They aren't worried about their surroundings or the suspect in this circumstance. You can see how calm they are in the full footage. It's much different from actual life-threatening stand-offs. They can identify the driver, see that he doesn't have anything dangerous on his record, and don't see him display signs of having a weapon or acting in a way where he is disregarding the lives of others. There isn't anything here that warrants this level of caution. They only stand around and bring out every toy they have so that they can justify owning said toys and MASSIVE amounts of funding. It seems comical because it is. Not saying there aren't times when it is completely justified to be this cautious. It definitely happens. This just isn't one of those times, and it isn't 99% of the time.

@Hunter Because the other version isn't a redundant cringe filled copy pasta waiting to happen, type whatever you want, the guy is just letting you know you sound like a loser.
Uvalde was a thing. Guy in the building shooting up elementary kids, and the cops just chillin in the parking lot and arresting the parents that wanted to go in and get the guy. Meanwhile, children calling the 911 and asking them to send in the responders because they're being executed in real time. Finally they found some mystical key that opened the door to the one classroom where the shooter was hiding, and at the end of all that they shot him dead anyway. So, if the officers really wanted to preserve life at that time, texas cops did a shit piss atrocious job of it. Some of those kids had to wait in the room with their murdered classmates for literal hours. So the cops always wanna boast about "doing the least amount of harm". Who can say how many kids might've been shot dead, or how many might've been saved. The fact is the kids were in the school getting shredded to pieces by a weapon that should not belong to an unstable civilian, there was a horrendous lapse in communication and training - ONLY ONE *WHOLE WEEK* AFTER A SPECIAL SCHOOL SHOOTERS TRAINERS COURSE FOR THOSE RESPONDERS - and they fucking blew it. It was documented. It was streamed for people to watch. Parents lost their babies on the last day of school. And the fact responders from other countries and cities came forward and said, "There are act orders, when you hear shots you act on that. You don't wait for orders." Because in that moment when the active shooters is culling the target, you're not going to save everyone, but acting and neutralizing the threat is foremost priority. And the fact parents were told, "the active shooter is in there, we can't go in there," is abhorrent. It all came down to none of those 'brave men in uniform' didn't want their face shredded by an Ak-47. They wanted to go home and see their families and be heroes. And no one huffed their bullshit cowardice.

bruv was like “oi oi how unkind of you to bump into me, I lost some helium, please stop following me you stalker, I’ll call the police”
The most infuriating thing about watching LAPD chases is how completely inept they are at stopping someone during a chase. Not just in this video, but in many, many others, you can see the multiple missed opportunities to stop them. This time they practically had him surrounded and still let him get away.
@KungFuAndrewTV They could have boxed him in at the intersection. That's well trained? They wasted tons of resources, damage to cars, put tons of people in jeopardy. I watch this and just think about the collapse of a nation. This is truly incredible, but I watched with my own eyes. At least they didn't shoot him or beat him up, I'll say that.
@KungFuAndrewTV if he had a firearm better to box him in on the highway rather than near peoples houses
@KungFuAndrewTV They tried several times to box him in later when his position was much harder to control.
Probably because most of the good cops who knew wtf to do fled that woke hell hole. Possibly a casting call for the next Police Academy video?
Rosco and Enus were better than these clowns

So true. It's always something this stupid or they use deadly force for someone looking at them with an angry face
Of course there’s no in between. Those stories don’t get all the clicks.
I don't know; it can go from 0 to 100 real quick. It just depends on the situation. It's all fun and games until someone reaches for the 9 (or attempts to scratch their ball itch).
@@zuglymonster this is a myrh and basically doesn’t happen. Those situations make national news, every time, and then it turns out they had a gun or were otherwise fighting police.

Imagine if this was an actual threat of some kind and this is how they handled it
If there was a real threat, the cops would pump the suspect full of bullets
You mean like the police in Uvalde? It’s already happened/happening….
And no one huffed their bullshit cowardice.
dude pretty much got the entire police force to show up, i'm surprised they didn't call in the national guard or something, since clearly this supervillain of gas is a very dangerous threat
What if he was literally just so stoned he couldn't find the perfect spot to pull over. So much of that was so unnecessary 😂

legit could have just walked up to the door, pull him out. It's hard to do, but they have 8 guys or so at the start.
There are tons of police schools, and I'm not sure if they all have identical curriculum, so I wonder if that is one of the reasons some of them are so inept (along with the other systematic issues), and some car chases in other areas the cops are more prepared
@@godslittlestidiot2984 Police schools teach the cops to be paranoid that every single potential criminal could be armed with ultra dangerous weapons or chemicals. That constant, irrational fear for their lives is why you see so much of what appears to be inefficiency and incompetence with how police come down on criminals. Either they drag their feet because they're scared they might get injured (Uvalde) or they go insane and act like the actual military (most SWAT raids).
Any other country he would have been apprehended by 2 police officers armed with nothing more than a tool to break his window. This whole video is like some kind of extreme parody. In any sane municipality it would lead to emergency budget hearings.
@@godslittlestidiot2984 Could be the the reason... I think Charlies description brings it to a point, it is really just baffling how inept they pull up with every offcer and armored police car in a 50 mile radius, wait for several hours to do nothing to get this guy and at the end, its literally just a stick and some smoke that gets him out of the car. 😂
It’s amazing how patient cops can be when they have camera flyin over em
