Thank you for watching!

    The "Collectability" factor aside, I really like the Rivals system. Hoping to see different chasers in future waves as opposed to simply a "Hologram" version of characters already in the wave.

      Totally agree! I've played a dozen matches now and it is very tactical especially when both players draft the location deck from a pool of booster boxes etc. The hologram mechanic is a weird one because it encourages a 'pay to win' tactic with holograms allowing you to draw and hold more cards in your hand. I've not play-tested holograms yet to see how badly it can 'one-side' a match but hopefully I pull one soon :')

      @@Paulrollsdice I've pulled two so far, holo versions have one less influence, which feels like an attempt at balancing, but an extra card in your hand is a very large benefit far outweighing the one less influence. We'll have to see what the future and meta holds I suppose.

      @@durzadurza2196 I didnt know that about the lower influence! Thank you for the info. But yeah, i agree with you. One less influence doesnt balance an extra card in hand. I'll try play test some holos if I pull any :')
      I'm hoping to get some more Rivals videos uploaded this week.

    Great video.
    I watched another one before this and was totally lost!

      Thank you so much! Have you managed to play a game yet? It's very fun but finding locals is hard. It's a nice one to collect too to be honest.

      @@Paulrollsdice Not yet. Gave it a go last night but couldn't work it out. Now I think I can manage. Might have to rewatch as I play though.

      Awesome stuff! Let me know how it goes! There's a ton of strategy with card plays and location effects as you play 👌

      Ah! Welcome to the addiction! I'm always bouncing between games and looking for good content ideas as I play a ton of them. My channel is a mixed bag of random stuff right now but I'll hopefully find my focus down the line 😂

    If only one character occupies a location, is it an automatic win?

    • @Paulrollsdice
      @Paulrollsdice  Před 6 měsíci +2

      If the location is a scoring location as decided by the dice roll then yes, that character automatically wins it.

    I just found and bought into this yesterday (haven't gotten to play a game yet). Looks interesting, and I'm excited to have a small game like this to play. My big question is, does anyone know of a good storage system for the game, and is there any type of sleeve that works for the cards?
    Thank you.
    Also, what is everyone's favorite character in the game so far?

    • @Paulrollsdice
      @Paulrollsdice  Před 11 měsíci

      Hope you enjoy it! The game is quite tactical and after a dozen games it is still a lot of fun. Mixing characters is great too and can balance the game somewhat due to there being no rules or total Influence cap per team.
      Storage-wise I have a plastic step-shelf that sits in my glass display case. My collection is growing now and I'm hoping I can complete the full set. I have some upcoming video unboxings of some booster packs I found (they seem to be running in short supply around me). The cards are tricky. I haven't sleeved them yet but have put them in a deck box for storage. Hope this helps!

    In your tutorial why didn't you move luke to location 1 for a guaranteed scoring opportunity?

    • @Paulrollsdice
      @Paulrollsdice  Před 11 měsíci +2

      Aww hecc! I never noticed 😂 Thank you for the spot. I'll rewatch it now to see the mistake 😂

    • @Paulrollsdice
      @Paulrollsdice  Před 11 měsíci +1

      I looked back. Unfortunately Luke didn't have an opportunity to move to location 1 as we place our units before the scoring dice is rolled. Luke does have access to a card that allows him to move locations i think but I didn't have it in my hand this time round :'(

    • @brendanp3324
      @brendanp3324 Před 11 měsíci

      @Paulrollsdice Not a big deal but at 7:15 in video you had Luke move card and sent him to fight ventless when he could went to 1 and definitely won that card...

      @Paulrollsdice No worries. The funky game description is terrible and yours isn't! The action cards are still a bit confusing but decent game. They mess with you too saying you need 3 players each side so I went and bought more blind boxes then found out you can use tokens... Doh. Got a couple holes though!
